- Here's our performance of Arvo Pärt's Nunc Dimittis at Sofia church, Stockholm on June 12th 2014.

We in Sofia Vokalensemble attended the 10th World Symposium on Choral Music in Seoul, South Korea during August 2014. Pärt's beautiful piece was one of the many we performed in South Korea.

Nunc dimittis servum tuum Domine secundum verbum tuum in pace
quia viderunt oculi mei salutare tuum
quod parasti ante faciem omnium populorum
lumen ad revelationem gentium et gloriam plebis tuae Israhel
Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;
A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

The Estonian composer Arvo Pärt is known for his minimalistic and beautiful compositions. Here's a video from our summer concert in June when we performed his almost meditative piece, Nunc Dimittis.
The next time we get to perform this piece is in Seoul, South Korea!

Absolutely astounding. Your choir is getting every nuance and ounce of restrained and unrestrained passion from Arvo's piece. Bless you and the great man for this. When is the Ensemble coming to London? my wife and I had Arvo's Lamentate as one of our introduction pieces at our Wedding last year, after 35 years, ..we would love to see you perform the piece.
