a friend recommended that i use a cheap mousse from walmart to refresh and redefine my synthetic wig. I have no idea why i got arroused by the sight of the mouse foaming, but I LOVED it. Alcohol and all. Then i tried it on my natural hair. Let ME tell YOU something.. bay-behh! my hair's never looked so juicy like this before. I'm currently using this in the winter, and even with the alcohol my hair feels SO moisturized, my kunte-kente textured hair, is so controlled, i didn't even think it was possible for me to have it so defined like this without a gel. So I attempted to find the "better ingredients" type of mousse out there like the creme of nature, the shea moisture ... you know the product line that is mostly marketed to us black women, but they are so watery, that it just makes my hair feel so sticky, gunky and gross. The mousse with the type of foaming you have in this video..the heavy foaming is what does the trick, I do have to consider that such consistency has ALOT of alcohol, so be mindful of that... but HEY!!! it's doing the trick! So to you all ladies (and gents) who have 4b, 4c, 5-infiinty, kunte-kente-type texture try this out. You might not be disappointed.
So glad I came across this video! I've done a dry refresh with mousse once or twice, but haven't been sure on exactly what I should be doing to make it work. I'm going to do it like in your video and see if it makes a difference!
You are so gorgeous and I like your personality so much, you come across as very sincere and not over the top like a lot of RUclipsrs. Thanks for your helpful vids. Subscribed🙃
this left a weird residue in my hair, i used in combination with shea moisture jamican black castor oil leave in on damp hair and cocunut oil..... i prefer the cantu mouuse. its less creamy and easier to use for braid/twist outs......ill try it next time for a wash and go
Wait do I have to wash my hair after applying it ? Like its ok to keep it on my hair for days i mean mine says it lasts 48hours ..after that i am not obligated to wash my hair or something right ?
I bought this mousse yesterday and then it occurred to me to look for reviews- thank you for yours! Did a wash and application and now letting it air dry so fingers crossed!
Mana xo Yeah I applied it to wet hair and let it air dry- my hair was very soft but was a bit more frizzy than usual. I think I’ll try again or use it in combination with my regular mousse.
Why does every curly girl use a damn diffuser!!! We want to stay away from heat don’t we? What does it do to the hair other than drying it? People you need to tell me should i waste more money and buy it? Honestly My hair got me broke
Yes but you can use the cool setting so that way you won’t be applying any heat . I have one and it’s a life saver my hair takes hours and hours to dry so the diffuser makes drying my hair a lot faster and it gives your hair a lot more volume.
gymnast27 I do the same or sit in my car and turn on the heater. Lmao I don’t diffuse because honestly my hair doesn’t come out right when I do. It’s frizzier actually. But it works for some people, just not for me.
Damn it! I walked with this mousse the whole store and didn’t get it! I’m going back now!
Aurora Mendoza I do this all the time I understand that!
I love using mousse. It makes my hair shiny and it doesn't leave my hair heavy and weighed down with product.
There’s no way I could ever brush through 4th day hair 😂😂😂

Awesome video! I will try on my hair soon. Could you do a makeup tutorial on your makeup? It's a great look!
Your curls look amazing! But that one creamy mouse by Suave I told you about curls GREAT, but I experience that same "film type feeling" on my hands!

Are you using when your hair is dry or wet?
Just found your channel! Your hair is so pretty, and a similar texture to mine 😊
Gorgeous curls
Does it leave residue?
Your hair is gorgeous

never heard of a mousse flaking real weird. but did the stickiness go away after it dried?
caramelized sugar yes I use it on my curly hair too and the stickiness goes away once it’s completely dried
Yep, the stickiness goes away.
But no flaking for me.
Wow!! Gorgeous!! ❤️
Zayam!! I'm going to try this now.

Abigail Barth hey can i know how it turned out?

I accidentally bought this to scrunch my hair but I didn’t realize it was for curly hair 😕 would it work on straight hair ?
Thank you I will try !
You look like Lisa Lisa from Cult Jam. You hair looks quite pretty.

Try appyling the hawaiian silky 3 in 1 over the mousse

Sometimes you want to speed up the drying process. I know if my hair is too wet and I leave the house and go outside I catch a cold lol
Yes but you can use the cool setting so that way you won’t be applying any heat . I have one and it’s a life saver my hair takes hours and hours to dry so the diffuser makes drying my hair a lot faster and it gives your hair a lot more volume.
I don’t use a diffuser. I may sit in front of my fan for an hour, if I’m going somewhere that requires me to care a little about my appearance.
You don’t use the heat setting when you diffuse. As long as you’re not directly applying heat to your hair - you’re good.
gymnast27 I do the same or sit in my car and turn on the heater. Lmao I don’t diffuse because honestly my hair doesn’t come out right when I do. It’s frizzier actually. But it works for some people, just not for me.
Yeah I love it to I have been using it for a like 4 months and I Love it
