❤ We adopted our special needs Daughter-from a horrific orphanage in a former Soviet State when she was 8 years old.
She could not speak a word of English EXCEPT for the lyrics to EVERY single New Kids song!
(the highly abusive staff was of age that New Kids was hugely popular with them and they played their music all day and night in this Dickens novel horror show place where kids were dumped)
She had the biggest crush on Donnie Wahlberg and came to America just in time to watch Donnie star in “BLUE BLOODS” on television.
Donnie warmed this little girl’s heart without ever knowing how much of a difference he made to a little girl halfway around the world.

I lost it when they were rocking the same clothes they wore from their Hangin' Tough 1990 concert! Talk about a nostalgia trip there! That was awesome!

Really? What sources prove that? I'm not questioning you saying that, but that is something that I have thought and I tried to find information about it, but I couldn't really find anything about it. I do know that right now, because of all their earnings, they don't really even have to work in order to make ends meet, they just kind of work for the fun of it and they are earning *a lot* 💰 💰 from it. Something many of us _still_ hope to achieve.

I didn't even know Donnie was on Blue Bloods. I was born in 96, so I missed some of their stuff, but being a fan of Blue Bloods really makes me like Donnie even more. Their song summertime had been my favorite since I was a kid though

Seen them in concert 3 times now (Wembley Arena, O2 Arena, Hammersmith Appollo/Eventim ) and met them at a VIP event before one! BEST. DAY. EVER! Will forever remember the day I discovered them as they danced on the stage and into my life on TV at the Smash Hits Poll Winners on BBC 1 in 1989! 1989-forever!!!

NO. The 90's were dark, hardcore and ARTISTIC(Nirvana, Death Row, etc) until this crap arrived towards the end of the decade. Wannabe soul singers with no real rhythm. Even suburban white kids in the 90's knew this shit was horrible. I remember people clowning. And no they were NOT "hating" . The worst part of the 90's were the softies born during the decade. I love how older boy bands all get along so well, a lot of boy bands now don't respect each other, some even smack talk older boy bands when the older groups paved the way for the younger generations.
OG boybands had their fair share of drama in their day. Some reconcile, some don't.
You also have to remember that these boy bands from the 90's didn't have the same social media aspects that bands do these days and so there was a lot less drama visible to us

BTS are a South Korean group made up of 7 members: Jin, Namjoon (RM), Yoongi (Suga), Hoseok (J-Hope), Jimin, Taehyung(V) and Jungkook.
Their band is called Bangtan Sonyeondan which translates to Bulletproof Boy Scouts. Their English band name is Beyond the Scene.
They write and produce their songs. They have quite a few albums and the most recent one, Love Yourself: Answer topped US charts and many other charts around the World.
Their music genre is not limited, they have pop, dance, rap, ballads and they give socially conscious messages through their songs ( about self love, mental health, etc..).
And that is why their music is loved by millions of people. The lyrics are meaningful and captivating.
Last September, they spoke at the United Nations about overcoming insecurities and urged young people to do the same and speak themselves.
They are the first korean act to perform a US stadium show (Citi Field) which was sold out in minutes. They recently broke sales record for their stadium tour ticket sales. They sold out Wembley Stadium London in 90 minutes.
They were also invited at the Grammys because their album Love Yourself: Tear was nominated for best recording package. They also presented an award.

I went through high school in the early 1990s listening to their music. Can’t believe we’re pushing 50 now. A couple of things have happened since the late 1980s: the Yankees and the Red Sox have both won a few World Series titles.
