Let me tell you something… The secret of FC 25 and previous titles is simple: You can use any formation you want, but you’ll face tactics that counter yours because your players’ instructions aren’t working against your opponent’s tactics. However, if you adjust your players’ roles, without even changing your formation, you can regain the advantage on the pitch and dominate even experienced players. For example: I use a 4-3-3 flat, but against 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 Attack, I have extreme difficulties to play, so, I adjust the instructions for my midfielders or wingers, until I note my players making runs on their own and I'm able to punish my opponent's mistakes. All it takes is a simple change... I’m no Guardiola, I don’t adjust tactics knowing exactly what to change to exploit my opponent’s weaknesses. For me, it’s a shot in the dark! So give it a try.
