Thanks guys, was an awesome day for us. We are hoping to maybe return there in the spring before the leaves grow and ask to search some more of the woods, there has to be more history left to find there. Good luck on your next hunt 👍
Yes it did. I was able to transition from the AT Max with no issues. The big difference is the speed of the new processor. The Manticore can filter through trashy areas and not drive me crazy with all the noise coming through my headphones. The 2D screen helps me decide whether to dig or let it be. (Reinforces tight repeating signals with a tight dot on the 2D screen. I am also getting more comfortable digging mid tones. Believe it or not, I find more interesting artifacts digging a mid-tone versus the high tones. The only downside that I see is the vast range of numbers the VDI numbers read. The machine is very sensitive to thickness of the metal in the ground which can change the VDI numbers drastically. The half real and my half dime came in with 50s VDI readouts. Turns out I was digging old silvers and had no idea when I was digging them up.
I am really impressed with how much Aaron has been finding since he switched over to using the Manticore and now has some hours swinging it. He's getting to be a sharp shooter with it in trashy areas. I am hoping to be able to make the switch as well for the beginning of 2024. It's an awesome machine. Thanks for watching and commenting on our video! 👍
Nice hunt fellas!! That first copper was a classic head Angelo. But all the same amazing finds! Back to back 1/2 reales!! I can’t sit and watch the rest of the video. I have to go out digging!!! 😂
You're right..I get confused with those early Large Cents sometimes. It is a classic head. I was just excited to be finding old coins ..lol. Thanks for watching and good luck 👍 😎
Thanks Matt! She asked if she could have it, absolutely no problem. Things like that can sometimes be tied directly to the family, and she is a descendant of the original family that settled the property. I thought it was cool for her to have something her relative could have lost there a century ago. We were just happy to be able to detect the place and find some amazing history!
Thanks for watching and subbing, appreciate it! That was definitely a fun day, never expected to find that old of a site there. Then again, you never know what you're going to run across..take care and good luck!
Yes, definitely a good tip! Also, I like to try to find out where the outhouse was and check the line from the nearest door to the outhouse..usually good for some old buttons or coins as well..👍 Thanks for watching!
I never thought I was going to see a real that day even after reading in the books about this location being one of the earliest settled in the county. Many thanks to Ang for coming to get me out of the back yard. (Only after pulling up 2 largies and 2 thimbles 😂). We really had a blast that day and many thanks for those who watched our videos!
Hey, I had to find a few goodies first before I let you in on the action with that Manticore!..😎🤣. I just enjoyed your reaction to finding those reales, nothing like a bucket list find and having a friend there to share it with! We find some amazing history together, looking forward to our next trip out..👍👍
I have hunted places like that as well, where I have found things even after multiple trips to the same location. That's why I don't shy away from places that were previously detected. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
You're right, it is a classic head large cent. I don't know why, but sometimes I get a little confused on those early ones..lol. Thanks for watching and commenting, appreciate it!

Aaron, I have to believe your Manticore made a real difference for you.

How about that, he pulls 2 of them out 1 after the other..lol. I'm still giggling over that..lol. Thanks again !
@nepahistoryandarchaeologys8623 incredible I would probably pass out if I found 1 let alone 2 so awesome
I've only ever found 1 since I started detecting, so he doubled my total in one shot..lol
When we do older houses, we look for a good spot for a clothes line would go, usually hit a line of coins and buttons

Nice work guys, nothing like poppin out a bucket lister. It’s weird how they come at you once you open the flood gates.
That's true..took me a couple of years before I ever found a large cent, now I find them regularly. Thanks for watching, and good luck!
A weekend is nothing, ive hit backyards for years and still pull good stuff out.
