You could be my savior when I'm in need of another one I could be your bait when you will hide from what you're running from I was medicated but I ended up where I was I was beautiful I was yet to be someone I know they won't let me in They don't wear my skin I know that the pieces fit I know what you meant Lay me down where you are or where you want to be There's a quiet breeze and it sings for me I was giving way for all of the stories I have chose to waste The bells rang out when you were carried out to keep the pace I was barricaded I was choking up from my restraints I was elegant I was yet to deviate I know they won't let me in They don't wear my skin I know where the fragments fit I know what you meant Lay me out on the floor Show off your display There's a lineament and it fills the walls Lay me out where you are, where I need to be There's a quiet breeze and it sings for me A ring of chain takes place of me But where am I?
Huge relate. I was 16 when this was released though I didn’t hate it; I wasn’t really “Wowed” either. Coming back now that i’m 23 I have a whole new perspective on the album and damn, it’s so damn good
Honestly i probably love youth more than this album. But really listening to more of their songs other than the first two released opened my eyes and im very appreciative of some of the songs on this album i mean theyre beautiful. Therefore citizen just never gets old theyre too important
I like youth better too. It's very sentimental to me it has been one of my most listened to albums the last few years. I've probably heard it hundreds of times. I love everybody is going to happen there are so many amazing songs, but youth still beats it.
This album disappointed me cause it is really diffrent from Youth, and I was totally in love with Youth. But after 2 or 3 listening, I accepted the fact that their song has changed, and realise that this record is trully awesome. Like, REALLY awesome !
+Dédé L'Aiguille this is how i felt about it when i first heard it over the summer, but then the second time i listened to it i completely fell in the love with the album.
Ik this is late, but I think it means that the speaker’s pain has taken control of their body and mind. so while they still might be able to function cognitively and physically, it’s not what they want. they might be inflicting self harm or be diving into bad habits against their will. so this identity that doesn’t want to self-destruct has pretty much disappeared, leaving the speaker to ask where they truly are.
Renato Ferreira really? i felt youth was great but very simple lots of powerchords etc. As a guitarist i could figure out how to play almost all the songs on youth but only a few on this new album, its much more intricate instrumentally and the lyrics are also more intricate for example this song is better lyrically than any on youth ''Lay me out on the floor Show off your display There's a lineament and it fills the walls Lay me out where you are, where I need to be There's a quiet breeze and it sings for me'
To me this album blends in to a group of other albums that sound similar or like it. It's trendy for a band to make a sound like this. It blatantly rips the most simple bits of the 90's grunge buzz, but sadly not in a cool Soundgarden way. More of a lame Nirvana way. This sound isn't fresh or new. It's just nostalgic. That being said this is like a 5 or 6/10 imo. Probably won't play a single song from this again.
cortizone121 every band rips off something. If you dont like it thats cool but thats your opinion. its a 9/10 for me and their pop punk stuff was way more generic .Ring of chain is easily the best song theyve ever written ive listened to it atleast 50 times in the last few days.
Citizen's new album 'As You Please' is out 10/6. Listen to "Jet", the first song on the album right here. ruclips.net/video/RqIByGY5Ziw/видео.html
What a coincidence...10/6 is also the rating I gave the album!
This must be in Citizen's top 3 songs. Perfect closing to this album.
This is Citizen's best song hands down omg
debatably best song on album.
Co0pAnimations agreed, i've been jamming to this one for weeks
December 2022 still absolutely adore this song
Nothing like getting stoned putting on Citizen and just crying and vibing at the same time.
The transitions at 2:28 and 2:54 are so flawless.
This one makes me feel a combination hope and regret, a weird feeling on my heart
You could be my savior when I'm in need of another one
I could be your bait when you will hide from what you're running from
I was medicated but I ended up where I was
I was beautiful
I was yet to be someone
I know they won't let me in
They don't wear my skin
I know that the pieces fit
I know what you meant
Lay me down where you are or where you want to be
There's a quiet breeze and it sings for me
I was giving way for all of the stories I have chose to waste
The bells rang out when you were carried out to keep the pace
I was barricaded
I was choking up from my restraints
I was elegant
I was yet to deviate
I know they won't let me in
They don't wear my skin
I know where the fragments fit
I know what you meant
Lay me out on the floor
Show off your display
There's a lineament and it fills the walls
Lay me out where you are, where I need to be
There's a quiet breeze and it sings for me
A ring of chain takes place of me
But where am I?
elwoodrock182 meaning?
Damn. I didn't really understand this album when it came out. I was 18 years old. Now i'm 22 and holy shit this album is amazing.

@@banker1020 so much relate. So much. I was the same age as you and just I don't know how to explain the way I feel now
And now you're 26
THEY WONT LET ME IN.
THEY DONT WEAR MY SKIIIINNNN.
SO SO SO GOOD.
Can't help but think the album sounds like Citizen meets Deftones and Brand New and that is a beautiful thing
Holy shit that's spot on
I was thinking the same since they released the single "Silo" i was like "Shiiiiiiiiiiiit this is so Deftones" hahaha
Ihis is the most flawless, well put together album I've ever listened to. All time favorite, it made my year.
I seriously want to cry... I love this so much.
I was a little iffy with Cement, but this whole album has me stunned now...

where you are, where you wanna be. there's a quiet breeze, and it sings for me.
This album means so much to me. I haven't listened to it in awhile... time to change that.
so fucking good i find myself returning to this song every time. so underrated.

Honestly, my buddy fred showed me citizen a couple months ago. Some of their shit is just to relatable for me to not over play. I love these guys.
I got prejudiced with the first track...but it turns that this album is truely amazing !

There is many different opinions about the album but I personally love it. I haven't stopped listening to the album ever since it came out.

amazing!!!!!!!!!
I was kinda interested to see if they'd pursue that hardcore sound they had with the single. Oh well. Still jams!
WOW this is good
chord progression reminds me of sunbather lol
Anyone have any speculation on what the lyric "a ring of chain takes place of me, but where am I?" Means?
But where am i

@@xnosmokenoknivesx bro u got an intelligent mind fosho
Youth is still my favorite but I'm overly in love with this track.
Sadly I couldn't get myself into As You Please and I was so excited about it :/
Yes about Youth !!
The fucking drums on this is on point
yeah i was giving way for all of the stories i have chose to waste
I'm glad this is not so different to youth
I think Yall put this on RUclips too early, should've waited after release but whatever they still rock
RADICALskips The album already leaked before these videos were uploaded
The only bad part of this song is that it ends
1000th like nice
All the emo bands I grew up with got better and I didn’t
2019 still don't know where I am
MAT FUCKING NOTICE ME
Satan senpai Satan noticed
hahah Ikr
Hote ok
Am I the only one that disliked this album?
***** I tried lol.. Didn't work yet.. It's too nirvana to me.
***** yes me either! Just feels like a different band... Youth is so much more talent and passion

a great song on a mediocre album.
