But when he realises he is actually powerful enough to be standing among heroes, I really wonder how his perspective will change.
stark and frieren's conversation about how long he has stayed in the village is worded a little differently in the manga; S - I've lived in this village for three years. F - That's ephemeral. S - That's eternal. Just always loved that exchange, thought you might too.
That's not how its worded in the manga. You're just using kirei cake fan translation. The official translation of the manga is in a very similar line to how it was translated in the anime.
This anime really knows how to do emotional buildup within a scene, stark fighting the dragon sticks out to me as one of the most beautiful action scenes in context. I’ve seen plenty of scenes like it, but for some reason this show got it in just the right way and got an emotional reaction out of me
About frieren and her time perception, there is a mild reference throughout the series. If you notice, the time jumps are shorter each episode. In the first episode there was a jump of fifty years. But then it was 20 years. by now the jumps are shorter and shortes, because frieren is slowly realizing that time perceptions that others have.
Stark ❤ I really relate to him. I feel a deep connection to this character because not trusting my own skills is the story of my life while I have always worked hard on them. Now I'm more self-aware but I still have sometimes this impostor syndrome but most of the time it helps me transcending myself. I was not aware of this some years ago and I have hard time believing in compliments. Some people think it's fake humility. It's not. It's just either I think people are trying to flatter me to get something or that they overrate my skills. I still work on that and admiting this is already a huge step for me that I was not able to do some years ago. I try now to accept compliments but I still have a behind thought "hmm why do they say that are they lacking of knowledge of my real skills or are they trying to manipulate me" 😭 in the end this internal fear/anxiety today I'm making it one of my strengths!
When I still had delusions of being a teacher I took a public speaking class and one of the things the teacher told us was yes everyone is afraid of public speaking. So channel the energy that fear gives you into your speaking.
I wish people would stop disrespecting Stark by bringing up the gimmick that is Zennitsu. Its just to demeaning to Stark to be in the same discussion as that walking gag of a gimmick masquerading as a character.
In my personal opinion I feel like stark is zenitsu but done right, it's been three seasons and zenitsu has had zero development in terms of being scared, he still can only fight if he is knocked out, just in this episode stark has already overcome a few steps by facing the dragon and realizing his master was afraid, stark is about realizing fear is not something bad, it can be used, where as zenitsu tries to overcome fear and leave it behind...which he is failing at, no hate though I love my little yellow zappy boy❤❤

If you want to know how old Fran is then you need to subtract 11 years from the time since Himmel’s death. The age relationship was established in episode 3 when Fran revealed her age.
