getting pictures from inkscape to artcut 2009 to cut on a vinyl cutter plotter
Просмотров 107 тыс.5 лет назад
(CHECK OUT MY OTHER VIDEO TO CUT DIRECT FROM INKSCAPE AND NOT NEED ARTCUT). not being able to find ways of getting my images from inkscape to artcut2009 this is the easiest way and didn't require buying any new soft ware just used inkscape which is free and artcut 2009 which came with the vinyl cutter plotter that I got for real cheap off ebay
Thanks for showing that that's possible. I really don't wanna install artcut 2009.
You my friend are a £%&%ing genius. Crying shame you do not have more likes or views. The ONLY post that actually nails it. X
😊😊😊
How do you turn off the weed border in artcut bro?
You've hurt my head with all this crap! You do realise you can open the image in artcut and also import an then image scan from artcut to do what youve done in 20 mins in 1 second 🤣 I do it all the time from Google images in fact I'm doing right now hence how I found this video I'm looking for best setting to put my plotter blade to Keep doing the work dude Youl get there eventually
When I start writing it stop print
ROFL, was this published on April 1st?
plot in not active in my inkscape, help please
Very useful
didn't work for me. using craft robo pro. already using adobe illustrator for it, but would have liked to try inkscape for simplicity. i suppose inkscape doesn't support laser mark reading though..
good vid straight to the point ... no polish .....no mucking round .......this is how its done vid shows what you said it would in english
I'm happy for you bud, but I need some free cutter software. I haven't touched my plotter in years, and can't remember what I used back then. This seemed a lot easier back in the day.
I did a video where I do it all In Inkscape and Inkscape is free
Sonso yokalla
Hey mate I found an easier way if you didnt already know, thanks to watching this though.. 😉 You do it all in artcut2009. - Import JPG image into artcut - highlight Image - file > image tracing > next > next > tick smooth (yes). - move image over and you'll see outlined. - highlight actual image (not outlined) - Edit > delete Then scale to necessary size. Hope that helped, using 1 software not jumping through different ones.
I mainly use Corel draw now or I did another video of how I do it all straight from Inkscape but appreciate the tip maybe can help others that are new to all this 👍
Definitely helped me mate, I'm new to it all.. so happy to share either.. It's amazing how these tutorials help!!

Hi there, appreciate the help, years back I used signcut so may be different but just saved it as DXF and had no issues. Worked for embroidery machine too. I'll probably be back when artcut won't work! 👍😎❤️
Hi, I am seeking for help as I got a SeikiSK375T and I can't put it to work. I can not find it on the device list of the Artcut2009, and trying different SK models is not working for me yet. Do you have any advice? I saw you have some video on the same plotter..., but sadly comments are unabled. Thank you in advance!
i don't know you but I know you found your purpose. You are a great teacher. Thank you.
This is a bullshit....i dont understand people in the coment sayng this is good tutorial.....Tracing the traced line is resulting double lines....this is a BS....
No need to get all but hurt lol like I said I was new couldn’t find anyway of doing it this worked for me and got me started like anything once you get started u learn things differently if ppl think it’s good then obviously they got something out of it and assume like me they will figure out different better ways of doing things but to get ur feelings hurt over a video yikes
When I click cut/plot it just says “an unnamed file was not found”
I made this video a while ago so not to sure I did do a video also on a way to cut direct from Inkscape u could also try but now I use coreldraw just for the ease of things
ありがとうございました! very helpful ! 👍
Still one of the best vids out to date thank yoy
O9
could you please tell us more about what a key span is and how it works?
Thank you for the clear directions!
THANK YOU!!!
hi after i press cut , said an unnamed file was not find . can some one help me please? why said that?
Ok I am following the video step by step and it is not working. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
I know this comment is old, but I was having the same issue. Not sure if I'm on a different version of Inkscape but I needed to select the letters using the nodes tool after ungrouping them but before the path/union step. Hope this helps someone.
Big thanks brother 👍
thanks
What version of Inkscape are you using? Besides the PNG not being an option even the trace bitmap options are different from v1.0
Stroker396 that was the version available when I made video I use Corel draw mainly now
What if we don’t have the option of saving in as png file 2:31
me 2
Hello can anyone help me I’ did his steps till the saving the Inkscape image where he says save it as a png but I didn’t see that option can anyone hep
I didn't see that option either.. So how do i save
Did u get any help? I am experiencing the same problem
@@keabetswediau5852 sorry for my late but just press control + shift + E
so saving out of inkscape. .PNG is not even an option under save as. so confused. anyway you can help out?
@avanui awarangi i quit even using inkscape. But i think i converted as png through a site on the internet
You have to "export' to png in Inkscape
Hi is there a way I can send you a pic for you to help me please
Ricona Hylton what u need help with ?
How would you rate the cutter? I'm looking at one on ebay. Affordable. I need it to contour cut it says it does
MIJA Prints Boutique I like it it's just the software that's not the greatest if you can work around that it's good
@@DMDCREATIONS-o5o thanks!
Ayuda porfavor yo compre una igual sk 375 de 14 "" pero e tenido muchos problemas con instalación del software acual software puedo usar
Simple answer for a problem that I couldn't figure out. Thank you very much.
I really do not want to offend anyone, but as a professional I have to say that this is the worst way to send files to the plotter. Cutting machines need vector graphics and PNG‘s or JPEG‘s do not contain vector graphics. Tracing is a method to create vectors from a bitmap, but by exporting it to a bitmap png, you destroyed your tracing result. Re-saving it as JPEG makes it even worse because JPEG is a lossy format. With every additional tracing and saving as JPEG you lose information. And then you even traced it a second time in your cutting software ... PNG‘s, JPEG‘s or other bitmap files are not used it the cutting industry. You need to stick to file formats which allow vector graphics like EPS, PDF or AI. All you had to do in Inscape is tracing and saving it as EPS. Then import it in your cutting software and start the job.
K;Rivva of coarse. This way not perfect at all hence why I say in the comments I started using coreldraw at the time of making this though I tried everything with Inkscape and and artcut and this was the only way I could get the ball rolling and as the video shows while it's not perfect it worked and was a start to learning more and as you say in your comment your a professional so you would have better knowledge and programs I assume then most people that are looking for help and myself this was just what worked at the time when I spent like a week searching for help videos and couldn't find any on the eBay printer I got and the programs I had to work with
@@DMDCREATIONS-o5o neither mate good work.
Awesome work on the copy and paste Mr BLOWFESSIONAL hope you dont get offended lmfao
@@carlkati32 Copy and paste??
thank you
So this excludes art cut 2009 all together ? Have you managed to find a way to keep the integrity of the trace on to art cut ? If so would like to know . Thank you for the videos mate .
Lanah Pukepuke yes doing it this way avoids needing to use artcut alltogether you just need to tinker with speeds and pressures to get right I started using Corel draw and art cut to do the cutting it's by far my favourite way to do things now
Im having one issue , everytime i hit extensions and plot then apply . Its all running fine but its not starting at origin position drags down about half a meter any reason you may know why?
I'm not to sure sorry I'm not a huge fan of doing it this way
@@lanahpukepuke8077 You may have data trapped in the buffers in your plotter, so I would advise turning off, then on to clear. Also, if you open a process explorer, you can crash Python (if it hangs).
Hi there , this has helped big time . I've noticed when I use this method some images turn out very deformed . This is when I'm in art cut traced image. I'm sure you've seen this fault if so have you got a solution?
Lanah Pukepuke I think the jaggedness comes from the file format this way is less then ideal it was just the only way I could get it to do anything at the time I purchased since all this I started using Corel draw which u can save files as plt which keeps the image quality when you import to artcut
Any chance of a tutorial please mate?
And is coreldraw free download?
Lanah Pukepuke unfortunately not
Lanah Pukepuke u have to buy she software
Hi is there a reason this had to be traced? Still learning the softwares.
Karen Broughton N.Z to be honest dunno if needs to be traced it was just all stuff I found online when starting out and pieced everything together cause was only way I could make work but I've since started using Corel draw due to it is way better and images come out way better problem I always had with Inkscape is you can't save as a plt file
great video thank's for share !!
I've been commenting on all RUclipsrs . See if u will answer me . I have a logo I'm trying to do . But it has 9 colors I'm having problems when cutting it cuts all the line is there a easy way of doing this
Justin P I k ow there’s an easier way to do it but sometimes I’ll just copy the image so there 1 copy per color then break images apart and keep only the pieces I would need of that specific color then puzzle together if that makes sense
Justin P if memory serves me correctly I think there’s a video on RUclips where the lady shows it and she’s doing it on a Tennessee Titans logo in the video
@@DMDCREATIONS-o5o yes I have seen that one . I was just seeing if you did it a different way
Justin P yeah I usually just piece it all like I mentioned in my one comment
thankyou for this info it was something i needed to get the ball rolling haha
Hi, please can someone tell me how can i cut in just one line ,not double? Thanks!
I personally use vector magic, it is so easy to use and far fewer steps that this
I think it does double line for weeding purposes
I have Inkscape which i use to plot cut often. I have already used Bitmap trace and node editied. The issue after saving PNG in Inkscape, opening in paint, saving as JPEG, imported to Artcut, the image is traced and looks like garbage (original). Why not just use Inkscape? The image is better than the one you have retraced in Artcut.
C C I personally prefer Corel draw now this video was when I first got cutter and was only way I could get to work I did learn to cut from Inkscape which did a video on I just prefer cutting from Art cut which works better with Corel draw
This is what's happening to me
@@DMDCREATIONS-o5o eu não consigo instalar o Corel draw, sabe me informar se eu possível eu trabalhar usando o inkscape e o articut?
theres no need, inkscape can interface directly to chinese plotters, convert text to path (under path menu), goto extentions > export > plot....connection settings tab > set your com port then serial flow to none and command language to DMPL. works great
I did figure out a way to do direct after a while did another video how I did it but me personally I still prefer cutting from art cut also started using Corel draw it a little easier
What do i do if it runs half a meter down vinyl? Then starts then once cut is finished it runs back up to top/start position
@@lanahpukepuke8077 did you hit origin button on the machine before starting?
Hello...Is this compatible with any plotter especially yinghe plotter?
Once I apply the path to Union, the centers of the letters disappear. Any Ideas?
Romawoods Woodworking I’ve been using Corel draw for a while now but on it the same ting happens so what I do is hold shift grab all the inside of letters drag out of way weld everything then move centres back to position or I hold shift click all the outside of the letters and then weld I’m not 100% but when u ungroup the word u might have to go in and ungroup every letter to break it apart
@@DMDCREATIONS-o5o I think what was happening is that the insides were not selected when I converted the text to an object. I had to do in an click on the nner portions like inside circle of the letter "o" or the letter "p". Then convert each to an object.
that was EXACTLY what I needed for a couple of days that I was trying out all kind of solutions.. so, I does not need any particular cutter, just to setup port, baud, that what you've shown and all is good to go?
so, objects to paths are a must... plus outline... yet, how do you setup width of cutter bed.. what is matching that measurment in inkscape? thanks anyhow...
Dragon Knight u definitely want it as an out line and I’m not entirely sure how to set the width of cutter bed I just use the box on screen I honestly don’t like cutting direct from Inkscape I feel I have less control
Dragon Knight the video shows the basics but there probably is a lot more options for more control when cutting just gotta play around I find artcut 2009 the program that came with printer works best for me even know it gets a lot of hate
Darryl m hi mate, how are you finding this plotter is it still working well, no issues? And how are the cut lines, nice and clear, I was thinking about buying one but I’m not sure..
