Even after a month of S2 being out, I still can’t believe that they are finally out after everything they have been through I am beyond proud of the both of them! We definitely need a S3 because there’s too many questions that needs to be answered ❤️
bro willes character development this season was so good😭 my jaw was on the floor in the last scene ive never been so proud of a character in my life THE GROWTH.
Edvin said in an interview: "That (final) look is saying: I'm in control. This is me. I am queer. I'm in love with this guy and I'm prepared to face whatever is coming next. It's a very "let's start a revolution" kind of moment. In my mind Wilhelm wants nothing more than being able to face this things with Simon... I guess the big question is: can Wilhelm and Simon handle that together?" ♥♥♥ Season 3! Now!
15:20 Simon just accepted it being a secret because Wilhelm promised it would only be 2 years this situation. In the first season he believed that it would be the situation forever if they made their relationship official. When he saw Wilhelm fighting to get back with him, protecting him, discovering that it was Sara who warned August, some trigger activated and he realized that it was worth waiting those 2 years.
I feel that's a very specific situation. It's not that Wille don't want to make them public, he was led to think he can't. All the sessions with the therapist show us that. And little by little he starts to realize he can make that choice. He starts to get in touch with his own feelings. It's his life and he won't let the guy he is in love with be in the shadows anymore. He wants to be with Simon as much Simon wants to be with him and them both sacrifice something to be together. ♥
Agreed. It's not that he thought it would be great, or that he wanted it, but we saw him trying to move on from Wille and failing miserably. Plus, now there's a time limit. Not to mention their relationship developed more and he's certain of Wille's affections too. He knows none of this is ideal, but he'll take it - for now.
No cause the entire season I was like "Sarah how are you hooking up with the man who did that to your brother" and she kept it a secret that August was the one who uploaded it for like a whole semester or smthg (?). It was so heartbreaking to see Simon find out and feel so betrayed. I can't even imagine how he felt in that moment. Also omg I was so happy when Wille gave the speech because August literally was never punished really for what he did frl and the least we can do is NOT let him lead their whole country like whattttt.
yes, Yes and YES!! Agreed completely! I was so happy when Wille gave the speech because it gave him to chance to take things into his control now that he’s fully ready! I’m excited to see what will happen to August next season 😫
15:20 i get what your saying because Simon really wouldn’t deserve that at all but if you remember in ep 4 when Wille said that he accepted that Simon finally moved on but you could tell that Simon really didn’t want Wille to think that which is why he chased after him so he wouldn’t get the wrong idea. And in ep 5 when Wille went to talk to Simon at his house Simon realized after Ayub said that Wilhelm would basically give up the crown for him which is what i think was the final straw to make him want to wait for Wille bc the day after when they were talking abt the book to the teacher Simon basically summed up Wilhelms pov as Malin finally accepting and understanding that thats how Wilhelm was raised and he literally didnt have any choice but to do what he did. Theres so much in this storyline that i can go on and on abt lol
Yes, and realizing this later I definitely understand as it help Wille become comfortable enough to come out and claim him publicly. Next season is going to be amazing.
I don’t agree on Simon. He weighed his options and in the end he decided that being with Wille was worth it because he grew to understand his position more. On top of that he understood the stakes if Wille abdicated to be with him (which he said he would do). What’s important to consider is that Simon came to this decision on HIS terms. Wille didn’t push him or force him or give him any kind of ultimatum. Ultimately Wille came out anyway, but I totally understand Simon. I have really loved watching your reactions!!
After many of you guys had the same thought process, it actually helped me see it that way also! I think that him meeting Wille halfway was definitely what helped Wille do what he did! I commend and love them both. And thank you so much 🥹😭
omar and edvin who played simon and william there scenes was so beautiful to watch and there connection and there chemisty and also there communication and there friendship are so strong and i love how simon told wille how he feels towards him it was so honest and when simon told him he love him u can see wille was happy and i love how wille change this speach and told everyone that it was him in the viedo with simon that was so honest it showing everyone how much he love simon and when he turn around to simon and gave him a smail he saying i love you to and when simon did the same that meand there are back together now they have each other for support and there love passion and conction is so magic and so powerful that nothing going to keep them apart this going to be a new revolution for them
I still feel really sad for August and I hope he gets the help he needs!! Wille y Simme!!! I loved that Wille said it was him but explained why he didn't at first - I just loved the speech!! I'm almost finished watching season 2 a second time!! Netflix better renew it!!
Yeeess I really hope next season each character will prosper in their own rights. I want August to definitely get help, he deserves to gain the knowledge and insight. I also think season 3 was renewed so I’m excited 😭
From start to finish, this show had me STRESSED! And I doubt that season 3 will bring any type of relief. It could go in so many directions, but here is what I personally predict- Wille and Simon will enjoy their time together, both publicly and privately. Meanwhile, the royal family will choose to make August Crown Prince because (let's face it) there are too many conservative people running the show. But when they make the announcement, August's crimes will come to light due to Sarah's report. This will cast a dark shadow over the royal family because one could argue August released the video in order to take Wille's place. And the family KNEW about it from the beginning.
this show is so incredible. the surprises at every turn, the depths to each character are just amazing. i hope season 3 sees wille and simon happy. that's probably too much to ask - because a season obviously has to be filled with something. i hope we get more than 6 episodes - because i dont want it to end!! i think the scene before wille gives the speech where he and simon are talking privately and simon tells him he loves him, is one of the best in the series. along with the fish scene. i was very interested with your reactions regarding simon saying he is prepared to wait and you said no one should ever have to. i think it's up to the individual personally - obviously simon has had all of the time they've known each other to weigh up whether or not he is prepared to wait. it seems like he wilfully made that decision, so it should be respected. my immediate concern about the ending is what implications sara calling the police will have. will it mean that august is taken out of the picture? what if the royal court isn't happy with willes speech and still intends to use august as a backup? will saras phone call spoil that? so much to wait for. one interesting thing which edvin (who plays wille) said in an interview is that after the final look he made at the camera.. they kept rolling and he goes back to simon after they speech and they walk back into the school together. will that happen in season 3? or was that just a ploy to throw the actors off as to how the season would end? exciting times ahead. thanks for your reactions - it's been great listening to your thoughts on both seasons!
I’ve absolutely loved your reactions to this show, I’m so sad it’s over:/ but I’m definitely gonna be back for reactions to other shows, you’re 100% one of my favorite reaction channels😇
Omg thank you so much 🥹😭 I can’t express how much that means to me. I’m glad I can bring you some enjoyment and yes, watch more and more will definitely come! Lol
Your reactions are so genuine! I just binged all of your reaction videos and I LOVED every second!! I can't wait for season three! I hope that you do more reactions when s3 comes out too (probs in a million years lol) !! Love love love to you
Im literally obsessed with your reactions your personality is just everything to me😭🤍 If they release a 3rd season imma be stalking your page for a reaction‼️
I just came across your videos and I absolutely love your reaction! Looking forward to what you think of season three when it comes out! I love the show so much!
I really enjoyed your reaction! Very insightful. Your analysis at the end was dead on. I’m excited to see Season 3 and how they proceed with their story now that their relationship is public.
You're right, August was backed into a corner and he's trying to protect himself. He tried to speak to Olaf, but when he didn't receive any help he tried to "fix" it himself. And I actually think Alexander taking the blame thing is just a bluff this time, to make Simon not report August. But when August was on his knees at gun point he still didn't betray Sara. He could have died, but he didn't admit she's the one who told him. Like, how am I supposed to hate him when he does things like that?
I would agree with you if both characters were free people living in the modern society, where public love is the norm. We don't want to love a person who is ashamed of us. But here is a different situation. Wille is not ashamed of Simon, his attachment is real. Simon loves a "restricted person", who doesn't have a say in his own life to love somebody. So it is not ideal for sure. But I understand Simon's choice. He tried to forget his love for Wille, and to "be free", but he was still unhappy. So I get why he would try to accept the secrecy for a while, to see if they could work despite it. If not, Simon won't have any regret, he would have given any change to this atypical relationship. And it also showed that Simon is ready to meet Wille half way (after a whole season of Simon's rejection), which encouraged Wille to meet Simon half way too, after that, outing himself to the nation, even if he is maybe not ready to, but a bit forced. I agree on the fact that it needs to be Simon's decision to accept these difficult conditions, if he wants to have a chance to live his relation as fully as possible, without resentments.
Honestly I get what you were saying with regards to Simon saying he’s okay with it being a secret for now, but ofc I was listening like “just wait” since I’ve already seen it lol. But I think Simon shows in ep 5 and 6 that he’s thought a lot more about the position Wilhelm is in, and has all the information now to make an informed decision. And I think that’s what really gives wilhelm the last push forward to give the speech that he did, like seeing that Simon is willing to accept the terms that have been laid out for wilhelm. I think it makes it so he can in return show that he understands simons needs and the need to really break the mold of tradition. Just because something has “always” been some way doesn’t mean it has yo stay that way, especially since there’s no way the monarchy hasn’t evolved over time anyway. This season has a couple misses for me, but overall I was really captivated by it. I’m hoping to see wilhelm and Simon be a United front in season 3. There’s still a lot of drama and fallout to deal with, but I think the “will they / won’t they” thing has been exhausted at this point. They still have a loooot to learn about each other and a lot of growing to do together, so I’m hoping that they’re going to be able to deal with all the drama together. Thanks for your insights and analysis!
The thing I disagree about what you said was when Sara said, “You really don’t understand“ (which I’ve also seen translated as “you really are clueless”) that she doesn’t understand, because at that point I think she finally does understand. She sees that August thinks he can buy her off and make everything right through his privilege, and she finally understands how manipulative he is. And that, I think, is why she finally decides to report him to the police.
But even with that, he never manipulated her. She chose to not communicate what happened to her brother or anyone else for personal gain. She didn’t tell anyone else about them dating for personal gain. I understand to a certain extent of what she was trying to say but I don’t agree with it as she still is finding the mere understanding of doing the right thing because it’s the right thing to do!
@@wwhn I definitely think she did delude herself into thinking that if August were given the full information that he would do the right thing. She encourages him to give himself up more than once (which of course he has no plans to do). And she is naïve enough to think that could happen. It isn’t until the scene at the shooting range that she finally is aware of the truth about August. Meanwhile, I do think he really has feelings for her, but his timing is terrible, and the offer of Rousseau to Sara is too late. Now she sees him for who he is. This doesn’t mean her wanting to do whatever it takes to become accepted is not problematic, but unless she reports something completely different to the police, she is finally doing what she should’ve done long ago.
@@jmsrh_3294 Yes, that was season 2, because I was talking about season 2. Her reasons for doing what she does in the first season are not admirable and are very disappointing. And that continues in season 2 until near the end when she finally realizes the truth about who August is. That’s some growth in the character, which I hope will be continued in the next season.
Keep in mind that she has Aspergers. She may have difficulty reading people, esp. people's emotions and motivations. This is also why she has a very straightforward approach to August. She does seem to get it in the end, as you point out. But at this point she also got a lot of feedback from Felice, Simon, etc. Her choosing to leave the residential situation also feels like an apology to Felice.
I believe Sara didn’t recognize that she was projecting onto August what she wanted him to be (accept responsibility and turn himself in). Just like her analysis of the Malin character in the table discussion of the Crisis book. She was blinded by what she wanted and never recognized August for how sincere he was in caring for her. And then her lack of accountability for her secrets from Simon and how that would affect their relationship. Like what she told Simon after the ball about not being able to control feelings, only behavior. She was talking about herself there too. Thanks so much for sharing your character insights.
Loved your reactions. My favorite part about the ending of S2 is Wilhelm is essentially saying, "Fuck closets. I don't want to be in one anymore, and I'm not forcing Simon back into one. It'd make him so unhappy and he deserves better. I don't want him to be my secret." Season 2 was PERFECT IMO. If we don't get more seasons, I'm marching on Netflix headquarters. My major fear for season 3 (🤞🏻we get one) is a HUGE one. Sara going to the cops about August leaking the tape is great. I love it. It's Sara taking responsibility for her complicity in his August's actions. August could potentiality (though unlikely), be held accountable for what he did. Great stuff. The thing I worry about is if this will lead into an investigation of Simon. Will the cops go after Simon for supplying the booze to Wilhelm's welcoming party? Could he be prosecuted for stealing his dad's pills and having August sell them at Hillerska since August didn't have money to pay Simon for the booze? My biggest fear is that all this joy and emotional/relationship growth will lead to Simon's peril when it's finally Wilhelm and Simon's opportunity to be openly, unashamedly, happily a couple. August paying for Rousseau was sweet and shows that does have genuine feelings for Sara, but August will ALWAYS put himself first. How the hell was she supposed to continue to afford Rousseau, huh? August may have bought her the physical horse, but horses cost to feed, board, vet bills, etc. Thoroughbreds are especially expensive. It shows he did not understand or care about HER life. It was all about him and how Sara made HIM feel. Sara had to put her own fucking food back when her friends thoughtlessly left it for Sara to pay for all of their coffees that one morning. Sara had to use her savings account money to pay for her friends' everyday luxuries. A lot of thoughtless behavior from rich people all around on this show, but it was a particularly thoughtless "gift" from August. The wildest, but most face-saving idea to solve the blackmail for everyone in season 3 (I only want to protect August just to keep Simon from any potential trouble) is if Simon's dad takes responsibility for all of the drugs, booze, and stuff as some kind of atonement for his past unspecified abusive behavior. Yes, Micke being a horrible father/husband who refused help for addiction is enough justification for the level of anger Sara and Simon feel towards him, but I always got the feeling there was a bigger picture there. Their dad is obviously not afraid to be physically violent with them- judging by how he grabbed Simon and slammed him against the wall in S1. I think something major happened in their family before the show. Possibly something bad Micke did against his wife/kids that he should have been turned into the police for, but wasn't for some reason. Micke going to jail for one of his kids would in a fucked up way be him trying to take responsibility for what he hypothetically did bad then. He could finally choose his childrens' wellbeing over himself. Simon never wanted to do that drug shit in the 1st place. August gave him no choice. Simon never would've done it otherwise. Every time August did something bad, he knew it was illegal and did it anyway because he WANTED to. 100% choice on his end. I know, TLDR, but season 2 gripped me so hard.
Arghhh this predication has me almost in tears it 100% is plausible! especially since we know wilhelm and simon will be together in s3, makes sense that things will get darker and more serious to balance it out! I’ve always thought Micke’s story was incomplete and felt kinda bad for him (except when he roughed up simon) and him atoning for the past like that would be wild!
I'm with you! I'm like the only one! August is terrible but he's clearly grown up in a bad environment and he's doing what he truly believes is best. He's not all the way to redemption yet but I loved seeing the nuances this season 😂
I don’t think it was right for august to try to out Simone cause August was the one asking for drugs and then not paying him when he knew that Simon is poor. He was taking advantage of Simon in S1. So I think august can definitely be at fault. Something being illegal doesn’t mean they are the same degree. August posted child pornography, outted Wilhelm, and manipulated Simon. Then tried to cover his on butt when he deserves to be punished
Please watch the interview Edvin had with Josh Smith on the Reign, Edvin brakes down Wilhelm beautifully and feel the love, respect and understanding he has for Wilhelm 👍❤️
The ending was all that I hoped it would be with Wilhelm and Simon. Also, I'm glad that you are not on the hate train for August that so many other reviewers/reactors on RUclips have been on. I don't condone August's actions but the story has given us insights into his character, how stressed and insecure he is. He doesn't get any support from his mother and stepfather. Even the Queen though she is so bound to carrying on tradition gives Wilhelm more support. I see him as more of an anti-hero than a villain at this point in the series. I hope he will get the chance to redeem himself in future seasons and there had better be future seasons.
Yeeess!! I feel exact same. The complexity in his characters allows to understand his reasonings and sympathize with them while also holding him accountable!
I think Alexander is ”new money” while some of those other kids are noble and ”old money”. He is lower in the hierarchy and wants to fit in and have noble friends. A promise of thankful royals/powerful people are important to him in that context. On the other hand maybe they’re just bluffing, since Alexander was already expelled when the video was posted.
This does not justify him taking thr fall again. You must be a foul to do the same mistake. And what? It is a bigger crime to record minors having sex...
I love how you are still like trying to defend August... :) I mean, I agree with you in many ways. I feel for that guy. He definitely has many issues he needs to solve (definitely needs therapy and rehab like hell). Yes, he is only 18. But the thing with August is, he does realize he behaves like a freaking a**hole (you can even see it in ep. 4 after he tells Alex the truth about the drug blame, he has it written in his face, like he knows he screwed up, same even in s 1 in the Lucia episode after he leaks the video and learns Wille actually took care of his tution fees issues), and yet, there is literally NO change in him. He's still hurting people, only caring about himself no matter the damage he does to others, still using drugs. He is manipulative af. So no matter how much I feel sorry for all the things he's gone through and how much understading I am towards him, I can't deny he is a terrible person, who hurts people on purpose and does everything just for his own sake. The most funny thing is him talking about having responsibilities, while he is not able to take responsibility for his own doing. And that is my problem with August, and that is why I think you are a saint, still defending him. :D Love your reactions, by the way.
I definitely see your point. I really do 😭 and thank you so muuuch 💙 I try to see the good on most complex people and characters but I can’t deny you’re right 😩😭
@@wwhn Yeah, I am also that kind of person who tries to see the good things and, as you pointed out, none of those characters is purely good/bad. But August keeps on making really bad choices. I was hoping his relationship with Sara (no matter how much I didn't like the fact she betrayed Simon like that) will start the change, he was so kind and sweet with her, but then he just threw everything away, again. But I like the character, August is really well-written, and Malte does such a great job portraying him! Anyway, take care and good luck with other reaction videos. I'm going to watch more of your reactions. :)
All that talking for nothing, just watch the show 😂 Anyone would have guessed that the Simon sacrifice of being a secret was the thing that proved to Willhem to sacrifice the denial of the video. Each one sacrificed everything for each other. That’s beautiful writing.
I don’t understand the purpose of your comment. This was filmed over a year ago so I can’t change how I formatted the video during this time. And if you checked my page, this is a reaction/commentary channel so there will be talking (which covers the commentary part) 😂😂 if you would like to watch a reaction where the reactor just sits there and plays the show for you to rewatch then maybe I’m not the creator for you and that’s okay but less pointless comments like this please…thanks.
So I agree with you about not hating August. I’m just disappointed in him cause emotion ruled him in the first season and in this one I still blame the adults. I just think Jan-Olof could have done his job better. But I am happy with the way this season ended. It made me mad when I first watched it cause I wanted to know what would happen next, good writing this show.
Yes! Jan-Olof definitely should have done better! Next season I want them to explore new people for the position so that August can get guidance but also someone to speak uncanny to him about his wrongdoings.
Even after a month of S2 being out, I still can’t believe that they are finally out after everything they have been through I am beyond proud of the both of them! We definitely need a S3 because there’s too many questions that needs to be answered ❤️

Every time August talks to the royal court on the phone and is close to having his secrets revealed, he is half-naked or naked.
That’s wiiild and so true! I wonder what that’s about lol

i just cant stop sayin that ur reactions are soo real is like im watching with u and we discuss about the situation 😂😂✨✨
Thank youuu 😭🥹 I swear it means the world to me.
Lets not forget that August caused all of this in the first place leaking that video...unforgivable so far...see how season 3 goes...
Yes, he did. He needs to be punished in some form or fashion so hopefully next season explores that.
I really enjoyed your reaction! Very insightful. Your analysis at the end was dead on. I’m excited to see Season 3 and how they proceed with their story now that their relationship is public.
Thank you 🥹 it means so much 🫶🏾
And yeeess, I’m so excited for season 3 toooo!
I agree with you fully. I also think that him accepting the conditions definitely caused the domino effect which will be great for the two of them.
@@wwhn Your reactions were a pleasure to watch, very open minded, thoughtful, not black and white, and always caring. Thank you.
Please do reactions of the casts interviews because they explain so much and their all lovely people!
I’ma have to! I know they’re so lovely 🥹
I’ve always thought Micke’s story was incomplete and felt kinda bad for him (except when he roughed up simon) and him atoning for the past like that would be wild!
i loved the ending so much!! can’t wait for s3!
Saaame! He’s taking his power back and I’m loving it!
I love your reactions soo much! You see all sides n I love that!
Thank you so much 🥹💙
Nah you just love the toxicity of August no matter what n I can’t lol. Not you fighting for this man
LMAOOO I gotta stand beside him 😂😂
I guess lol… also still currently watching the review and yes the dad added not a THING lol
@@wwhn are you blinded by the hot crossed buns, because literally no one stan’s August. 🤣🤣🍑
I'm with you! I'm like the only one! August is terrible but he's clearly grown up in a bad environment and he's doing what he truly believes is best. He's not all the way to redemption yet but I loved seeing the nuances this season 😂
YESSS. YOU SHUD REACT TO HEARTBREAK HIGH
I’m definitely thinking about doing it soon since I won’t have a show to watch apart from Skam
19:50 bestie you had me wanting to cry
Awww 🥹 Bestie you know I be emotional and emotionally invested in these characters 😫😭
Btw Edvin and Omar are going to be on Jimmy Fallon next week 👀
*saves immediately and adds to things to watch* thank you for this! Now that I’m finished I will definitely check that this weekend.
This would have gone so differently if Wilhelm was recording.
In what ways do you think?
@@wwhn August can't pin it on Alexander if the court has a recording of him pinning it on Alexander.
Hey bestie I didn’t get a notification on this so I am here just a little late
Bestie you’re fiiineee 🫶🏾😭
I think Alexander is ”new money” while some of those other kids are noble and ”old money”. He is lower in the hierarchy and wants to fit in and have noble friends. A promise of thankful royals/powerful people are important to him in that context.
On the other hand maybe they’re just bluffing, since Alexander was already expelled when the video was posted.
This does not justify him taking thr fall again. You must be a foul to do the same mistake. And what? It is a bigger crime to record minors having sex...
That’s a great way to think of it wow! But it’s sad because he would still put his freedom in jeopardy to fit in lol
Love your reactions, by the way.
You remind me a lot of Jon Batiste. Both of you are made of Love and Joy.
Aw thank you so much 🥹
yeah i just want to see wilmon being happy and together against everything that comes between them
YES! I really hope they get the justice they deserve next season!
All that talking for nothing, just watch the show 😂
Anyone would have guessed that the Simon sacrifice of being a secret was the thing that proved to Willhem to sacrifice the denial of the video.
Plz watch sex lives of college girls you’ll love it
