I recently bought a Hamilton Jazzmaster and I can't stop looking at it. Almost went for a Tissot but I honestly don't think you can go wrong with either one.

Thanks for another great review! I'm glad Bond is doing better and I think that's him we can hear in the background? I like this watch too, though would also prefer the black version. Hamilton, Tissot, Victorinox, & even some Bulova Accu-Swiss, all have some nice entry level Swiss automatic & auto chronographs in the $500-$1000 range that are worthy of consideration. The movement beats at 28,800 … not 28,600 as you stated and that’s a Manta Ray on the back. What you’re perceiving as a carbon fiber inner dial is actually Hamilton H logos throughout the inner dial. Also, that’s a date change button … not a helium escape valve on the top left side. This watch retails for $1,995 so I’m not sure how you came to the conclusion that this watch is $1,000 or under that unless you buy it from a grey market dealer and possibly used at that price with no warranty. Buy from an AD always, you might not get 50% off but you’ll get 30% off with the full warranty plus peace of mind knowing the watch is brand new too. The strap is perfect and the fact that it’s not too long is great because you don’t have that extra overhang so it looks clean and doesn’t look sloppy. I’m not sure why you would change the strap anyway as it is perfectly comfortable too with the extremely soft rubber and you can always buy a black one from Hamilton too. Hopefully you got smarter by now as I noticed this is an old review.

Nice review. On your comments about the bezel, you have to remember this watch is a dive watch. The click feedback is to help a diver operate the bezel with thick gloves on , in water while being jostled around by waves. If I'm wearing it on dry land, there's no need to operate the bezzle. So, bring on the big loud clicks!

Nice review mate and agree with ya should also go for an all black version for this watch...! Orange one is more for a holiday or seasonal wear.
BTW that is not a helium escape valve located at 10'clock.it is a small pusher for date adjustment

The hole on the left is not a gas release valve. It's the quick date set function.

That IS NOT a helium escape valve! That is where you change the date. I own this watch.
Also, the picture on the back is in fact a Manta Ray. There are units selling for under $1000.00 on e bay.
If purchased from an authorized dealer it is $1300-1900 new.
Those of you interested in the watch new be careful of those non authorized dealers! Great watch as you stated. A keeper.I bought the black strap for it as well, looks great with either the orange or the black.
Ops you're right it's the date change pusher, my mistake. It's a fantastic watch. You're right buying watches on grey market can be a bit risky. Good word of caution for anyone who's interested.

K9USA, good point you made because I was going to state that if you hadn’t and also ... it’s not “vibrations per hour”, it is in fact BEATS per hour. The bph on this watch is 28,800, not 28,600 as he stated.
As a side note, helium escape valves are marketing gimmicks anyways. They’re only necessary if you’re going to dive in a diving bell or some type of submersible where the helium has to be regulated within the watch or the crystal will fail. 99.9% of the World will not need that feature and I’m glad this watch doesn’t have one because it doesn’t look good and is useless. Omega is a big offender in regards to helium escape valves.

Very nice indeed but if I was to spend sort of money on a piece that strap would would be a deal breaker for me .
Half the fun of watch collecting is swapping out the bracelets/straps and whenever I buy a watch I've usually bought 3 dif straps for it before it even arrives lol

Cant remember what hamilton vintage but I think the case design is a nod to one of their vintage designs.

I bought one in black, but returned it. I just couldn’t keep looking at the date window. Wrong angle, wrong color, wrong location. A complete afterthought.
I don't like that "shell" design case. Otherwise good specs to be honest.
Does this model have the ETA movement ?
It has a Hamilton Cal H31 movement which is essentially ETA 7753 with increased power reserve. Power reserve is increased to 60 hours from a standard ETA 7753 of 42 hours.

I tried contacting Hamilton and they were incompetent telling me that since I have the rubber version that I can't get a stainless steel bracelet for it... I wanted to reach into the email and strangle that customer service rep from Hamilton that told me that.... it if you can tell me exactly where you got it that would be great.

Not sure but it's quite heavy. Maybe 120-130 grams.
@@24hourstime i bought this watch (it's on it's way) but i had some concern about the weight...amazon stating that it's 400g...after some searching on several sites i found that it's ~165g...so not so heavy but not light either...maybe this is something you should introduce into your videos beside sizing...weighing of the watches.
