What is Dread Hunger?
A game of survival and betrayal. Eight Explorers path their ship through the unforgiving Arctic. Among the crew, two traitors call on dark powers to undermine them.

This one made me laugh, especially Skadj when he was like "If she was god tier then WHY DIDNT WE FUCKEN WIN?" Absolutely killed me with the last game.

Chilled: spins wheel to the right for 3 seconds.
Me: why does no one notice chilled turning the wrong way when they are standing right next to him

Chilled has something kinda like plot armor, at times. People just don't notice him.

Chilled always manages to form such great groups.
Someone: "Who's the dipsh*t that drove the boat into a rock?"
Chilled: "That's me, I'm fixing it."
*immediately proceeds to drive the boat into a rock*

Best part of the bear being one-shot is that Junk actually could've lived if they didn't both default to the ole "Outrun your buddy" strat. Definitely thought the bear would recover between fights.
Chilled crashing the boat over and over has me dying!
I've never seen this game before, so I had no idea what was going on. Then a minute or so later I watched him throw a whole inventory's worth of shit straight into the water and went, _"Oh lol, he a bad man. Alright, I got it. Took me a minute, but I got it."_

Chilled making those coal barrels but not using them as bombs had me curious how he was gonna Sabo the boat LuL then I saw the beautiful sailing

the coal barrels dont explode. the powder kegs do.
You have to turn the coal into gunpowder to do that
Its like 2 and a half barrels of gunpowder to make the boat full of holes, and the coal barrels don't explode you have to turn them into gunpowder.
@@dragonace119 actually it's less than 1 barrel the max holes is 20 and it's 1 hole per gunpowder so only 2/3rds of a gunpowder barrel is needed
@@metaking22 In my experience one barrel only causes a little less than max holes, though that just might be placement issues.

Idk why but the graphics of this game are actually insane. Look at the ice and water. I just didn't expect it look that nice for what it is. Better then many of the big boy companies comming out with their games in 2022.
Yeah Sea of Thieves also has great water graphics. Something about the cartoony(?) graphics compliment the waves.

I absolutely lost it when he screamed “Fuck you, seal!” Absolutely beautiful.
I honestly think it's just the sudden shift from him laughing about the joke, to him suddenly yelling and firing, that just sets it all off

I like games like this or Project Winter much more than Among Us, it's more exciting when the crew has the ability to fight back and so the traitors have to be cunning in their deception.
Dread Hunger, Project Winter, Amoogus, Secret Hitler, Town of Salem, and Unfortunate Spacemen are some of my favorite games to watch Chilled play

@@EStramel09 I don't know if I'm right, but the whetstone sharpens your sword so it probably makes your weapon deal more damage to people/animals

Chilled you can make gun powder kegs after making a barrel and blow the boat up, they will need 1wood and nail for every whole

Greg and Chilled’s conversations in this are fucking beautiful 😂😂 Gives me old Skyrim vibes with the character models
Also the ending of that second round with Side and Chilled was badass- Greg commentating the whole encounter, Chilled’s serious expression cracking with a smile, and all the snipes with his bow *chef’s kiss*
2:10:44 Chilled managed to blow himself up twice with a single explosion, because, with an entire cliff to jump off of, he shatters his kneecaps directly on top of his own corpse, left over from the last time he leapt to his death to deny another creature the satisfaction of killing him.

It's hard enough for survivors to win, even without thralls actively working against the crew. General incompetence, to even a slight degree, will more often result in failure than success. It should be played how it is meant to be played so they can learn what does and doesn't work and how to build strategies around it. Even if Kara had said something, it was likely the thralls would've won game 1.
If they are in jail and the thralls don’t want to them tell, they can open the cells and kill them again to get them fully out. You aren’t dead dead when you’re in brig.

I'm confused by the goal of this game. You want the ship to get to open waters to avoid a blizzard, but you've also been dealing with the ship having no food so aren't the sailors just doomed to starve in the end?
The crew is “doomed” if they cannot fulfill their mission. For convenience, feel free to presume that civilization is just on the other side of the ice they’re meant to pass, and then they’re home free.
It just so _happens_ that a blizzard is on the way to prevent them from stabilizing an icy society in the meantime.
Really like this game, judging from how you guys talk about it though, it sounds like there’s a power imbalance for the thralls.
That's mainly because they're all so new to it. Watch an experienced group play and it's not nearly as one sided
Give them time. Evil corrupts slowly but all eventually revel in its power.
The main issue is the ability to chain whiteouts, if the thralls are skilled, but they aren't even close to that yet. It does favor the thralls, but, with a competent group, the gap diminishes. The thralls are not good enough, based on this video, to take advantage of their edge. The crew handicapped themselves, though.
It’s already a difficult survival game without the thralls to be sure, but it’s ways to adjust the difficulty of the survival aspects to balance it.

Vetstone is the most op thing in the game it upgrade your weapon damage and you just leave it in the box
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOO I KNEW HE WOULD PLAY THIS SOMEDAY.
It's possible to do more that 1 thrall and have an explorer win it just comes down to trust everyone in the group is like sure I'll trust you and I'll craft whatever you need and it's not good for explorers you need to have the I'm gonna ally with 1 or 2 people and see if there sus or not mentality.
