Jesus I expected it to be maaaybe 230$ and was considering getting it - but OVER 700?? God damn there is just no way to justify this expense for me Unless you are rich, maybe
@kaslanaworld4746 it's still expensive it doesn't change the fact it's 700$ that's 2 or 3 moths rent in my country and that's a lot. Sure peole who buy 10 000$ pens dont think it's expensive but for normal person it is expensive
Honest question, new to fountain pens. Why is this pen worth ~ 20-30x other pens such as an Explorer or Safari? I’ve used both of those and been more than satisfied with writing, I’ve even tried a vanishing point, and wouldn’t say it’s writing is too much better, though the mechanism is nice and helps account that price difference; this pen however appears to be expensive for the sake of expense? Or is there more?
Nice pen with a significant change in design. I only wish they had included a steel nib option.

Not expensive compared to the $10,300 montblanc fountain pen

People spend money on hobbies, different strokes something something
@Kangaroojack1986 fair enough but 700$ is a lot in my country you can buy a car for that price
Since the nib is in a sailor housing, could it be swapped from a KOP to fit an EF?
tf is no buy january dude??
dunno

From what I understand its the Gold nib that really drives the price up along with the manufacturing the nib (whether its fine, stub or broad.)
It's functionally the same pen as a $300 Sailor Pro Gear. You're paying for the materials/finish and the fact it's a limited edition.
In January I bought a Vanishing point and Vertigris 743. Currently waiting for FPR extra fine ultra flex; all gold nibs. Enough already 😂
Hi tom i just bought a montegrappa venetuia inturqouise celluliod and its stunning
It has a full metal jacket
It is a stunning pen! Yet the price also stings 😅
No buy January? IS NO MORE
I've bought like 5 pens this month
