I had the same issue with my dewalt after I dropped it. I had to remove the snap ring that holds the spring and collar on. Inside there is a washer that is split. It locks the spring into place. The smaller side of the washer fell off. I fixed that and put it all back together. No more issues. It was also keeping it from locking onto the bit when inserted.
The dewalt has the best collets they never fail, like those two do you see when you apply pressure to a screw use a drill bit the bit goes in a little further no wobble
I'm a Milwaukee guy but I do have one dewalt the 845 and I tell u all 3 of my Milwaukee wobble just as bad as that dewalt one is even worse as for flex can't say don't own one never will batteries are crap
I had the dcf887 and the collet wobbled like CRAZY . Luckly i sold it and switching to Milwaukee ❤️🖤

Not surprised the Dewalt has a fair bit of wobble from new
One of the very few things I hate abt dewalt impacts, that gd wobble.
Yea idk why the dewalts are like that but it seems like all the dewalts have that dewalt wobble
My DeWalt has the same play it and the 840
Seems like all the dewalts have that dewalt wobble to them
Just noticed my default does the same thing. M12 should be in this week tho
Dewobble
Hahaha

wish i listened to this before purchasing 840 and 850 .makes using an extension useless .
Yea thats my biggest complaint with it
My 787 doesn’t seem to wobble much.
My Metabo is tight too
Love the ole triple hammer

You expect a collet to be tight like a drill chuck? Oh my...🙃
lol did I say that? It’s a comparison genius
Doesn't effect anything, normal people have the other end in a screw😂
Lol normal people 🤣
you didn’t put it in all the way
That's what she said...
I own both, but that's what it looks like to me too, the bit doesn't look like it is all the way in on the Dewalt
Ok i expect some wobble but that says drop
Yeah I’m gonna say someone dropped your dewalt mine isn’t anywhere near that bad.
I use it alot but it's never been dropped
100% agree mine ain’t no way near that bad
Everybody at my company has dewalt they wabble
Someone’s getting desperate to find problems lol
Buddy I could care less, just showing yall the difference
