Tried my 25 battles with this team today. 1 win 24 losses 🤦🏻♂️ i stg this game pits me against teams with perfect counters no matter what team i choose, i think i've been like 280/1000 over the last month lol
Hi Verg! Off topic from the video but I just wanna say how I love Hypno DD. Its been my go-to team since I discovered your channel about 4 years ago. Only managed to peak at 2800 elo though unfortunately! Also, a question: What season/meta has been the absolute worst from Hypno DD in your opinion?
Like 5 seasons ago, the Medicham meta was absolutely terrible. Because there were also Noctowl, Sableye, and Trevanent. Really the Noctowl was the worst, but Medi can beat the whole team too
Congrats for reaching legend ! I tried this team today. I had a lot of water lead ( feraligatr, quagsire, azumaril…) very difficult to manage. Do you have some advices ?
Quag: I'd play out the 0's and try and dig. If they shield you'll lose. Come in ape and get some farm with an extra shield. Fera: very tough, I'd play out the 1s with gligar and hope that I can use my shield with Ape and farm down and hope that energy can get the shield back and a win. Azu: Saw in the vid, swap to Ape. It's not the worst matchup, go to the 2s if they stay in. Gligar will have play later for sure, don't bait Night Slash
Congratz man you really hit rank number 1? Amazing! Will there be Super Charged TM this season for pvp? Is it possible to get to rank 1 with the same setup but not Shadow Gligar but normal Gligar?
I did not hit rank 1, I used the team that the rank 1 player played and I was able to hit legend with it! I think regular Gligar should be similar, I do think shadow is better though
i actually ran this exact team for a while but i just kept getting matched into mantine/azumarill every game and gave up on it, cant believe id conceptualised a rank 1 team at some point and just got farmed down at the 2000 range anyway

I think I'd stay in and play the 1s or maybe even the 2s and then try to get it down with the Ape. But I think it would be difficult

How do you deal with skarmory or fire bird leads?
For Skarm you gotta switch into your own Skarm. Just go with Gligar lead into the fire birds
13:38 is it possible they are going for CMP but getting "refunded" so they're not getting a fast move through?
I guess anything is possible, but I have noticed that I don't see fast moves sometimes on non-cmp
