Great to see this project coming to fruition! Spark 1 is a great game but optimization isn't Lake's forte Did you fix the input management slowdown? I figured the joystick and xbox extensions for clickteam fusion were conflicting with one another, and that's what was causing most of the random slowdown. I managed to fix it for Simple Sonic Worlds by replacing all of that fuzz with the SDL2 extension, its probably similar in Spark
@@ivanalmeida4555 Thanks! I'm aware that the joystick extension gets disabled at the start of the application when it runs at a lower certain framerate as a failsafe. I think it was 5 FPS but also I did make a prototype replacing the Joystick and Xbox extension with SDL months ago, it just needs more testing and I plan to switch over to SDL when the right time comes for it.
holy shit I can finally play this game on a modern OS seriously why does Lake just let his old games fall further and further from compatibility with modern machines? Do any of his Sonic games even boot on Win11?
I think Feperd is keen on developing new games right now, like xf extreme formula. Also he said that the engine where he developed his fangames and spark (clickteam fusion) is terrible and give him a bunch of problems.
Update 1.0.5 was released to fix 2 bugs that prevented the player to use the ability wheel in later stages. You can download it now.
