Railways at Margam 1998. Stored 56s and mainline 37/47/56/59s.

Starting with a panoramic view of Margam Yard taken from the sand dunes to the west of the depot. Quite a long walk but I feel worthwhile for this historic scene from 1998. Next Nick and I walk down to the fields adjacent to the M4 at Kenfig. At the time there was open access for cars to park but in 2021 the gate is now locked closed. On our way back to Cardiff we stop off at Llangewydd and St Fagans before taking the final clips from the old footbridge at Canton Depot. Both the footbridge and the number of stabled locos are once again, just fond memories from December 1997 and January 1998. So pleased I kept my old VHS tapes.
