This man is brave for conducting an interview with a monster.
Omg this comment made me belt out xD
Am a monster!!!!!!
BUNSTER!!
Hey Brother
operation: hot brother!
Hey Uncle Father Oscar...
**starts rubbing your shoulders**
hey possible nephew
😂😂😂😂😂
You never really realize the importance of a great interviewer until you see this guy. Paul F Tompkins is brilliant.
10:56 He totally went into Buster-Mode
He was just being himself i think which maybe had some resemblance to the buster character at that point
Tony is being a bit hyper sensitive
Tony Hale is probably the sweetest, nicest man in show business. i can just feel rays of love coming from him.
i can listen to him telling a story for hours
He is also incredibly funny!
that goes without saying!
+got2letudown that's why I love him! Plus his acting of course.
he a legend in your own mind
And not only is he nice, he looks like he would be a nice person as well
seeing him in real life just shows me he's an amazing actor
Well the blue on the map is obviously land...
Travis Aiken LOOOL
Hahahahaha
You are really gonna make a man who thought the blue on the map was land the president of the company. Do you know what I have had it with this family..
Fantastic interviewer. It's such a comfortable setting.
Damn this guy asks good, in-depth questions
"If you're not practicing contentment where you're at, you're not going to be content when you get what you want" So true, Tony. I went through this with my job, and it led to the worst bout of depression I ever had. Now I hear other people place all their hopes in one remote event or goal, and I feel for them. It's good to strive towards goals, but sometimes you've got to teach yourself to appreciate where you already are.
I agree it is good advice. Also easy to say once you've made it.
That bit and the "you've gotta wake yourself up many times a day" thing... I so needed to hear this.
@@joseph-zoramcbride4029 I'd say you're right but only since one has gained the thing they imagined they wanted only to be forced to confront the fact that it isn't.
A dream can just as easily be a nightmare
this interviewer is amazing i felt like i was listening in on just 2 old friends sharing a cocktail
Wow Tony Hale is not at all how I would expect him to be, just moved up in my favorite actors ranks
Tony Hale seems like such a fun giggly happy lovely person
THE HAND CHAIR!!!!
I'M A MONSTER!!!!!!!!
he's actually a really cool dude
HaProductions01 you two tight?
+Trane Sonic
Sometimes it is
hes drinking a grown up juice box!!!
@@Prokomeni you should be more respectful
You shouldnt say that i think and be more respectful
Ryan its a joke from the show how old are you.
Tony Hale is deep and poigniant. I love and have deep respect for him.
Lmao the irony that this was produced by handcraft xD oh buster
Peanutbutter Tompkins is one of my favourite interviewers. It's nice that quite a few people agree.
Anyone else getting "Ron Burgundy" from the interviewer?
What a lovely interview. Tony Hale is a delight and Paul F. Tompkins is an excellent interviewer- he kept the interview moving but didn't talk too much and was really warm. Subscribed.
This guy is a class act. Had the privilege of meeting him one time, and look forward to seeing him in season 5.
Mr. Peanutbutter interviews Buster Bluth. Comedic marvels.
It's so weird hearing him talk normally
gotta love tony hale, seems like such a sensible and pleasant human being, very real
He is so good at interviews like wow that was not expected.
Tony Hale is just so amazing. Loved this interview!
My fave part is Hale's apology for speaking over at the end. Adorable expression.
tony hale is great, and what a great interviewer! (really rare these days it seems), seriously, great job! well done.
"What's up with you, Paul? I never drank cubes." Dying.
Paul, I know this is several years later. But this series is incredible. You are an amazing interviewer. The setting is perfect, and your demeanor really puts people at ease. This venue and format is so much better than anything on late night television.
DOMO ARIGOTO MR. ROBOTO
I love Tony Hale , he seems like such a nice guy , and love Arrested Development too :)
I love Paul more than ever. Glad I caught onto this show late in the game. :) Lots of amazingly funny genuine interviews to enjoy. Tony Hale is the best. So humble and talented.
It's not everyday I watch an 18 minute video on RUclips. Great quality, great interviewer. Keep it up!
Great to finally watch a Tony Hale interview! We never hear much from him during AD cast ensemble panels. He's so thoughtful in his replies. Really pleasant to watch.
I love seeing these guys laughing together and cracking each other up.
wow. I was just interested in how Buster is in rl, but this interview is really great! Especially his comment on focusing more on the present! :)
one thing i love about arrested development is how they would load up the screen with sight gags, like the time they were doing an intervention for lucille and they all got drunk and then lucille walks in and buster waves at her from inside the fireplace.
One of the best interviews I've ever seen. Big props to Tony Hale for being a fantastic person. And big props to the interviewer I can't picture a better job than this.
that was an amazing interview
Their my awards mother...from army
Mr. Peanut Butter isn't a bad interviewer at all
+dmodmodmo Didn't even realise hahah
they should annimate these with a diffrent annimal for the interviewee each time and of course mr.Peanutbutter for Paul.
He's actually Orville Redenbacher's grandson.
dmodmodmo ohhh shittt!!!!!
The Buster/Gob/Tobias comedy ensemble are the 3 funniest characters together on any TV show, ever. But Arrested Development ALSO gave us George Michael, Maeby, George Sr, and Lucille. All super funny as well! And Michael Bluth -- a very funny character in his own right, but the lead/straight man -- tied them all together perfectly. Hardly ever found Lindsey funny; a lot of actresses could have played her (did like her chicken dance though). The rest were irreplaceable.
Agree, but I did like Lindsay and Portia's portrayal of her. She served as more of a conduit for a lot of Tobias' stories as well as some of Maeby's. I do think she was a necessary character and she did have quite a few funny moments
ps7556 i loved her trying to cry
I found Lindsey funny as hell
Love him in VEEP, my favorite character.
Let's get juiced. I love you baby Buster.
Paul's interviews are par excellence. Bring this show back!
I never really thought about it until now, but Tony Hale as Buster was probably the largest stretch as a performance in Arrested Development. And he executed it flawlessly.
Seeing him here, I would love to see him play a detached executive in something similar to Tom Cruise's role in Tropic Thunder. I could see him nailing it as Jeff Zucker in a recap of the new Late Night Wars covering Conan's stint on the tonight show. I could see him nailing Steve Ballmer if he beefed up a bit.
Yay for Tony Hale! Great comedian and great person!
Coolest interview I've seen in a while... Classy show man! I'm suscribed
"hey brother"
Travis Marx hey possible nephew.
ElRealPetChicken Hey, campers.
Sorry this is two years late, but my God off duty Tony Hale is so relaxed and cool and good looking! Actually I can't stand it! Thought he was a goofy, awkward guy like me who'd made good and a huge success, turns out he's just very good at imitating being a loser.
PopeLando I once saw him at the pool with his kids. It was extremely weird seeing Buster Bluth be such a good dad.
That Matt Damon story killed me.
"Oh, God, is this another one of those nights where nothing is as it seems and there's no cream pie for dessert?"
Tony Hale is awesome. Not only is he great to watch on screen, but he seems to be one of the most genuine, grounded people in Hollywood.
Love these interviews because it's not really an interview, it's a discussion. Much more interesting and so many awesome guests.
14:11 That fantastic coach in LA Tony mentions would be Diana Castle and her "Imagined Life."
Fantastic interview
glad to see he grew his hand back
I love Tony hale so much! What a treat to be randomly recommended this - with the king Paul F. Tompkins! Love Tony as Buster & also Gary on Veep. Love Paul in Bojack Horseman and as my fave guest on the Off Book podcast ❤
Such a delightful interview!
GREAT conversation, guys!!!
"If youre not practicing contentment where youre at, youll never feel content when you have what you want"
A lesson EVERYONE should hold on to
This was a really enjoyable interview. I especially liked the bit of wisdom about future contentment depending on present contentment.
First time I saw his acting was in Chuck, and even as an antagonist, I just couldn't but love his comedy. One of my all time favorite actors!
BUSTER! I'm lighting up
Malory Acher Is Malory Acher the actress who plays Lucille Bluth?
These speakeasy interviews are so great.
love that any excuse and the blue cubes story comes out....still gold
Great interview, really good stuff. Devoid of Hollywood fluff. AD fan coming late to VEEP, and I have to say Tony Hale is once again a highlight of the show. JLD is amazing, and Tony is playing on yet another level.
always cool to see buster acting like a real men.
When Tony gets to the real talk, he sounds so freakin' genuine and honest. When Tony wants to goof around, he's the funniest man alive.
I love this man.
Very entertaining interview!
So funny! One of your. Best interviews!
Amazing interview. subscribed.
It's hard to describe how amazing Season 4 is. I believe that it needs to be watched all at once, or with a strong understanding of the story as it unfolds. Arrested Development has always been a show that has rewarded it's fans with hilarious, well-hidden jokes that tend to reveal themselves over time, and Season 4 continues with that, but also adds jokes that are layered concurrently among the episodes. If you were someone who loved the original seasons and watched them over and over, enjoy.
Wow, the interviewer is really good! Great questions, nice ability to go with the flow, very good sense of humor.
All Hale Buster!! The interviewer is genuinely interested in what Tony has to say. Brilliant interviewing skills, great questions and able to improvise on the fly.
Buster Bluth and Mr Peanut Butter! What is this a crossover episode?
Paul F. Tompkins is a fucking saint!
Fuck me; I didn't know just how much I liked him until I checked him on IMDB.
It is so weird seeing Tony Hale as himself and not a sniveling manchild. Just shows what a great actor he is.
It's so strange hearing Mr. Peanutbutter interview someone.
Yes! I couldn't place where I knew that voice from. Thanks other grown-up!
They could have called this show "Hollywoo Stars and Celebrities: What Do They Know? Do They Know Things? Let's Find Out!"
Carson Miller I like your style.
Omgggggg I never would have figured that out!!!
What is this? A crossover episode?
I very much like tony Hale but i ve also learned to like this great interviewer. Subscribed.
I usually can't watch interviews all the way through, especially after the part in interested in. This one was great.
Oh my god Paul asked about the Matt Damon gel cubes. I love that story from his stand-up. This makes me so happy.
really great questions
Paul is a PHENOMENAL interviewer. He eloquently articulates meaningful questions that his guests clearly want to answer as opposed to the mundane crap you get from late night television.
Wow. Very wise words from Tony.
Love the show ! great interviewer good job !
Love AD!!! I will keep buying and watching everything from the series:-)
Paul and Tony, I love you both!
And now we have paul rudds moustache'd brother interviewing buster
Paul F Tompkins possesses some of the most dazzling interview skills. His poise blows me away.
....and this is why we need the robot president.
This guy seriously interview my favorite actors.
great interview. save baby buster!
Magnificent, as ever.
Both are my kind of guys...
This was a great discussion, even if you had no idea who either of them were! But especially if you do.
Tony is just amazing!
Wow that was really good
