I really feel the realtionship the two have with one another is love. Unadulterated love, without titles like lovers, family, friends, and so on. Just like how Shorekeeper never addresses Rover by her titles, but by her true name.
A lot of people immediately jump into the "waifu" bait conclusion because they failed to see the depth of it. They only understood surface level of the story like the romance part. A lot has been revealed in 1.3 and we were given hints of the next region. It answered most of our questions from 1.0-1.1 and maybe left some unanswered saved for later, but you cant squeeze in a lot of lore info into 1 chapter. The romantic lines, altho a bit cheesy, is what makes shorekeeper exactly non-human, she cant filter her emotions because she is realizing most of them just now when Rover returned or when she finally decided to sacrifice herself. I enjoyed watching your playthrough, thank you for uploading.
Exactlly, the main reason i think lot of people missed the whole plot is because we play through Rover sight, but Rover has no memories, so we get most of the back story through fragments (dialogues, documents, flashbacks, scenary, etc...) which can end up confusing for lot of people if they dont pay attention, thats why i highly recommend to the people that didnt fully understand the story read Shorekeeper profiles stories, as it tells lot of things from her perspective and also give clear answers of who create her, how rover lost his memory, etc....

The "my Shorekeeper" line that everyone is bashing on as waifu bait is actually what caused it all to click for me. Seeing Shorekeeper's reaction opened my mind to understand that the depth of the story is from HER perspective, not the Rover's.

Please just take what they say with a grain of salt when going through the story, or it might end up really confusing you. I apologize if this comes across as a bit "bossy" but if they keep saying that, when the story progresses more there will so a ton of plot holes due to what they said. Good stories shouldn't be confusing.

People were saying 15% CR, which is wrong.... and 30% CD WHICH IS ALSO WRONG! I'm wondering if some of them even know how to read. They also somehow were arguing about Jue's origin with wild theories that didn't even have a single line in the game that would support the claim... Even by the end of the patch they still couldn't understand what being Shorekeeper was, despite it stating it in the first 3 lines of her character trailer... It was painful to read.

that part at 23:50 or something, idk if noticed or na but the moment you get up with the elevator and before the stairs, the OST seems to lower in volume and repeat a melody over and over until you actually stepped onto the stairs will the OST continue but now with vocals on it.
as a well known man once said : "it's a terrible day for rain" Also damn I love the music of the boss fight, the part with what i've been thinking as the leitmotiv for the shorekeeper gives me goosebumps. as I played it myself a few days ago I remember going to spam the boss just to hear that music again.
I think the storytelling for shorekeeper is good, people will call it yapfest if they add more dialogue 🤣 But for the lore itself is kinda a bit bad. Again if kuro make detailed and longer text, people will complain about yapfest 🤣 I also hope that chat won't make you confuse again in the next patches if you wanna go back to check that version in the future 💞

I agree with you, but also maybe because i *am* older and *am* not buying much into shipping every character together (although I am guilty of shipping some characters without much reason too LOL). For me SK and Rover's relationship is much like master and devout follower type of thing? Where the master cares about their followers, and the followers revere and respect the master. And there's also camaraderie. Similar to Xiao and Zhongli relationship, I guess...? Or in a more modern-ish setting, similar to Mustang and Hawkeye in Fullmetal Alchemist...? Also because of this I kinda dislike the "my star" localization thing. But eh, it is what it is
