We want to assure everyone that My Girlfriend’s Quilt Shoppe is still thriving, and we have exciting new opportunities to reach a broader audience that lies ahead of us! We look forward to new ways of selling machines online, along with unparalleled education and service through technology. We look forward to a new warehouse as well as building a brand-new event center in Logan, Utah where we can focus on both small and large events, bringing quilters together from near and far. We want to emphasize that this change is not the end of our business, but rather the beginning of an exciting new chapter! We remain committed to serving our customers and to being a leader in the quilting industry.

One of the reasons I don’t like to take classes is having to bring my sewing machine. If I lived near you, I’d love to go there. But I’ll keep in mind the online ordering.

Every time I watch this video I just cry! ❤️ I am so proud of both of you for pivoting where needed and always leading with love and concern for all! It’s amazing to look back and see how far we’ve come. I can’t believe it’s been 12 years. I know how emotional this has been, but I have full faith that this is the right direction! ❤️❤️❤️
I live in SE PA. I had been a customer prior to the pandemic. As soon as you started the virtual Kimberbell classes, I signed up. Woohoo, my first virtual class. Yes, there were some hiccups, but shortly thereafter you invested in updated technology and things improved quickly. You are correct, in that the industry and economy is shifting. I can see it locally, in that brick and mortar stores are closing, and businesses are shifting to improve their online presence. Then a business is no longer restrained by a geographical location, but can expand to the whole country or the whole globe. I wish you both the best of luck with your new endeavors, and I look forward to all that is to come.
My experience is the same as Sandi’s. MGQS is my #1 store now also. I treasure those Virtual Classes and Events. Thank you!!
I look forward to learning how to use a Serger online in the future, making my purchase through you. Not being local to learn how to use it scared me and I felt like my serger would just sit there. Thank you again!!
I live in Northern California and you are my go to shop! My stepdaughter lives in Clinton and physically visiting the Logan store has been the highlight of my visits! So, I’m happy your will continue to have both a physical and internet business! Thank you for being you!
Going to miss the Sandy Store . It had such a friendly, happy vibe. Although I am technologically challenged, I see the benefit of learning from home as I get older and its hard to lug my machine out of the basement. I think part of the secret for this new format will be to keep it affordable. There are so many classes I would like to take, and designs I would love to purchase, but find it financially impractical. So I have to shop elsewhere. Please have some learning options for those of us on a budget.

When I first saw you on a “Live,” Kris, (B.P. - “Before Pandemic”) I could feel your heart - this was not just a business; this was relationships & a community that had no geographic limits or otherwise. From a little south of the bay area, and most of our little quilt shops swallowed up by covid, discovering My Girlfriends Quilt Shoppe online was more of blessing for this lonely gal that you'll ever everrr know! Knowing that I could not only order my complete project, watch live classes but also watch at a later date changed my life. So thank you girlfriends for feeding my soul!

Congratulations, I think this new idea will be absolutely wonderful. Helping people advance in their sewing/quilting skills. Being able to teach more people at one time much larger facility. Not having to travel to you with our own machine (which are delicate and may not travel well) is a huge plus. I like this new idea very much. It is time to start a new bigger path.

Sounds like I will be coming more than just for Tugg. Sad for your employees at the stores that are closing though. I am sure they will miss working there.

Maybe you could build a bigger community if you didn’t focus on only those who are willing to sign up for facebook to watch your 3 at 3 videos. I only shop at quilt stores that don’t make me feel like a second class citizen because I won’t do facebook.
