The locals, tourists, vendors, you name it, everyone goes. And the place can get pretty crowded too and the whole place can look hectic sometimes but if you don't mind any of that, the sunset is still worth it (unless it's raining..).

Laksa is a Malaysian dish. There are some 13-14 types of Laksa in Malaysia. The Singapore Laksa is a version of the Melaka Nyonya Laksa in Central Malaysia. Malaysians normally say, Kasih for short. Makasih is mostly Indonesian ✌️😊

idk which "we" you're referring to, maybe just your circle or only a certain race. but most people say terima kasih if they're Malaysian and knows/speaks Malay, and especially if a foreigner is being polite and try to say it too. some people make it cuter and baby-talk-ish like "maceh~"

Meanwhile, here in west sabah i only hear "Thank you" or Pounsikou, yet in KK, Tuaran, Tamparuli, KB, Ranau, Kgau, Tambunan, Tenom, Beaufort, Sipitang, KM, will say this word doesn't matter what race they are. Frankly, Bahasa Melayu is not my first language nor 2nd. ill be using my native tongue to speak at home and english outside and some Sabah Language.
Hope you have a good day in Sabah, the local vibe is very friendly towards tourist. They may engage with you without ill intentions just to say hi hope you dont mind but still be careful.
