Carl you did an excellent job designing this pack. Outstanding work! You've come a long ways since your thread injector days :) can't wait to see what's next.
Man... I remember Mystery Ranch giving most of that performance capability over a decade ago to a different user group. I commend you guys on the improvements for the hunting public, all of it makes a lot of sense. I do have my reservations about the elastic longevity, season over season, especially with it featured on the outside of the pack.
Wished it had a sturdy supportive waist belt. I don't understand why it isn't important for you. You get that loaded down and that waist belt really helps on long hikes. I would have bought it if it had the good waist belt since it does not I think I will stay with current pack.
If you’re prior Military just add the “Molle II Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment Waist Pack”. It has large waist strap buckles. FYI Tethrd this is something to look into!! I use it to hold my sticks as well.
So you built and designed a pack for saddle hunters, who inherently carry sticks and platforms, and you didn't include a single strap on the pack? We have to buy a separate 6-piece compression strap system? Are you kidding me.
And no waist belt. I get you can use one of their straps like they’re showing but the reality is that waist belts make all the junk we carry feel way less heavy. If they want it to be removable at least design an actual waist belt that comes on and off but include it don’t charge extra. Just my opinion.
Great looking pack. Looks almost perfect. I'm 50/50 on the waist belt. I know a lot of people are shocked it doesn't come with one but, in my experience it tends to get in the way when trying to haul up a tree. But would be great fr hiking in. I also dislike a ton of wait on my shoulders. In. perfect world a removable wait belt would be amazing, but when the pack is already at $400 (not including the predator pack). I'm sure a waist belt would have jacked the price even higher out of the majority of hunters budgets. As far as the price, I almost choked, cried a little and closed the browser. I wont hate on it thought. They set a goal to make it American made because that's important to them. Props to Tethrd for that. Unfortunately very far out of my price range for the foreseeable future. This would have made a great deer & turkey Hunting/day-hiking/photography outing carry on backpack. Maybe one day.
By god, you might have done it. You might have just made the perfect day pack. I will agree with others that a waist strap is definitely missing here. I want that weight to ride on my hips as much as possible. Nevertheless, I may be sold on this pack right out the gate.
Yeah I don’t like having a waist strap when I’m wearing my saddle in. Too much hip pressure then. But the low profile strap add one may be nice. It too bulky.
I’m a big guy not fat but big 300lbs, I use climbers … but wanted to get into the saddle game … what would you recommend…for some one like my self …I want to buy the whole shooting match from you
It’s cool and all that it’s set up with the guys wanting to film every single hunt they do… but those side pockets would’ve been better off not being on there and have it set up to carry sticks on each side without a pocket in the way
Anybody out there using this pack yet? I'm looking for a one and done whitetail saddle Hunter pack. Anybody out there have experience with all the different ones that can verify this one is the best? I don't mind spending the money but I don't want to have the next best thing come out in a few months and wish I would have saved my money.
I'd love love love to have this, but it is useless to me at only 1000 cu in.. Even with the additional molle pouches. I'm an Appalachian mountain hunter and have to pack clothes in. I can't even consider this until the main body is at least 2000 cu in.. It's not a criticism, just a fact. Maybe the Faspack 2.0 will be offered in a bit larger size. If so, it's mine.
So you designed a great backpack for hunters that has absolutely nothing geared towards saddle hunting! Your pack is nothing any different than any pack that I want to buy and customize for saddle hunting....great product I will never buy because it doesn't help me saddle hunt without spending even more money on your products.....

Great looking pack with some great features. Appears very thought out by a true saddle hunters.

Awesome looking pack, looks like a lot of thought went into this pack. Looks like I’ll be making another purchase, lol.
Got mine today. Didn't find any surprise behind the leather patch
Gotta get it!.. Well done fellers.

Exactly
Mystery Ranch for the win...even though they are not made in the US

Did Aaron Snyder and the folks from Kifaru play any part in designing this? Has a lot of the same features as Kifaru packs.
Wondered the same myself. The compression kit, design, and especially the loop tabs all seem Kifaru-like. Looks like a solid pack.
Kifaru definitely designed the pack they ripped off. It’s called the Shape Charge.
Crushed it Carl!

Great pack but going to add to those asking the question on where the waist belt is?

Did you ever get into a saddle?
The real question is when is it available for purchase?
So all the materials used in making this pack are USA sourced?
Looks like a great bag and exactly what im looking for....but come on guys....400 bucks....even tho its American made thats gouged way too high.....
I wanna see a video of it holding a bow!!!
Several of us strapped bows to it while using ebikes this year. Worked pretty
Good! We might make a video on how to do it 👍🏻
Thanks guys. God Bless
