my uncle currently owns the Original Jeepers Creepers van. it is currently located in SE Louisiana. The person that had it before was living in a suburb in Florida. i always thought the Creeper was an ancient Necromancer during his feeding time he was looking for suitable parts to replace the ones he had worn out ..grafting animal parts for power and abilities
I thought the Creeper was the creature on the human parts back, the claw that engulfs the head, spine, tail and has wings. Like an alien or creature that is parasitic with humans.
Yes definitely not some dumb monster, especially in the end scene of the first movie ,much more relaxed, calculated,...More of the crystallization of the reptilian logos...

The space Alien theory isn't very plausible for me since the comic revealed the Creeper to have existed in times that predate colonialism. The Creeper and IT monster have a better connection and is a more plausible due to its thematic similarities even though it is very unlikely of it narratively being connected since neither Stephen King or Salva have ever worked together. The Wendigo makes the most sense since the Creeper has a western aesthetic he could be a byproduct of a curse. This is the best fan theory.
Dude I’m not even gonna act like that wouldn’t have been the craziest shit of all time. Like it could be super subtle like just a carving of him in the Aztec city and I’d lose my mind
I always just believed he was some kind of ancient demon, but knowing what I know now, the dark reflection, while most disturbing in terms of real life, is the one that makes the most sense.
First time watching Jeepers Creepers at age 15. I was scared to death. For almost 4 months I had bad sleep. I always thought after singing the song "jeepers creepers, where'd you get those peepers, jeepers creepers.. where'd you get those eyes?" I hated that song and still sing it in my head .. everytime I song it in my head I was scared. I don't remember what age i got over that fear.. am 26 now
I had heard about the parasite theory before, and liked it. The actual spider like thing being the actual creeper which just attaches itself to a host making it look like grotesque creature. The name is also similer to creeper in plants that attaches itself to tree and suck nutrients out of it. This is why it can remain alive even after the head is gone.
Does not explain how his truck and weapons respond to his will or how his flesh is linked directly to him and gives a psychic trace of his past. I can tell you that is not a parasite.
There's going to be a new one?! Oh hell yeah! I love these movies. My mom also loved the first two and watched them multiple times (a rarity for her). She passed away before the third movie released. I wish she could see them.
@@da_ocsta1452 I actually liked the 3rd even though it was a bit cheesy. I felt it tied together the movie quite nicely. Clell Biggs, sorry about your mom ❤️
In the Cathedral script The Creeper thought to be a phoenix demon who would get stronger by been burned. Trish and many others band together with even rocket launchers to take down the creeper. Taggart gets to realise that the body he has hanging is an empty shell with dust and the creeper has already left the barn unbeknownst. A priest comes with the idea of burning it along with others but is after advised they are playing into the creepers hand. Burning it will make it stronger. Creeper tries to take Darry Trish's son but Trish saves him getting killed by sacrificing herself. The Cathedral lair is discovered and in the end the creeper gets blown up by a C4 explosion!
That makes more sense over the others. It explains why fire does not work against it. It explains why it has lived for so long, in ancient times. It explains why the Aztecs thought it would be a god. That explains a demon for you.
@@cainabel6356 Yes this script would have been ideal and great to see on screen. Too bad Salvas past came back to haunt him. Irony. Just like the Creeper comes back to haunt many every 23rd spring. I see part 4 comes out November. It has a final release date now.
I still watch each of these movies any time it comes on one of my premium channels. I live for good horror. War movies, westerns and horror, but mostly horror. Hate romcoms, and lame comedy. I like being scared, but hard to find good scares these days (unless I'm checking my account balance -now that's scary.)
The first film was great with the built tension, the mystery surrounding the identity of the entity. When the creature was revealed it became farcical and like hammer horror. Maybe that was the idea but mystery and suspense in a horror will always have more impact than when you actually know what you are dealing with.
The Wendigo scene with the man changing is from Sleepy Hollow (S2E6). It's a pretty good show. That second one with cool Shamanic Wendigo is from a RUclips short movie. I think The Legend of the Wendigo. It's...decent for a short film. The Wendigo is probably the best part.
Yeah I went through the directors cut and seen the scene you mentioned " she doesn't smell to good" lol had a bayou type accent...definitely glad it was a deleted scene... the creeper screams are more valid...and goes with the character
I loved the 2nd one because it was a revenge flick. The father wanted revenge for the Creeper killing his son. It is also my favorite. I did really enjoy the first one . But I hope we get a finale movie. I want the survivors to get their revenge on The Creeper.
The 1st definitely is a lot more horrifying, the second one is a lit better at displaying what an attack by the creeper is like. But I think we can all agree that the 3rd one was hot garbage.
@@Luke_______ I don't know anything about this new director, but if what you say is true, then it's a freaking shame that they're treating this character this way. I love the creeper a lot. It's a great, cool, scary and creepy character with a great story behind it and they're just killing him before our very eyes. The Creeper deserves better.
How the Creeper got the truck in JC1 really bugged me, given he is only active for 23 days every 23 years. And at the end of JC2, why the hell didn't the farmer try to destroy the Creeper's body - burn it or dissolve it in acid, and if that was 23 years after the rest of the movie, wouldn't there just be a few little futuristic touches?
0:50 the 2nd one actually took place right after the 3rd one ended, because in the end the guy gets on the school bus, which leads to jeepers creepers 2
Could have been a separate gimick. But the truck clearly responds to the creeper. Why do you think that is...? Do you really want to think about it that hard. He makes throwing stars out of people and part of himself. Why not a truck too?
Okay, this kinda expains it. I feel horrible for saying this, but, in the first film, I thought he chose the brother's eyes, cuz the sister's eyes were a bit crossed, so he passed on it.
I always assumed the Creeper took the parts of (mainly) males to match his anatomy. In the first movie when Darry sees the old high school couple plastered on the wall, it is evident that the Creeper has feasted upon women before. That, and there were also numerous corpses of males _and females_ on the walls as well.
What there's a fourth movie!? Wow the more you know. But I hope the fourth movie will give us more lore on the Creeper, it's so interesting that we get close to know what he is but yet we never get it
I remember this franchise perfectly well because it was my favorite franchise growing up. I remember watching the first movie in pure terror at like 8 years old. I would have nightmares of being chased by him all around my city at least once a month and it would feel so real and horrifying. I literally had a dream i witnessed him come out of his hibernation in a tunnel full of mashed bodies and running while he stalked me and flew, it was amazing. But the directors seriously ruined everything with JC3. One of the Corniest movie i have ever seen, it was sad watching it.
This was one of the most well thought out villans in a horror movie! This "monsters" aka demon absolutely terrified me! The first one was the scariest, but I did love the 2nd movie because that man was not afraid! He subdued the creature; even if for a temporary victory!
When I was young my mom and father got me this movie and I had the frist one and second one and I was afraid to watch it but then it reminded me of The Undertaker and how were I at Warriors are Born so I love it. But it still scary.
The Pennywise theory was REALLY just stupid. Aside from the writer's having no connection, personally or literary wise, there are dozens of old lores about demons preying on the fear of children. Also, Freddy Krueger anyone?
I am a true lover of the horror genre. I rarely get truly scared or scarred due to movies such as these however, this movie frightened me severely. Like I was freaked so bad I didn't want to go outside to our barn in the dark for fear he would smell my fear. I was a 23 yr old when this came out. Grown for crying out loud! I would hear Jeepers Creepers where'd you get those peepers by Siouxsie and the Banshees in the back of my mind and freak the freak out. 😜 These movies still creep me way out. Truly a fantastic franchise IMHO
I completely agree, I watched the 1st film when I was about 11 with my mum and cried like a baby 😂.. I'm 29 now and he still pops up in my nightmares for godsake 😭
IMO All we need to know about the Creeper is what we already know. Its scarier to not know exactly what he is and why. Hes scary totally badass and eats people . That is more than enough info.
For the pennywise and creeper theory. it's been hinted that in the dark tower, the being called "dandelo" is possibly the offspring of pennywise or atleast related to him.
It's dandelo not dandelion. Also dandelo IS pennywise . Same character in a different world of Kings multiverse. The Creeper being related to pennywise is a totally retarded idea as the creeper is not a King creation.🖕
I love the look of this creature and these films. I just want to know who taught him to drive. The 'not really used' illustrations of his longevity is great and I would love to see him show up and wipe out Conquistadors (which has shown up in a production illustration) Had no idea about a comic, THANK YOU! and looks like I was in the right universe here. Aztec and Mayan mythology is honestly an unexplored goldmine of horror demons and gods, and would be great to see more "Americas"-based monsters. The Roan Oak Colony link is genius. I also really love the Truck. It's got that George Miller Non-Destructo Vibe that sort of makes it it's own character. So glad to know I'm not the only Creeper fan! Reminds me so much as an homage to the TV film "Gargoyles" (yeah, I'm your mom) which is also very overlooked, features a young Scott Glenn, and GREAT early creature make up from Stan Winston. Bernie Casey as the Head Gargoyle is fantastic and I see the subtle nods in the Creeper.
I’m gonna be honest, I saw this movie when it first came out and I didn’t think it was going to be scary at all...I was wrong. When I saw all those bodies stitched together after Derry fell in that drainage pipe thing I had an out of body experience, and then the scene where he takes the head off the policeman and proceeds to eat the tongue..🙅🏾♀️ And then the creeper licking the interrogation window/mirror while Derry and Trish are on the other side and don’t know he’s there😰 And finally..the creeper bursting through the window/mirror and taking Derry back to his place, and hearing Derry’s screams (I think) and seeing his eyeless body and then the creeper with his eyes 😱 I could not sleep that night, I ended up sleeping in my sister’s room for over a week that’s how bad it affected me lol.
my Ancestors told me this movie was really based on a curse put upon settlers by a native american shaman and the movie is based on the mothman of west virginia
My question is when did he have time to make that suped up truck? He's only awake every 2 decades, and isn't awake very long, so how did he get his truck?
I came across an old book in my grandfathers book collect about night creatures. The creeper closely resembles a type of gargoyle known as a windallar....don't know if I spelled that right..
For anyone interested one of the newest theories regarding the Roanoke colony is that they simply joined the Croatoan tribe that they where friendly with.

my uncle currently owns the Original Jeepers Creepers van. it is currently located in SE Louisiana. The person that had it before was living in a suburb in Florida. His neighbors didn't appreciate a creepy van sitting in plain view and I think he was going through something at the time so he needed money. He then sold it to my uncle and in Louisiana it resides. (either that or someone sold him an identical van that it was based off of)
i always thought the Creeper was an ancient Necromancer during his feeding time he was looking for suitable parts to replace the ones he had worn out ..grafting animal parts for power and abilities

@@stevenaguilera9202 yes. People use the fallen angel for themselves. A good person who ended up doing bad things in their lives. I however really never thought of myself as a good person(poor self-esteem as kid),but someone who tries.

"Who is the Creeper in the Jeepers Creepers films?" Oh, that's an easy one: The real creeper is the creator of the franchise: Victor Salva.
I learned to do this crazy thing. I can separate the ART from the ARTIST, and enjoy it without being a PC baby. Try it.
@@scratchd0g Okay, edgelord.🙄 Not wanting to continue to financially support a pedophile is not being PC. Also, it's a cheesy horror movie, not a fucking Picasso. I would hardly consider this "art"

Omg I had no idea about this until I seen your comment and looked it up why is that sick fuck even allowed to make movies why do they show his movies? I wont ever be watching jeepers creepers again.
😬 😳 yikes
I feel like the Creeper was a human who made a deal with the devil for immortality, however he was tricked not knowing he had to feed to maintain it's body...🤔
Ooooh, I like that one
The space Alien theory isn't very plausible for me since the comic revealed the Creeper to have existed in times that predate colonialism.
The Creeper and IT monster have a better connection and is a more plausible due to its thematic similarities even though it is very unlikely of it narratively being connected since neither Stephen King or Salva have ever worked together.
The Wendigo makes the most sense since the Creeper has a western aesthetic he could be a byproduct of a curse. This is the best fan theory.
Yes I agree the creeper and IT have a great connection
You do get that Pennywise was an alien eldrich being. Also what does colonialism have to do with it?
Imagine Apocalypto/Jeepers Creepers crossover where they worship and fear the Creeper
That'd be so cool

I so very much hate the alien theory. It is just so generic and uninteresting.
@@jamiebraswell5520 yeah there's that.
Does not explain how his truck and weapons respond to his will or how his flesh is linked directly to him and gives a psychic trace of his past. I can tell you that is not a parasite.
The clues are all over his weapons . Find pics of the spear from JC3 and he is showing a big clue there.

How the hell do you know that
I am really glad that someone just googled cathedral scripts like me rather than this theories.
"2 good man and a one brave woman took it down"
That makes more sense over the others.
Leaves it open too...if someone finds the husk and burns it Creeper could come back again!!
Praise you honorable hero of the comments section
I was looking for this exact comment. I thought that scene was pretty dope.
Creeper actually talked in the first movie but the scene was cut.
I’m glad it was cut out of the movie. I don’t think there’s any voice that can do him justice. He’s so much more mysterious not speaking
Yeah and the comics he talks, maybe in the new trilogy he will
That screech hes got says enough 😳
"She don't smell too good, Darius." Referring to the cat lady.
The creeper is capable of talking. Especially if he consumes your tongue , he’ll have your accent
That would of happened in the first film when he ate the officers tongue but he never spoke
@@angryjohnnyt360 he did in the deleted scene
Yeah I went through the directors cut and seen the scene you mentioned " she doesn't smell to good" lol had a bayou type accent...definitely glad it was a deleted scene... the creeper screams are more valid...and goes with the character
Tbh I always thought the creeper never preyed on females because men were more muscular, durable, and overall more fulfilling than a woman.
I loved the 2nd one because it was a revenge flick. The father wanted revenge for the Creeper killing his son. It is also my favorite. I did really enjoy the first one . But I hope we get a finale movie. I want the survivors to get their revenge on The Creeper.
Whoever says that the second installment is better than the original, should be committed immediately and never let out.

The 1st definitely is a lot more horrifying, the second one is a lit better at displaying what an attack by the creeper is like. But I think we can all agree that the 3rd one was hot garbage.

I don't know anything about this new director, but if what you say is true, then it's a freaking shame that they're treating this character this way.
Victor Salva is the creeper! He's the creeper with all his films!
Exactly! Thank you!
Victor Salva is a disgusting human being and no one should watch his movies.
Boycot his films, always...i wish him and the likes, the worst!
Glad to see this written
The guy's movies are an excuse to play out his fantasies. Just look at Powder and the rest of his films.

They need to drop some serious money on a really proper movie. And leave race gender and politics out of it.
0:50 the 2nd one actually took place right after the 3rd one ended, because in the end the guy gets on the school bus, which leads to jeepers creepers 2
I understand the Creeper, but his truck totally throws me.
He likes being a mechanic in his down time
His blood is in the truck. The truck is sort of possessed by him. At least that is my understanding of the truck.
@@cambuxton6835 does it say that anywhere?
It’s almost like the truck was a separate gimmick created post-facto.
Could have been a separate gimick. But the truck clearly responds to the creeper. Why do you think that is...? Do you really want to think about it that hard. He makes throwing stars out of people and part of himself. Why not a truck too?
Now just imagine if he used these skills and attributes in a positive way- Guidance Counselor to Creepers parents
Okay, this kinda expains it. I feel horrible for saying this, but, in the first film, I thought he chose the brother's eyes, cuz the sister's eyes were a bit crossed, so he passed on it.

The first movie will forever be scary to me ... the second one jus adds to it . But I wasn’t really feelin the last one 🤷🏽♀️
Very few women though. He clearly prefers males for obvious reasons. He is a male himself.
@@DragonQueen78 being a male, I wouldn't want female body parts added.
Exactly :)
Imagine a female creeper
Imagine the Creeper going into the MVD, requesting a personalized vanity plate.

What there's a fourth movie!? Wow the more you know. But I hope the fourth movie will give us more lore on the Creeper, it's so interesting that we get close to know what he is but yet we never get it
The original script for the third movie did explain what it was. It’s a Poho Demon and behaves like a phoenix. If you burn it, it comes back stronger.
So there will be a fourth installment, hopefully it Will be better than the third because the third was straight Garbage 🤢
It's a reboot
Not really I kinda like the third one.
@@MrGrimjaw I think it’s a soft reboot

I remember this franchise perfectly well because it was my favorite franchise growing up. I remember watching the first movie in pure terror at like 8 years old. I would have nightmares of being chased by him all around my city at least once a month and it would feel so real and horrifying. I literally had a dream i witnessed him come out of his hibernation in a tunnel full of mashed bodies and running while he stalked me and flew, it was amazing. But the directors seriously ruined everything with JC3. One of the Corniest movie i have ever seen, it was sad watching it.
Batman would scare the hell outta The Creeper.
That means it could also be related to Marry Poppins.🧐🧐

This was one of the most well thought out villans in a horror movie! This "monsters" aka demon absolutely terrified me! The first one was the scariest, but I did love the 2nd movie because that man was not afraid! He subdued the creature; even if for a temporary victory!
When I was young my mom and father got me this movie and I had the frist one and second one and I was afraid to watch it but then it reminded me of The Undertaker and how were I at Warriors are Born so I love it. But it still scary.
Nothing scared me more then the very first jeeper creepers 👌🏾Awesome
The Pennywise theory was REALLY just stupid.
Aside from the writer's having no connection, personally or literary wise, there are dozens of old lores about demons preying on the fear of children.
Also, Freddy Krueger anyone?
Jason Voorhes and The Undertaker.
I never considered him to be "green"
I'm 29 now and he still pops up in my nightmares for godsake 😭
just imagine how I feel at 5 years old...i think this movie gave me a subconscious fear about school buses

That’s the name of one of the demons in the Ars Gotea
It's dandelo not dandelion. Also dandelo IS pennywise . Same character in a different world of Kings multiverse. The Creeper being related to pennywise is a totally retarded idea as the creeper is not a King creation.🖕
The Creeper Vs Hellraiser or Wishmaster would be insanely satisfying on many levels🤔

The Creeper is a representation of the Jesuit Order.
I’m gonna be honest, I saw this movie when it first came out and I didn’t think it was going to be scary at all...I was wrong.
When I saw all those bodies stitched together after Derry fell in that drainage pipe thing I had an out of body experience, and then the scene where he takes the head off the policeman and proceeds to eat the tongue..🙅🏾♀️
And then the creeper licking the interrogation window/mirror while Derry and Trish are on the other side and don’t know he’s there😰
And finally..the creeper bursting through the window/mirror and taking Derry back to his place, and hearing Derry’s screams (I think) and seeing his eyeless body and then the creeper with his eyes 😱
