Thank you for doing this video, i was having some of the same problems after buying this cutter/plotter and ive had for about 3 yrs and thought theu sent me a broken machine. Until i finally took some time with it, got working now getting it to weld is a different story still plugging away tho. Thanks again!
Hi there, appreciate the help, years back I used signcut so may be different but just saved it as DXF and had no issues. Worked for embroidery machine too. I'll probably be back when artcut won't work! 👍😎❤️
Hi, I am seeking for help as I got a SeikiSK375T and I can't put it to work. I can not find it on the device list of the Artcut2009, and trying different SK models is not working for me yet. Do you have any advice? I saw you have some video on the same plotter..., but sadly comments are unabled. Thank you in advance!
Karen Broughton N.Z to be honest dunno if needs to be traced it was just all stuff I found online when starting out and pieced everything together cause was only way I could make work but I've since started using Corel draw due to it is way better and images come out way better problem I always had with Inkscape is you can't save as a plt file
I made this video a while ago so not to sure I did do a video also on a way to cut direct from Inkscape u could also try but now I use coreldraw just for the ease of things
Hi there , this has helped big time . I've noticed when I use this method some images turn out very deformed . This is when I'm in art cut traced image. I'm sure you've seen this fault if so have you got a solution?
Lanah Pukepuke I think the jaggedness comes from the file format this way is less then ideal it was just the only way I could get it to do anything at the time I purchased since all this I started using Corel draw which u can save files as plt which keeps the image quality when you import to artcut
I haven't messed around much with font but I know what you mean I'm not sure the best way to do it I usually split the nodes and and join but I do need to find a better way because it's annoying when the letter cross each other I know Corel has a weld tool just haven't played around much with font
I'm happy for you bud, but I need some free cutter software. I haven't touched my plotter in years, and can't remember what I used back then. This seemed a lot easier back in the day.
I have Inkscape which i use to plot cut often. I have already used Bitmap trace and node editied. The issue after saving PNG in Inkscape, opening in paint, saving as JPEG, imported to Artcut, the image is traced and looks like garbage (original). Why not just use Inkscape? The image is better than the one you have retraced in Artcut.
C C I personally prefer Corel draw now this video was when I first got cutter and was only way I could get to work I did learn to cut from Inkscape which did a video on I just prefer cutting from Art cut which works better with Corel draw
Hey mate I found an easier way if you didnt already know, thanks to watching this though.. 😉 You do it all in artcut2009. - Import JPG image into artcut - highlight Image - file > image tracing > next > next > tick smooth (yes). - move image over and you'll see outlined. - highlight actual image (not outlined) - Edit > delete Then scale to necessary size. Hope that helped, using 1 software not jumping through different ones.
I mainly use Corel draw now or I did another video of how I do it all straight from Inkscape but appreciate the tip maybe can help others that are new to all this 👍
Hammad Ahmed I don’t remember what speed and pressure I did that test with pen at but now when cutting vinyl I use roughly 250 -300 speed and 150 pressure but I’m still new to all this so it’s all trial and error
Hello can anyone help me I’ did his steps till the saving the Inkscape image where he says save it as a png but I didn’t see that option can anyone hep
I've been commenting on all RUclipsrs . See if u will answer me . I have a logo I'm trying to do . But it has 9 colors I'm having problems when cutting it cuts all the line is there a easy way of doing this
Justin P I k ow there’s an easier way to do it but sometimes I’ll just copy the image so there 1 copy per color then break images apart and keep only the pieces I would need of that specific color then puzzle together if that makes sense
Justin P if memory serves me correctly I think there’s a video on RUclips where the lady shows it and she’s doing it on a Tennessee Titans logo in the video
theres no need, inkscape can interface directly to chinese plotters, convert text to path (under path menu), goto extentions > export > plot....connection settings tab > set your com port then serial flow to none and command language to DMPL. works great
I did figure out a way to do direct after a while did another video how I did it but me personally I still prefer cutting from art cut also started using Corel draw it a little easier
I really do not want to offend anyone, but as a professional I have to say that this is the worst way to send files to the plotter. Cutting machines need vector graphics and PNG‘s or JPEG‘s do not contain vector graphics. Tracing is a method to create vectors from a bitmap, but by exporting it to a bitmap png, you destroyed your tracing result. Re-saving it as JPEG makes it even worse because JPEG is a lossy format. With every additional tracing and saving as JPEG you lose information. And then you even traced it a second time in your cutting software ... PNG‘s, JPEG‘s or other bitmap files are not used it the cutting industry. You need to stick to file formats which allow vector graphics like EPS, PDF or AI. All you had to do in Inscape is tracing and saving it as EPS. Then import it in your cutting software and start the job.
K;Rivva of coarse. This way not perfect at all hence why I say in the comments I started using coreldraw at the time of making this though I tried everything with Inkscape and and artcut and this was the only way I could get the ball rolling and as the video shows while it's not perfect it worked and was a start to learning more and as you say in your comment your a professional so you would have better knowledge and programs I assume then most people that are looking for help and myself this was just what worked at the time when I spent like a week searching for help videos and couldn't find any on the eBay printer I got and the programs I had to work with
You've hurt my head with all this crap! You do realise you can open the image in artcut and also import an then image scan from artcut to do what youve done in 20 mins in 1 second 🤣 I do it all the time from Google images in fact I'm doing right now hence how I found this video I'm looking for best setting to put my plotter blade to Keep doing the work dude Youl get there eventually

@@DMDCREATIONS-o5o thank you Darryl m. I appreciate that. Because this cutter has been working me!! Lol
Monique Hagans even just uploaded a quick one how I found a way to cut straight from Inkscape so u can skip artcut all together

so saving out of inkscape. .PNG is not even an option under save as. so confused. anyway you can help out?
@avanui awarangi i quit even using inkscape. But i think i converted as png through a site on the internet
You have to "export' to png in Inkscape
What if we don’t have the option of saving in as png file 2:31

How do you turn off the weed border in artcut bro?
Hi is there a reason this had to be traced? Still learning the softwares.

How do you weld letters?????
Whatever life throws not sure what you mean by weld letter
If you cut a word you type in cursive. It cuts each letter but if you weld it it cut out the word makes it easier quicker to peel.

I did a video where I do it all In Inkscape and Inkscape is free
How would you rate the cutter? I'm looking at one on ebay. Affordable. I need it to contour cut it says it does
MIJA Prints Boutique I like it it's just the software that's not the greatest if you can work around that it's good

Hi, please can someone tell me how can i cut in just one line ,not double? Thanks!
I personally use vector magic, it is so easy to use and far fewer steps that this
I think it does double line for weeding purposes
