This is the way forward for Singapore.
Bravo, Singapore has Aquaponic. A way towards self sufficiency in food supply.
It doesnt seem like an aquaponic, just aquaculture
Congrats Singapore on the breakthrough innovation on urban farming technologies.
well-done. its so exciting for these innovation and brave steps forward.
Taking the saying "teach a man to fish" up a notch
Bravo Singapore, onward marching Singapore All the.. best..
im happy to see these progress. singapore needs these.
As a malaysian i really respect singapore.
Still waiting for the day we have high rise farming where chicken waste and fish poo from lower levels can be directly fed to roof top vegetable and fruit gardens. A perfect eco-recycling within a building.
I do not know what are the implications but it seems we are not making enough use of our rooftops. :(
The more efficient way is to separate the vegetables, chicken and fish to their own multi story farms, you dumbfuck. Cause each have their own intricacies and if you put them together it will be inefficient. Next, even if the chicken waste and fish pop is to be used as fertilisers they definitely won’t be directly fed to the vegetables due to hygiene reasons, you moron, they have to be processed separately into an appropriate form before being used on the vegetables
Have saw a Chinese documentary about their implementation of organic fish and vegetable farm. Vegetables are farm using hydroponics and together with porous stones act as water filter. If that is implemented on a high raised build setting, rooftop garden probably isn't enough. It will require a few levels dedicated to vegetables farming using grow light.
@@hianhoolim7786 The huge fish and poultry waste will overwhelmed the rooftop system. The pt is how to create the right balance so that everything works in
equilibrium.
I am sure with careful planning and a few greenhouse floors, mirrors n ventilation for vegetation should do the trick.
@@mindtwister1984 the more important questions is how to make it economically viable. What the Chinese did was to ensure both fish and vegetable meet the classification of organic produce which commands a premium, however not sure will that trick work in a high raised farm. Vegetables produce using sunlight are organic without a doubt but grow light?
Edit
Using mirrors or reflection of sunlight is unlikely to work. Imagine using 1 rooftop to reflect light to a few levels of vegetables. That means each level is receiving a fraction the sunlight compared to directly on rooftop.
pretty cool to do this. it must have been rather a crazy idea to build multi storey fish farm. kudos~
Well done SG. always move forward
Unbelievable and methods so organically used .Only Singapore can do something like this. ❤❤🌺🥰😊🌱🌱
can the detailed video with all different stages can be made n we can see how does this system is working & what are capacities and working of different stages
Well done SG 💕👍🏻
What a great idea....keep going jia yu
I respect you as a leading company
in the sustainable aquaculture industry.
What an amazing facility. Anyone knows if there is a way for general public to visit this facility?
2700 tonnes... that's a lot, for urban intensive aqua farming.
Wow, tallest fish farm in the world is in Singapore! That's great! 👍👌👏
i am not surprised, one day SG will be a net exporter of agri-products..
EXCELLENT PLAN! THIS PANDEMIC HAS SHOWN US THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING SELF SUFICIENT IN MATTERS OF ENERGY, WATER, AND FOOD PRODUCTION! THE FARM SHOULD BE ABLE TO GENERATE ITS OWN ENERGY SOURCE!
Nice project, great initiative. Got to make it work long-term. And look at the issues such as environmental knock-on effects. What do they do with the waste?
A different way of Aqua Farming so nice and Safety.
Unbelievable country, proud of it. So small yet so clever.
Very interesting concept.
Singapore don't need to depend on neighbouring countries for the supply if this goes well.
Bravo
Still need water supply though...
@@troy5333 Time will come, even in water Singapore will be self-sufficient.
Singapore always planning ahead. Seeing things where others don’t.
But a lot of Singaporean still sleeping .....
@@khoocheepeng In response to your message, every Singaporean always looking to improve.
Very interesting, thanks for sharing my friend 👍👍👍
Great job. This is scalable! and can lead to many more other possibilities (chicken, vegetables, etc) for a more sustainable future of Singapore.
Lol. The company is under judicial management... Still think it's scalable?
The fish meat should be lower in mercury content?
Is Mr Lucky Phua related to Phua Chu Kang?
How to venture in aquaculture? Does Singapore offer any course?
Good job!
So "lucky" to have such urban vertical and land base fish farms.
Now singapore also can deal with emergency situations independently and feed the dependents..still long way to go from only manpower to farming
Good job, one more step to self-sustainability!
Self susceptibility???- is is only supplying 30% of the demand.
@@mmore7285 One step at a time, madam.
@@mmore7285 this kind of thing takes time and money. Not possible to be 100% self-sustainable overnight!
@@fuwafuwa5581 Ma'am said susceptibility ..
@@TheChenchen She has no idea what she talking about. The video clearly is about being self-reliant and finding sustainable methods to do so.
Make sure work goes to our SG bros and sis.
the boss know what to do
Singaporean First💖
Mann. This is awesome
Scale this up for the sake of our own survival...bravo!
No more worries about toxic seafood from contaminated ocean, no more dead fish caused by toxic sea algae. Truly a marvelous innovation.
Amazing wise move!
Bravo .... Organic FISH farm .....
Will the fish taste good when fed on artificial food
Can conventional buildings withstand the weight of so many tanks and water in the building? Feels unsafe if it goes too high.
Structural engineers know how to construct it even higher than that. As long you have the bidget for the high construction cost, no problem.
Wonderful, way to produce safe and pollution free food source. And probably sells 10times market rate.
2023 here, did it work out to become 2700t?
Now this is the correct thing, grow all the expensive thing with mark up to earn.
How are you going to control,if any infection, will not the closed environment make it easy to spread?
When I grow up I want to be Aqua Man.
I always interested in such business
How to apply work there
What fish are tgey
This is great
Layman looks at excitement and professional will look at technology and practical design and who lead the business!
Love it
Excellent Singapore
We need few more buildings like this to sufficiently suppy our sea food.
Great News!
change water temperature we can farm Salmon or change to salt water farm tuna and we can sell to Japan..
ermm its high cost to chill tons of water ,lol
Great!
Huat Ah! 👍👍👍👏👏👏
Weird yet cool
Singapore is awesome.
It is ..🥰
Freaking cool as hell...
Not only is this cool, the technology is very well designed and put together...
Majula Singapura!!!
I Love Singapor.....go Ahead ......
WOW nice
Wow! No antibiotics applied or needed in the rearing of the fishes. lets hope they rear prawns too :)
Yes in tuas area now
Urban fish, amazing.
Singapore always do good decision... upcoming n plans
Senior director Lucky Phua, this venture guarantee successful. 😁
Good job
Looks good but practical or sustainable or not, times will tell! God blessed
Cmon SG ... we can do it!!!
please if possible this same project in my country iran
Can you give more in depth abt the feeds to these mass fishes. Ultimately it will goes to the human body.
Nice...
But is not this better if we do it under indirect sunlight? Because the light from sun is very good to help the fishes grow up faster
Power la!
This is something I had planned for in Jan 2021 for my upcoming venture
Glad to know I wasn’t wrong, someone is doing it right
Have u started?
👍 superb
Now we need a chicken version of this.
What kind of english is that they saying
He said, they are not feeding the fish with antibiotic. What kind of feed are they using to feed the fish?
Fish food
you don't need antibiotics when there is no contamination 😀
I'm from Indonesia. Can I sell cantang grouper seeds here? if it's normal, what are the requirements. thank you sir🙏🙏
Are these reared with fresh water or sea water? The sea water variety is more tasty and less 'smelly' ....I suppose it is possible but may be more costly to consumers......I never liked fresh water fish....but anyway this is a great leap forward for Singapore's food security
There is already one video uploaded where fish farming uses filtered/cleaned seawater. Yes, I agree with you, seawater reared fishes taste better and smell better too.
Indian thinkers and planners should see this kind of clean way of producing and cultivation of fish.
Imagine this, these fishes will never see sunlight in their entire life. Sad
Most fishes spend their time in the dark deep ocean, dude.
Add lighting as artificial sunlight..
It’s so unnatural. Fish in the wild swim for miles. These poor fish will swim in their madness. So depressing
Delicious Lapu-lapu fish
My humble suggestion is beluga Caviar
Looking forward to seeing our first tallest vegetable farm...
Next time nasa need you to colonization of space
Do build super large sea farms like China, Norway etc. Hit 1mil tons soon 😊
Shybas Singapura!! 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
,*syabas
Was excited to see this video when it was posted but sad to see the business has since failed. These types of setups are so expensive to create that the business cannot generate enough cash flow to make it a feasible business.
Vertical farming, vertical fishery, what else?
Luckily Singapore has LUCKY here.😜
Good idea. Please post your electric bill on the next update.
you will surprised !
Right size sind turbines and solar panels placed on the rooftop will be of great help.
Malaysia should follow as soon as possible
