He can be justified in feeling proud of himself representing an accomplishment paved by Tuskegee Airmen. He would be considered a current role model for his daughter, his family and an influencer to so many others. This is really GREAT. Rather than complain, be thankful. My dad was in the Navy for 20 years, and when he was offered to go to Guam or back to Pearl Harbor, he was told he couldn't take mom and me, so he decided to retire instead.

I feel conflicted when I watch these videos. On one hand I’m happy for girl and whole family that got reunited, on the other hand this is a US soldier who fought in another pointless US war that destroyed so many similar families- on both sides.
My Dad was in the military 20 yrs. I would never wish how we as a family had to deal with that on anyone. Many family's have to overcome. They are what is the best about America. Sympathize and respect them.
