    If I am hearing you correctly, it’s five years from the manufactures date correct? The only problem with that is that the manufactures date is usually on a sticker on the unit itself and when it’s packaged in retail packaging, there’s no way to see that date so you could be paying full price for a detector that is new old stock that has been hanging on someone’s shelf for 2 to 3 years. This is the problem that I’m having currently we don’t know how old these units are that are being sold on eBay and that are sitting on the average RV parts counter.

    🆘🤷🏻‍♀️- this happened today! On the way home from a weekend trip, I went into the trailer to find my Carbon Monoxide’s alarm was going off! I walked into the bathroom & it SMELLED, BAD, like a over chemically treated porta potty..? Were the gases from the black tank setting off the alarm? I was pretty scared. Needless to say!

      It is possible, the chemical gases set it off

      Help. I just replaced my lp gas detector. But is still going off and shutting my power completely down. Has the lpl gas solenoid gone bad as well?????
