Good morning,
I made this pattern and the video was very helpful. Thank you. Of course I used a different fabric than what was suggested. I used stretchy stretchy sports material….inexpensive to say the least. But I completed entire outfit. Next time I will use linen😊
Hello Mimi,
I made this outfit again. I used a woven camouflaged fabric. Let’s just say I did the d^}^} thing. I love it all over again. The first make was ok but I cut a 26 instead of a 20. This time I used the measurement guide to select my size. I love love love it. I will make this pattern again but close in the sleeves for the spring and winter.
Good morning, you're my favorite fan. Just love your sew long videos. By the way, are you still making shoes? Love all your videos. A big hug from Isabela Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
Hi Mimi, what was the little gadget you had to thread the drawstring into your pants please. Thanks.
The gusset stitch makes no sense. I cannot inderstand what she does. I mist be missing something
Wow - that's some sloppy work for an official Simplicity sewing video. I'm disappointed in the talent and technique of this person.
Hi SewSweet Bear - I am sorry to see you feel that way. I have always felt the Mimi G helps sewers have the confidence to try new techniques or styles and makes it feel doable. She carefully marks and pins her pieces and emphasizes pressing and directional sewing. She uses many modern techniques that help sewing go more quickly, so it is definitely not couture - but it doesn't always need to be. I enjoy watching her videos and feel inspired to try her styles. Though drop crotch pants would not be my choice - lots of younger or more daring sewists will love them.
