Hi Jamie - good to see you unboxing another Rory collection - Rory's nephew, Daniel, has done a fine job putting this together from that '77 UK tour - I was in attendance at The Hammersmith Odeon gig & ''Jack-Knife Beat'' was one that he didn't play that often live . . . I think it's the outstanding track on this album personally. If you're looking for other stuff by Rory - 'The BBC Sessions' & 'Irish Tour '74' are certainly ones I would recommend & can be found easily enough on Ebay or Amazon or wherever . . . Rory fans; I highly recommend this New York '74 concert, here on RUclips. It is incendiary. ruclips.net/video/vGVmo86bFQU/видео.html. When I first heard it a year ago I knew something was afoot. Google the show to read the accounts of Rory driving the crowd wild in Central Park, and the fate of Aerosmith trying to follow him. I piped the audio into my DAW, pumped up the bass and a few other frequencies and haven't stopped listening to it. The account of the promoter trying to get Rory to end the show is revealing as you hear the band play chorus after chorus of Bullfrog Blues, and then conclude with a one minute plus crescendo. Rory's guitar tone throughout, especially on the rare slow blues Early In The Morning is incredible.
