Thanks for this bro! This was a really useful video. Liked how you explained the advantages of using the choro sheet and how to use it in the right way.
Look for corrugated polypropylene, which is what correx is. It is often sold as floor protector. In the UK you can get 2mm thick from B&Q under the name Antinox
By the way, corrugated plastic sheet use to built RC aircraft was taught by a Brittish hobbyist. The aircraft is call Mugi. The way to get a good airfoil is to bend against the flute and not along it. This method , the longitudinal strength is however, compromise but this can be overcome with a strong hollow carbon spar spread along the wings. The airfoil shape is more important then longitude strength. I have built dozen of flying wing using the " Mugi " aircraft bending technique. Some of my aircraft is capable of going at blistering speed and last for years with some horrific crashes. Corrugated plastic sheet are one tough cookies.
Finally someone on RUclips explains corosheet RC construction techniques. Thanks very much. This was a much needed video. Would it increase the rigidity if we used two layers of corosheet with the ribs at right angles to reach other?
Rather than glue two layers, its better to use a sheet of higher thickness. Yes the ribs will increase rigitidity to a certain extent ,but the issue with corosheet is it wont stick very well when the it is glued against its thickness.because of its hollow nature
Excellent vid and thank you for your efforts in making it. My son and I are about to build a 1.2m high wing trainer out of coroplast (called Corflute here in Australia). My question is whether it makes a big difference to make the box fuselage with horizontal or vertical lines in your opinion. We had planned to run the grain along the fuse and add numerous internal cross-sections for structural rigidity. My logic was that the fuse would likely be far less prone to flex in this configuration. Your wisdom on the matter will be much appreciated! Many thanks - Dave
I have tried both orientations in the fuselage structure, but the one where the lines were vertical was best, it gave the best rigidity while the orientation running parallel was very weak and flimsy. With the vertical you avoid the need to provide large number of reinforcements and thereby reduce weight.
I built rc planes and boats only using coro 2mm. It's my favourite. If we use some little Technics it's more easy to build rc plane and boats etc. Anyway nice video
If you know how to build them with the right techniques they will come out as good as a foamboard airplane and will be way more durable at the expense of a little more weight

How u cut it with its both layer same or uniformly ?
Great job 👌
I find this to be more easy to get and lower cost than foam board. Will be building my first plane soon!
Thanks for the video. Do you know where to buy thinner grade cp ...around 1.5 mm to 2mm.
I use to buy from my local shop but the shop has close down.
I have only used 3mm & 5mm, not sure where exactly its available

Thanks for this, some of the best in information on using corrugated sheet.

Thank you

Have you tried multiwall polycarbonate with diagonal bracing sheets?
No actually haven't tried.
Great work
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and advice!
How does spray paint 🎨 affect the coroplast? What’s the positive and negative? Have you tried?
@@burtisaac1000 I will, I was planning to make a video on that, Thanks
Bro you deserve more than that subs
Thank you ,you made my day
@@JetNautics bro can you please tell me that from where I can buy 5 mm coro sheet, in india can you please send the link
@@fs0122 you can buy locally, at hardware or glass stores ,ask plastic sheet or pvc sheet and you will get it
Very well thought out video. I am now a subscriber and a future Coloplast Aviator.
Its Coro fyi👍
Thanks for the sub🎉
What is the thickness of the blue coroplast sheet?
5mm
@@JetNautics thank you
Bro which thickness is best for rc plane. Thickness of coro sheet?
5mm
Finally today I managed to get my hand on corosheet !!!!!!!!!!!
Is it lighter then cardboard and thermacoal
New sub man cheer up I wanted to build one too

Where to buy these sheets, I mean from which type of shop
Ask any acrylic sheet or sign board supplier. I think in India it's called sunboard
What is cost of corosheet in india
depends where in india
affordable though
Around Rs. 200 for a 4 ft x 6ft board. Very cheap.
Where can I get this stuff ..... I can't find it I have searched everywhere 2 km radius near my home
Try asking in a glass House or hardware stores as pvc or plastic sheet
@@JetNautics ok
@@JetNautics thanks
The airplane is very wired but the idea is Great good job
Thanks, more videos coming soon , would be awesome if you'd subscribe!!
🔥🔥🔥
Wher we get this and how much pay for this job bro
You can get tgis at most hardware , hobby or glass stores. Job??
@Jet School you forgot to say that you can get cheap/free materials just after voting season.
I didn't know that, is it an American thing
@@JetNautics Yup, I have about 10 x 4' by 8' vote for somebody and 30 x 4' by 4' vote for someone corosheets
share plans to make
It would be great if you add flight video footage
Sure, I'll put it next time, Thanks for the feedback

Built a ufo with it
this stuff is very expensive in the US, 5-10x the cost of foam boards, if anyone find a place to get theses I'd would make the switch
In India its the opposite its cheaper.
Stick to foam board these look a complete mess
