Contents of the video:
00:24 Installation and entering the license key
01:11 Searching for and reading of masters, reading parameters and creating the master's IP
02:29 Loading the IODD of a new device online
02:55 Opening the sensor's product page
03:26 Cockpit view and verification of the sensor's switch point
03:57 Parameter setting of a sensor
05:23 Parameter setting of an actuator
06:40 Exporting the process values
07:02 Printing and saving parameter data
08:10 IODD finder, deleting offline IODDs
08:36 Scanning USB and network port
08:56 Security feature ifm IO-Link master
The LR DEVICE enables uniform parameter setting and visualisation of all sensors and actuators with IO-Link interface and a parameter setting of ifm IO-Link masters. Some of the standard functions include the import of IODDs, as well as searching in the databank of the IODD finder, and the automatic identification of connected devices. A clear representation of the adjustable parameters allows easy definition of the device functions. The parameter sets can be stored and transferred. They can also be archived as pdf files for documentation purposes. The process values can be illustrated with graphs during setup. This helps the user set up the parameters for different applications and ensures smooth operation of the system.

How to setting chart in Cookpit function ( Add signal or data of output 4-20 mA )
Dear IFM Group Companie I have a IO LINK MASTER AL1000 and I would like to know which version should use the LR DEVICE ? Because I did a download in website IFM and does not show this device. Can you help me please ?
This device is not compatible with LR Device or Moneo. AL11xx, AL12xx, AL13xx or AL14xx series
support the configuration via these tools.
@@ifmgroup thanks for your prompt answer. Let me ask you just one more question. The AL1000 is possible to use in TIA PORTAL ?
@@DDMMAGALHAES Yes, this is the main functionality of this device.
hello,
First thank your efforts, I just have a small question is it possible to find my IO link master without having a License numbre? thank you for your answer
Yes, ifm IO-Link masters can be found other ways. There is Hilscher "Ethernet Device Configuration" (To set a different Ip: Configure -> Set Ip address)
ifm IO-Link masters are set in DHCP mode from factory settings.
It is possible to setup a DHCP server that will assign a IP for the PC to communicate.
Hope this information will help you. We cannot send you Screenshots via RUclips. If you need further help, please contact our service team via info@ifm.com and reference to [VNC#4906].
Nice video, how can we run this on Ubuntu and Mac?
Hello,
Unfortunately, there are no example projects for this yet.
Have a nice day!
Best regards from the ifm Social Media Team
I'm having trouble detecting my AL1950. I've tried using the Ethernet Device Configuration too, to no avail. Any suggestions?
Let’s see how we can assist you, sometimes some software can block the scan function on you PC from the Ethernet Device Configuration. Please try using LR Device, if this continuous please let us know your location as one of our local experts can contact you to assist.
Awesome hardware, miserable flop on the software: flakey and slow. LR and Tomcat7 also hog computer resources when not running.
Thank you for your comment and that you appreciate our hardware. We are sorry that we could not convince you with our software so far. We have constantly improved the LR Device in the last versions and made it more performant, so that there were no more performance problems in the software. Providing the required resources for the Tomcat is no problem for current IT hardware and quite low. If you have problems with the current version 1.5, please contact ifm support so that we can work on possible bugs. You may also have a performance problem with the IO-Link hardware. Thank you very much for your advice and that you continue to have confidence in ifm products.
Great video, is there anyway you can set the light to change colour if the value falls out of a range set?
Thank you! No, unfortunately it is not possible. Such logic cannot be defined in the IO-Link master, it needs to be realized by control systems (PLC).
Nice video. How can i change the polarity of a sensor from LR DEVICE?
Hello Mr. Malacara, on this website you should find all information www.ifm.com/de/en/de/lr-device. Please feel free contact us if you have any further questions.
