So often we get stuck in 'standard landing approach' or 'the way we've always done it' and it's very good to keep learning and trying new things, so the skills to react fast are there when you really need them.
Definitely some next level landing techniques! Not for the newbies out there like myself, I’ve been practicing top landing and side hill landing at my local sand dune site and it’s definitely a skill worth practicing and learning
I dont really get the point why you need more energy for a slope landing. Where is the problem when you try to land on a slope from trim speed? Maybe someone can explain a little more?

you get a bigger pendulum movement and can reduce the speed at touch down more
I think he means flying straight onto a slope (due to sideways restriction by surroundings). Like in the last landing in the video
You need the extra energy to baloon upwards. You will end up hurting yourself if you can't go up due to the incline.

I practice at the beach by doing (largeish) pendulums and timing it so my bum almost scraps the sand before flaring it in
