বৃষ্টি অব্যাহত থাকায় শনিবার পর্যন্ত সিলেটের কয়েকটি নদীর পানি আরও বাড়বে বলে জানিয়েছে বন্যা পূর্বাভাস ও সতর্কীকরণ কেন্দ্র। তবে এর পর থেকে পানি কমে অবস্থার উন্নতি হওয়ার পূর্বাভাসও দিয়েছে সংস্থাটি। তাই এটিকে স্বল্পমেয়াদি আকস্মিক বন্যা হিসেবেই দেখছে তারা।
The flood forecast and warning center said that the water level of some rivers in Sylhet will rise till Saturday as the rain continues. However, the organization has also predicted that the situation will improve after the water subsides. So they see it as a short-term flash flood.
