Oh, My condolences Mr.Brown. I was reminiscing about XICF and I came across this news. I was a medical student back in 2013 and I remember her warmest greetings whenever we met in church. I still remember her encouraging words whenever we had a chat abt the exams during my uni days. It was such a blessing to have known her. This is really shocking to me. My prayers are with you all.
Thanks so much. It was quite a shock. Only 1 month before, she said she finally agreed with me--that she felt we would stay in China the rest of our days. Never imagined that 4 weeks later, she'd be gone. She was healthier than she'd been in 20 years--but obviously her work was done. Looking forward to seeing her again.
thank you for your great service, towards xiamen. Prof. Phang.. I always chase your news, even though I was not born in Xiamen, but my great-grandfather came from Xiamen, during World War 2 with Japan, my great-grandfather fled to Indonesia and my grandfather was born and my father was born. I was born in Indonesia hehehe.. your service is very big for minland or fujian people.. i as a descendant will always be pleased with your service, be patient.. your beloved wife is with god jesus christ.. let me share my faith . amen.. my prayers for you, and peace for you and your family. from chinese indonesia
Thank you for showing me the growth of two beautiful souls on planet earth. I highly respect Professor Brown and loves his books. Your book also moved me and opened my eyes to China we hardly know about from overseas. Thank you Professor Brown. God bless you and your family. James from Australia.
Mrs Brown was such a wonderful person. Growing up in XICF, she was like an extra aunt. I always felt safe around her. Such an honour to have known such a fine and loving person, and so strange and sad that she's not with us anymore. My deepest condolences to you, Mr Brown. Many thanks to you also for being a good role model for me growing up. I always enjoyed coming to the same church as you, and I've always admired and respected you for being you. Together, you and Mrs Brown were also role models in the way you loved each other and loved the ones around you. My prayer for you and your family.
Bill, I just subscribed to your channel. You and your wife had a special bond to leave the comforts of life in the USA and start a new life in China with a young family. Your loss of your beautiful wife is shared by all who know her. May you continue to have a long and fulfilling life in China. God bless you.
My deepest condolences to you @Billbrown, for the loss of your wife. Both of you represent the best of humanity 🙏🙏🙏💐💐💐 I have only discovered your channel a few months ago and have been deeply moved and impressed with your devotion to each other and to China. I, too have been trying hard to counter the anti China rhetoric that’s so prevalent now in the Western world. Sharing whatever I can (such as your videos and of others living in China). God bless 🙏🙏🙏
For a week, the Everly Brothers song "All I have to do is dream" has been going through my mind. I've not slept well at night, but I'm not really sure I'm awake by day either. Forty years flew so quickly, truly like a dream. Can't wait to see her again
What a beautiful life she led! I cried during the tribute. I wish I had met her. God bless the family as they remember and honor this wonderful lady of God!
Dear William Sir,tonight I just come across yours RUclips ,about yours Live in China, then I saw yours holiday with your wife in Liljiang, how you two are so happy looking around the place and enjoying. Then the next video I come across is the tribute to yours wife,I was so shocked that she is in another world,I am so sorry about yours lost,my condolences to you N family!!Thankyou for your view on China, and what the opposite view,we have here in Europe. Thanks again.
Thanks so much. Even after two weeks, it's hard for me to grasp that my best friend of 40 years has left this life. Those 40 years went so fast. I wish I'd had 80 or 100 with her--but forever grateful to my Father for the 40 that I did have.
Beautiful - so many precious memories! I can tell that there is a story behind each photo that would be fascinating to know. What a special way for you to continue to treasure the life you spent together. Thanks for sharing this, since we couldn't really see it well during the zoom service.
