So the anti cheat won't stop hackers but it will make in game bans more frequent so the whole match isnt f'd. Also it doesnt matter whether the game is free or not people are always going to hack. Just look at Rust and Dayz. They dont want to even try to learn how to get good and the cant accept losses what so ever so the rather cheat. They are essentially just the biggest Karen's of them all.
The engine of the game in vanguard will be physically unsucceptable to these forms of cheats. So big updates will be coming with a new map

I completely agree with Tim. There needs to be some kind of system that goes "OH....he has a 30KDR....probably should ban this guy immediately." But of course, Activision is going to wait until the new game comes out to release an anticheat even when PEOPLE HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT HACKERS FOR OVER A YEAR NOW.

The reason warzone is taking so long to implement an anticheat is because they know they will lose half of their player base lmfoa
And because console make things easier. With consoles you buy them, plug it in, connect to the internet, and your good to go. Plus you can walk into any major store with a proper tech department and get one. With PCs, the only place I can think of is Best Buy.
Not true at all. It feels like there is a lot of hackers but it only takes 1/150 players to ruin 149 games. There's actually not that many hackers, relativly... believe it or not blizzard is prioritizing stopping the hackers but the physical limitations of their engine is making it extremely hard to stop them. That's why they need a fresh rewrite with vanguard map.
Right not that many cheaters🙄 When I played this in beta I was already getting wallhacked etc this game is trash.

Tim and his boys talking about anticheat like it's gonna cure cancer makes me kinda sad honestly. I have seen game after game after game where people just hack even with an anticheat, it will stop some of them but not even close to all them. They will just hide it better and be little less obvious about it. That's it
Exactly. AC doesn't simply solve the problem by existing, it needs to be good and it needs to be constantly developed, just like an AV. You don't make cheating magically impossible, it's always just a matter of time before it gets defeated, by design.
If it's any good, cheaters will be gone for a month or two, but it's not gonna be over by no means. It's also very likely that they will just auto-ban people with ridiculous K/D or get more aggresive about banning players that get reported a lot and call it an AC. This would protect the lobbies with higher ranked players and because of that, it's going to be less noticed especially by streamers. The problem will seemingly be solved, and it's going to cost almost nothing (and don't forget, these games are made primarily for profit). Beginner lobbies will be a shitshow, though.
@@hovnocuc4551 cheaters will be back within a week or two. They won't be as obvious because most likely part of the anticheat will be flags, like people with more than 50 KDA or people who have higher than 90% HS or people how land more than 90% of the shots they take, or people whos average kill distance is > 300m. Stuff like that, so people will tone it down and be less obvious which makes most people feel like there aren't a lot of hackers, when there really really is. It's all a mind game honestly
Doesnt matter if they try to hide it thats not how a anti cheat works buddy, it will detect cheat programs running while you play, obviously it wont detect all cheats and the cheat it does detect they will just reprogram it so it wont get detected untill the anti cheat is upgraded and it will go on in this cycle forever, only good solution is to remove the free play for warzone or seperate the lobbies for those who bought the game and free to play then there will be a drastic decline in cheaters in the lobbies of the ppl who actual bought the game
@@welvendagreat3654 You are partially right. But they operate on multiple levels. They detect SOME cheats but usually just the free ones. They can catch the paid ones but the paid ones will catch back up, always and are usually always ahead. Then there is the manual review / flagging / user reports that many ACs have. This is what makes people play more conservatively.

if they added secondary models of players, that would randomly run around, that were invisible asset wise, but indistinguishable to code otherwise, they could easily ban hackers...

@@dijasom Would the CPU usage really increase if they placed those bots in when someone dies? Say 150 start, no ghost bots, someone dies they are replaced with one? Seems like it could be a decent way to ease the CPU usage and accomplish your idea. That seems like it would work to me.

The best thing about hackers is they actually pay money to still be bad at the game. They're not learning anything at all to help them get better so if and when an anti-cheat does actually come in, these will be the first guys to quit because they'll get shit on over and over and over again.

lol. raven has already made it so everyone they ban can't play again unless they get a completely new computer. it's straight up hardware ID banning people and spoofers don't work. their method of doing "ban waves" and manually banning each individual account that's sus will still be concurrent with the anti cheat that hopefully does what Tim says it should do in the video, send up red flags and autoban people with ridiculous stats or really sus gameplay, or even by detecting third party apps themselves. it's going to do wonders, trust

They just wont play for a week or so while the cheat programs are designed to get past the anti cheat. Just like antivirus can be by passed so can an anticheat.

I agree with Tim, there should be a KDR soft cap where if somebody passes the soft cap, they automatically get investigated by mods and admins/ or the just get outright banned for breaching that kind of level of a KDR. I'd say 50, but very rarely do people legit get that through various means like snipers. so maybe around 60-70 KDR.
Comical that Tim thought a so called anti-cheat was going to stop hackers. Now we have more cheaters in game then ever before.

Hey Tim, you’re right and I know an anti cheat really cannot come soon enough. But new machine learning based cheats are being developed and they will inevitably find a way around just about any anti cheat. It really sucks and makes me worried for the future of FPS games.

I quit the game awhile ago cause I realized the amount of hackers in the lobbies was crazy and you’d never realize it unless you watched them and for a long time I skipped killcams and left without watching the game through when I finally started looking I realized how bad it truly was not only in br but it was happening in multiplayer too

When a base lvl2 kills me with a headshot, and has 15 kills, and moves around a lot, im curious. Sure enough, 10 other spectators were to. He didn't even hide it anymore. He started hip firing and spinning around with an ots9, and literally killed 3 people within 5 seconds through walls and all..
