ACER ASPIRE ONE 722 take apart video, disassemble, how to open disassembly

  • Hi!
No music. No talking. Just work.
If you are taking your ACER ASPIRE ONE 722 laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
So, just watch this video and fix your laptop.
    Have fun and good luck!!
    regazzz
P.S. There is no reassemble video - that's why I have created a special channel for Backwards Playback Support for
each video that is missing reassemble. It is not the best possible solution obviously but better than nothing.
    Find a link at the end of each video. #recycling #recycle #upcycling #zerowaste #sustainability #reuse #environment

What you have done here is a dissection, not a lesson in surgery or repair, like some of the critics seem to have expected. Presumably the 722 was dead. This video was helpful in my understanding of the anatomy of a 722. Thank you for sharing it.

This is an epic fail, unless you are disassembling the thing for recycling
First of all that wrist strap isn't protecting anything , proven to be a scam
secondly pulling and scratching display over hinges , omg !
its best to stop here cause i'm getting mad right now

When I finish laughing -- enjoyed this video. Looks not so simple. Thank you. I have choices now - dump mine, or upgrade it to SSD. I am good at disassembling.
This looks like my old 722 and my current 756, which I like except for the ugly black color and invisible in low light keyboard. Not yet ready to part $$$ into a MacAir or Msoft. wish me luck.

The video is OK, however, the way you force the cover off from 5:14 all the way through 9:15 is way too rough. You seemed very frustrated for the 4 minutes of removing screws, trying a nail file for leverage to pry the thing apart, and attempting to rip it open with your hands There is no way you removed that cover without breaking some of the plastic "hooks" (the loud "popping" sound) needed to put the thing back together again.
This tear-down video will lead to a broke-down laptop for sure.

  • @regazzz
    @regazzz  11 лет назад

It is inside a laptop, you need to take almost a whole laptop apart.
If you are not sure how to, better ask some professional. They also can probably find a different way to fix your problem.

  • @regazzz

To replace LCD screen, you probably will need to remove only screws that are holding front bezel and front bezel by it self. It maybe will be not easy to remove front bezel in some places, but you can try it...

as you can see at 3.54 there is some type of aluminum foil that should protect, but if your laptop has some replacement keyboard, there can be also nothing...

i've been so frustrated with the power-plug-in beep. it's so startling in my classes. no this cannot be disabled in the bios; no it's not the PC speaker (it's actual integrated sound card); yes, you can mute or disable the driver, but not before OS is loaded. so, since the speakers are poor quality, i unplugged them from the mobo (JSPK2 connector). was a bit unhappy to lose all sound from this, but i couldn't take it anymore. anyone know how to disconnect _only_ the power->speaker connection?

Please explain to me how you removed that cover at 0:20 because I truly have no clue how to remove this! I removed the screw at the lower end like you did then tried to pull the cover the same direction as you showed but it's stuck there for some reason!

Do you know that before you start working with computers you should ground your self first, apparently he knows because he is wearing his "Anti-Static Wrist Band". If you notice he is not relying on the anti static risk band as you made notice their is know attachment to his body or device. I trying to find a screen replacement for the Gateway NE 722 Series Laptop that's why I stop by to check out these tutorials.Do you know if Gateway sell these parts. www.techradar.com/us/news/mobile-computing/laptops/how-to-repair-your-laptop-1030241
