So 😮💨 apparently there are some REALLY bad allegations going around about Bohdan which I didn’t know when filming this video but became aware after filming. Just letting you know that I came across the allegations before I get messages about it.
Well Ig Chelsea didn’t do much of a good job on casting ppl for the show but the good thing is that apparently Bohdan isn’t very prominent in the show

The cast is reflective of the demographic in DC. It is a hotspot for black professionals. Also, there are military bases and government buildings in and around DC (nations capital), which is why there are so many military people.
I definitely been told to move there but I don’t do well either cold.
It’s quite the melting pot here in DC
I feel like military people are the safest demographic cause most others got too much to lose. I just wish they had more residents. it's giving very much transits.

Yes it’s rare for black men to openly express their love for black women on reality shows but it seems like a huge double standard and just plain weird to me. White ppl are allowed to only want their own race and vice Versa…Just my opinion….

@@TennisBarbie119 You do know that accents don’t technically fit with ethnicity, right? Like, some people, even if their appearance doesn’t fit the stereotype, can still get the accent of a community or country.
They wouldn’t be making a blind dating show if they didn’t consider such factors. Assuming something because you hear or sense (in this case, no one sees each other till the proposal so…..) doesn’t always mean it’s true.

a lot of military personel like to work for the government afterwards bc they can keep those nice benefits esp if they did 4 and hit the door as opposed to retiring from the military.. also a lot of governemnt jobs will give you more or a chance/look if you formerly were in the Armed Forces

These shows have made me cynical...Tim is a web content strategist and he's come on Love is Blind but has made a point to say he wants a black woman. I don't think Tim wants a wife, he wants to be an influencer...I hope he proves me wrong

re: Leo saying he's "crunchy", it means like "granola" or hippie-ish. I'm guessing that's where the yoga and mediation comes in. I can totally see how the girly girls wouldn't work out for him, too. Kind of like the dynamic we saw between Micah and Paul a few seasons ago.
Nick D is a red flag for me. He's talking like the relationship is a transaction. Also saying he's perfect? That makes me think he won't be open to any of the change or compromise necessary when you share life with someone.

Yes the DC area is full of military and former military people. I'm sure the members are not only from DC, but the whole metro which is known as the DMV (DC, Maryland, VA) normally only the Northern VA part is included in this. I grew up there and a lot of my family is still there. It has been that way for a long time!

As someone that is born and raised in DC this cast is very much giving “DC adjacent” . Disappointed in the amount of melanin in the men…supposed “chocolate city” it’s givinggggg Gentrification 😅 I noticed the men don’t really match the women from the pictures 😅
I agree. That’s coming from a “DC adjacent” girl. I grew up in Silver Speing but currently residing in DC and I can tell😂😂 And same on being disappointed in the lack of melanin

There are multiple military bases in Washington D.C. area, probably the most concentrated in the U.S. And all branches are represented. You’ve got the Pentagon, Fort Myer, Joint base Anacostia, Quantico, ect. Too many to type out. And the location is primed for exiting or retirement due to the easy transition into another government job.
As mentioned much of DC population is either employed with the federal government or a government contractor. And in terms of working for the federal government, former military folks get a preference or extra points in the application process so that's why so many land here in DC.
Love is Blind needs to fix their recruiting process which is likely still an issue in this upcoming season where they recruit the men out of the blue via social media, but recruit the woman via the applications they receive. I assume they did this to guarantee drama, but there will be drama regardless if they recruit the men and the women the same way in future seasons. This will still be an issue in the next few seasons regardless since it takes roughly 2 years from the initial recruitment to the reunion and I doubt they made any drastic changes in the seasons that have recently been filmed.

DC has a huge population of ex military because of the federal contracting jobs that most obtain when they get out.
