It seems very common for Americans to start dating so young. My husband and I started dating when I was 20, married at 23. Then for the next 14 years we had babies. 10 in total. No sex before marriage. My husband and I are both so grateful that we waited.

I met my husband when I was 22, he was 26. I had a “boyfriend” in 4/5th grade, but had never truly dated anyone. My first few years of college I had a few guys ask me out, but I was very firm on the believe I didn’t want to just date to date.
Our first date was a school picnic and it was so fun and I knew by the end of the day that I was going to marry him.
We got married a year and one month later. We had never held hands, kissed or hugged. Instead of kissing me after our vows he pulled me in for a big hug, then he kissed me. ♥️

Relate so much with your love story! My husband and I were high school sweethearts, virgins, married at 19, had 3 kids by age 25, have 12 grandchildren and just celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary. It's the way!! 💕

My Husband and I grew up in the same church since the nursery. Been through jr Camps, and Sunday schools and more! I actually started liking him at 11 and he had just turned 13.I started praying for my spouse at 11 years old. Nothing happened til 15 and 16 When we went to a Teen Camp in Canada. God was dealing with him about something and he was crying and in that moment my heart had a connection with is. Long story short at 15 and 17 we officially started....not dating and not courting, but he called it "reserving". We never kissed til our wedding day and saved ourselves til marriage. We got married at 20 and 22. We have been married for almost 9 years. We have 4 babies and have moved a lot due to Army life. But he is currently deployed and my heart is longing for him. Thank you for sharing your story. And for being a Godly example to many young couples. Your story encouraged me and has me almost in tears missing my hubby.

My husband and I were raised as "Christians" but in a very broken worldly way . We came together as very broken worldly people with a lot of baggage at only 18 years old . We have fully recommited our lives to christ and have 6 children . Our story looks and sounds totally different than how we wished it was . A lot of struggles with tainted hearts and minds from our worldy lives growing up. I can't wait for our kids to have a pure love and marriage with out the worldly struggles we have had to go through when if we were just taught different we would have made different choices and life wouldn't have been as hard but I do know it has brought us to where we are and we are blessed and now we have the opportunity to raise our babies the right way and give them a better head start in life ❤ props to both of your parents for the way they raised the 2 of you ! You're adorable and an inspiration to see what the future could hold for my kids if we keep on keeping on ❤
And I am just so excited to talk to my kids about this and witness through my broken story when they're a little older ❤

This is beautiful and you two are such an inspiration to me. I’m a Gen Z and society pushes sex and hookup culture and I’m a young lady who doesn’t want to fit in anymore, I use to as a teenager but now that I’m 20, I want to stay true to myself. I’m a virgin and I’ve made the decision to stay that way until God blessed me with the young man that he himself made and designed for me. I had my first real teen kiss at 18. So, 2 years ago, it was ok but not the best, it was rushed more on the guy’s part. I wasn’t ready for that and was upset about it, stopped talking to him and haven’t done anything since. I don’t count that as my first real kiss because it wasn’t something I wanted. Finally, a couple willing to post true commitment, true honor, and exactly why. You both delve deep into the reasons. You don't have to share it, but you do. Me too, my son is 14 and daughter 11, ice started to pray for God fearing spouses if the Lord grants them marriage, so this id truly encouraging.

I have only just found you and what a joy you are! I don't share your faith or belief but I don't feel I need to. What I do share is the love and joy you so obviously have for each other and that warms my heart. I recently lost my soulmate, best friend and and partner and I miss him more than I ever thought was possible. We had 30 lovely, funny, adventurous years together so if I was to offer one notion to you, it is never miss an opportunity to tell your partner you love them. In a way, for me this is how I did it, I looked at it as honoring my wife, then my girlfriend. I did not want to dishonor her.
And on my wedding, I stood before God and committed myself to her.
I am a sinner, no disputing that. But I chose to be faithful.
It is funny, I think, that this is Evangelical in the best sense of tge word. Having a child, loving your kids.
Wanting to be a good dad. Evangelical.
I went to a Men's conference and before it started, we were getting coffee and a snack and introduced ourselves to other men.
A few were asking, what do you want from this conference.
I said to be a better dad. A better husband.
Another man I didn't know, he responded. Me too.

It's definitely refreshing hearing about love stories like this that are this...pure and clean...especially in our modern world today. Patience and waiting seems to be a lost virtue, especially specifically in regards to waiting on God...and in relationships. You guys are Awesome in Christ and I try my best Not to be envious...I mean, here I am pushing 30, still trying to live for God, though imperfectly...and no matter how much I've dreamed of getting married...have a beautiful story not unlike yours...let's just say God had other plans...and it's overall been a very painful and lonely journey. Setting aside all that whining though...still trusting God's gonna make something beautiful out of it...I wish I was Through this part of my life, but I'm not...so just hanging in there...focusing on Jesus really helps numb the pain. You two are SO blessed. I watched this with a lump in my throat, so touching, the love of God. I'm 58 now, but I would have given anything to have been raised by parents who loved the Lord and brought me up that way. Praise the Lord, I found Him and got saved, just a little too late for this kind of love story. What beautiful God serving parents you both had and that goes a long way in this touching story.

I just discovered you guys yesterday. Let me tell you, you guys are awesome! I know exactly the kind of hardships chastity comes with. My boyfriend and I have done everything you said no to, except sex. It's so difficult. I have so much respect for you two. My boyfriend and I have been dating since we were 17. We are both now 21. We also plan to get married after college, which is another year. Your love story is beautiful. It reminded me a lot of how I met my boyfriend. Like you, I had been praying for my future husband and asked God to allow him to have all these qualities. Amazingly, God granted every single quality. Trey and I met for the first time on October 6th, 2017. I just had my birthday 2 days prior and was 15. It was the last song of the night, and it was a slow song. I was heading out because all of my female friends had partnered up, singling me out. Trey, my current boyfriend, asked me to dance. This was the first time I'd ever met him. We danced, and I never wanted the song to end. At the end of the song, Trey dipped me. This was the first time I was dipped. On our way out, being the romantic he is, he kissed my hand as we were saying goodbye. A year passed, and he never went to the dance again. Then, on my birthday in 2019, I was a Homecoming candidate for my class. I must have been in 10th grade. When I was waiting for the first dance of the night, I got a feeling that Trey would be there. I mistook a senior for being Trey because he looked similar. Then I realized that it wasn't the senior when Trey came bursting in a minute before we'd be announced. My dance partner was a joke. He had switched from a nice suit to sesame street clothes. During the entire duration of the first dance, all I wanted to do was dance with him. After the dance, I could not find him. He just disappeared. I learned later that he went home to take a nap. Towards the end of the night, I wished that I could dance with the boy I had danced with 2 years ago. A female voice said in my head, "He's here." I was dancing a line dance awkwardly. I get my directions wrong. So the song would tell me to go right, I'd go left and vice versa. One time, when the Cupid's Shuffle said to spin, I happened to glance over to Trey and saw that he was looking at me. The next few times I looked, he wasn't looking my way. He later told me that he was trying to sneakily take glances at me for fear of being a stalker. After the song was done, I propped myself up against a mat on the wall, trying to get the courage to ask him to dance. I didn't need to, though. The next time I looked in his direction, I realized he was walking toward me. I was trying to tell myself that he was probably heading toward one of the girls behind me so I would not be disappointed when he walked past me. To my astonishment and delight, he stopped in front of me. He asked me to dance. I said, "Yes," and we danced. After the song, I did what I promised myself before the dance had started. If I danced with another boy besides the one I was forced to dance the first dance with, I would give him my number. I told him I wanted to give him my number. I thought he was joking when he said he didn't have a phone. I did not account for if he didn't have a phone. My stubbornness didn't let no be the final answer. I sped walked all the way to the hallway. It was comical. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Trey speed walk ahead of me. I would have doubled over in laughter if I didn't have a mission. Trey asked one of his friends if she had a pencil. I don't think she did. However, there just so happened to be a pencil on the table below a poster about the Shrine Circus. Anyway, Trey tore a piece of the poster and handed it to me. While I was writing it down, he commented that my handwriting was nicer than his. I again thought he was joking. He was not. I turned it over to write my name on the back, then realized my name was too long to fit on the back. I gave the paper to him with just my phone number. He asks me if I want to dance the final song. As it turned out, there were two songs left. We danced those two songs. Now, for ease of reading I left this detail out. I thought Trey's name was Trenton both chance encounters. It was only after the dance was over that a mutual friend told me his name was Trey. I thought that was a nickname. It was not. She also thought he might have a girlfriend. I learned later that he did not. That relationship she mentioned only lasted a couple weeks. He hadn't been dating anyone for a week at least. Anyway, after the dance, one might say I got obsessed with him. I had learned that he was a football player, so I found him in the football lineup. He went to a different school but our schools were commented with sports. Trey was late because the game that was meant to be a homegame was in a place an hour away from my school. Anyway, 2 weeks go by, and I finally make a comment to my mom about the boy. She asked me why I didn't find him on Facebook. Later that day, I found his name. I snooped around on his account to make sure I got the right person. I did and I messaged him a long message similar to this one. I said something along the lines of, "If you want to talk, I'd love to get to know you. If not, please tell me so I can leave you alone." So that long message would have scared away any boy, but it didn't scare Trey away. He messaged me an hour later because he was watching Star Trek. I found that hilarious. After that, the rest is history. We had a long distance relationship for about a year despite being less than 40 miles away. Covid was a pain in my rear. Anyway, if you've read this, kuddos to you. I hope you enjoyed my love story. I know I want to be with Trey forever and for always as my necklace he got me says. I hope everyone who reads this finds the love of their life. God bless.

Thank you for being committed to God for your future. I found this very outdated way to bless young peoples futures when hearing a pastor talk at a homeschooling convention in the 90's that I attending with my young teenage daughters. I knew I had done it the wrong way myself but wanted this God ordained protection for my girls. So I committed myself to learning more. Little did I know that I would divorce and because I loved God, I dedicated my life to this waybof living myself. I became a youth minister and wow was this an unpopular message. Most parents didn't see the need for the protection provided with the true love waits message. We attended Pam Stenzel confrence and the teens did not like the message of warning. I am now raising a teenager granddaughter that deserves the protection even more. Weve been praying for her future spouse. My daughters went thru the deconstruction of theyre faith but I will remain steadfast as I come along side my granddaughter who deserves Gods bright future. And I am still waiting myself, trusting God for my future and may just have a gift of singleness for life lol! Not a popular movement for 60 year olds. Women need protection and deserve happiness and I will not compromise my position. God first always. His plan is perfect. Thank you for being so real.

I was brought up in a Christian home, but I still didn't save myself for marriage. I had intended to, but when I first started dating at 20 years old the temptation proved to be too great for both of us. I wanted to get married, but she didn't and so I was left "tainted" by that experience. I eventually did marry a virgin, but I was not so I felt bad about that. So not everyone raised in a Christian home is so fortunate.

I have had a couple failed relationship that were not pure as well.. I am not proud those times of my life but I am thank full to God for helping overcome that phase in my life and enabling me to love Him now.
I wasn't raised in godly home, and my parents were separated when I was just 3.. I grew with little or almost no attention at all.. I desired to keep myself till marriage but then at the same time I wanted attention. So, it was so conflicting for me as I just desperately wanted attention. I then started dating and that was it...
I am really encouraged right now. Though I am no longer a virgin but I have been keeping myself now for six years now..
I am trusting God to bring that right person into my life.

Wow. I feel like God is really trying to show me something. When I watched this, I was kind of surprised at how similar it is to me and my boyfriend's love story and what it has looked like so far. The difference is that you guys are grown up and finally done with the wait, and ours is still going. I just want to say that you guys are living our dream. Also, fun fact, you guys got married on my birthday!
My boyfriend and I met in 8th grade, became best friends in 9th, and started dating in 10th, when we were 15. We are now rising seniors.
We're getting close to our two year anniversary. We often talk about how much we wish we could be married, and we try to help each other through the temptation. Our saying, I guess you could call it our motto, is "One day. Not yet, but one day."
I'm so glad to hear that there is someone else out there who married their high school sweetheart that was their first boyfriend. SO many people have told me that it's unrealistic to expect to marry my first boyfriend (including my parents) and others have told me that I'm missing out on dating and getting to know other people because I've only ever had one boyfriend. Others just roll their eyes and think that I'm just some little girl who thinks she's just going to find a guy and live happily ever after with him without considering reality. But I really do love my boyfriend with the purest kind of love, that's kept alive by genuine adoration of his personality, his values, his quirks, and everything that makes him into the multidimensional masterpiece that he is. I can't imagine myself with anyone else.
I'm so glad that you guys are here to answer questions that I've had about sex that I've been too afraid to ask anyone else, and answer them according to the Bible and God's beautiful design for sex. The world needs more of this type of message and it's a shame that we're surrounded but such a disgusting, tainted view of such a beautiful gift.
