Most of that time was spent searching for old clips that would match up, man it is a drag digging through hard drives to find yourself drinking wine on a lawn mower!!!! ha ha My newest video on my channel was a record of 36 hours. Hot diggity dog Rus, this was so much fun making this video for your channel and I hope it does well for you!! Thank you for all the kind words and I hope all your viewers enjoy this one as much as I did making it!! Pellet grills IMO are the perfect cookers for beginners to get the feel for cooking up some epic backyard BBQ!! The learning curve is minimal and they are fun to operate!! Once some one gets the hang of rendering meat to probe tender it is really easy to step up their game and get into charcoal or wood cooking without all the frustrations that fire management can bring!! It was my pleasure to help you with this project and if any of you are reading this come on over to Dead Broke BBQ and check it out! I got more than just pellet grills and this year there will be some more live fire cooking pits adding to my backyard BBQ fun!! Have a great day and thanks for watching!!!

    To Whom it may concern: what is cost for fuel compared to charcoal with wood chunks. Example 12 hour pork butt what do you think cost of each fuel per hour. I find pellet grills interesting but a Lot of moving parts. Russ , Ricer.

    • @DeadBrokeBBQ
      @DeadBrokeBBQ 3 года назад +2

      Many variables in that question John, The brand of Pellets can make a difference. On Low N Slow cooks pellets really are efficient but when you crank it up to say 650° they burn a little faster than charcoal IMO. Low temps depends on cooker and temp but figure about 1-2 pounds per hour. High temps figure around 3-4 pounds and hour. Pit Boss 40lbs bags are around $15ish-Lumberjack Pellets 40lbs bags are around $25. I use many types but typically use Lumberjack because they make the smallest diameter pellet (5.5mm) and I feel they really run the best. There is certainly a different smoky flavor to pellet smoked BBQ, the best way I can explain it is "cleaner" flavor. A Kettle with charcoal and wood chunks will certainly have more smoke in that bite but we have all over smoked a few things in our past and that won't happen on a pellet grill. My Pellet Pro has an insert where you can add wood chunks to boost that smoky goodness and I absolutely love that accessory! The Heavy D can be added to other brands of pellet grills also! I hope this helps and remember Pellet Grills area convenience to your backyard bbq fun!!

      I will hopefully very soon! It's only weeks away now. You probably know that Covid impacted the original delivery date. Well that and Chris finding a much better company for the controller to give it life. It will be soon though.
