I knew immediately that Williams was gonna be special when he played some last year. Very sad to know things happened with his bio family but his football family is behind him 100%. Truly a special moment for him that I hope can build into more each week. Salute Mr. Sackman!!

Another great production. Several awesome stories. The defense’s resolve was impressive. Also, seems they stepped the intensity with some physical practices. Hope they can carry that forward. Gifford is correct when he said next step in learning to accelerate through those tough games. Hope this bye week allows them to work out a few kinks to support their effort in this regard. GBR!

Agreed our defense has been solid for a few years now. Even under frost we had a strong defense (not as strong as it is today but still) Our offense needs to learn better halftime ajustments. We dominate the game in the first 2 quarters but it seems like this game riola took a big hit and then the game went downhill from there. he was sacked 4 times in the second half thats a o line issue. We have a strong receiving core a awesome tight end and some phenomenal backs, riola is great but he has a LOT of work to do. Everyone's eyes are on him but we need to tighten up our line to give him more time and he needs to read the rush to tell when to scramble or just throw it away he struggled last game reading that rush.
Agree. Fickell has them looking like a B12 team now. No D, but who needs it, just keep scoring. That's not good for us with an offense that can't play through a full game. We will still play tough against Iowa and grind them down. It will come down to special teams. With no kicking game it will be scary. I think ultimately that is what screwed us. We started changing from the Big 8 model, which was more like the Big 10, into the Big 12 model before leaving for the Big 10, and it cost us dearly for a decade. If we are staying in the Big 10 we need to complete the change back. We are closer than ever right now.
Agreed, you can’t ask for much more on offense, we just need the blockers to come out and start opening some holes up for Dowdell and start giving Raiola some time to actually hit an open receiver
@@ethansellner5451exactly, it’s like they feel like the have the game over in the 1st half, causing them to relax in the second and take the foot off the gas, we just need to keep hitting the gas and accelerating instead of getting comfortable
@upruss7764 Yeah, just finishing the game is a bad thing to say. You need to put your foot on their throat. We aren't the team in 1997 where we get 4 yards a play and run the ball like that. Our quarterback is stronger in other areas. Our backs and receivers need to practice hard. Our line needs some work, and dillion needs better pocket awareness. He can throw the ball. We don't need him to improve on that he's proven he can throw. We need to protect the rush better and dillion needs to read the pocket. I think if he does that, not only will he get some yards on his feet, his compleation rate will improve, and we'll see some better yardage.

WIth the defense we have wisconsion and iowa wont be a problem Raiola should focus on his pocket awareness and decision-making under pressure. Improving his ability to handle defensive schemes like Rutgers’ and making quicker reads will be key. If we can do that and tighten up our offensive line a bit i think we will have a phenomenal offense
