Dangersense is a LIFESAVER, and Warding on everything is always the way to go. 2. Assume EVERYTHING can kill you, even if you're post Moon Lord, and deal with each obstacle one at a time! If you keep your distance and your health topped off, you should be fine, but never underestimate the power of a simple Skeleton or a few Slimes. 3. Always keep a pressure plate on hand! Pressure plates are wiring items, so if you hold one, you can see all traps and are never caught off guard. A good budget option until you get Dangersense and/or Grand Design! 4. Don't do the dungeon Prehardmode. Cobalt Shield is amazing and the knockback immunity is amazing, but wait until you have Adamantite armor before doing so. 5. I find the safest method of getting through the Early Hardmode phase you died at is... what you were doing! Fish, fish, fish. Getting crates is the safest way to get geared up, and the best way to take the mech bosses is with Adamantite (Ranger). The only issue you had was there was a space for enemies to get through, take care of that then your strat is seamless. 6. Don't hesitate to grind for accessories such as the ice turtle shell, which is a great component for a great shield later on. Ankh Shield is a good accessory too, but it's by no means required, and it can take too long and be too risky sometimes. 7. The first Mech boss you should fight is the Destroyer, and how I do it is I get Daedalus with Holy Arrows (Still the best weapon even post nerf), and build a platform that he can't quite reach with barriers on each side to block probe blasts. The key to the fight is PATIENCE! Burn the probes whenever you see one, THEN fire at the boss. If the platform turns out to be in the wrong spot, get Destroyer to despawn then try again. Even if you doubt the platform a LITTLE bit, don't take the risk, just reset to avoid losing the run. 8. After Destroyer is dead, craft the Hallowed Repeater and use Ichor arrows to take out the Twins. I find the best strategy is to build a platform in the sky all the way across the world made out of asphault with two wooden platform layers above it, 6 blocks inbetween. Just run and dodge while shooting, same armor. 9. After the Twins you might be able to afford full Hallowed armor, if so, craft it. The dodge it offers makes it by FAR the best set in Hardmode, I use it up to Moon Lord. 10. Skeletron Prime fight is really just the same strategy you use for Skeletron, spin to win. Just circle him and use Holy Arrows until all limbs are gone, then switch to Ichor Arrows. 11. After then, to be honest, the risky parts are mostly over! The Plantera strategy you've used in the past works seamlessly, and Golem is... Golem... 12. Don't fight Empress of Light in Hardcore, maybe try it after Moonlord with Vortex armor for an extra bonus fight for beating the run. 13. The hardest part of Hardmode is the pillars. Honestly, just sit at the edge of the pillar spawn zone and lure a few mobs out at a time to kill them safely. The easiest is Stardust pillar because you can just kill cells and wait for them to regen for infinite kills. After that point, just burn down the pillar. Use the stardust dragon summon to help, having a summon active NEVER hurts. The rest of the pillars are just luring out enemies and killing them systematically, then burning down the pillars as quickly as possible. I find using Cosmic Car Key helps with mobility, but don't use it against solar. Don't go in the air for Solar pillar much, because that's when the Crawltipedes get you. 14. And for Moon Lord, honestly the easiest boss of the run if you use a good strategy. Mine is this: I craft the Daybreaker and wear full Hallow Melee armor, and then use the Mech cart on a minecart platform across the sky and shoot the Daybreaker at the Moon Lord until he dies. Make sure to build sections where you bounce OVER the Moon Lord at each end of the world, or he'll catch you, some clever hammering will do it. You can make it work pretty easily. As someone who’s beaten hardcore master mode, I can confirm it is very painful, the latest point i’d ever lost a character before beating the game was in the post plantera dungeon, killing plantera in master mode is like entering hardmode all over again, almost everything will 2 shot you. Also I didn’t actually fish for hm ores, instead I was just always ready to recall, used any invisibility or calming potions I could, and got the bare minimum of each ore required. A tip for if you ever do mine, until post mechs hell is probably one of the far safer biomes in hm. Also I can relate to dying to an explosive trap in the jungle, it was actually my first every post queen bee death, very sad. Hope you beat it! It feels a whole lot more worth it once you have.
Post-one mech* if you mean lava bats and red devils Also you actually needn't to go into dungeon after Plantera, if you got the keys just make the safe tunnel
Hey gugnir, figured id give some tips that I use in hardcore: when in a fishing safe box, only make a 1 block hole to let the fishing line out and stand a few blocks away from it, this will stop enemies from getting in and projectiles wont hit you. I also recommend getting a whip loadout with the spinal tap and a crystal vile shard or it's pre-hm counterpart. Very usefull for farming from a safe place without getting hit. whips can hit through walls if there is a small one block gap that and the whip is swung through it( this is hard to pull off and incosistent tho). Great vid as always.
Agreed with the fishing. But instead of having a 1 block gap for farming enemies, why not just use a hoik with a ranged weapon for the extra security (I don't know if whips are compatible with hoiking, but it's worth a shot.)?
@@ZudinGodofWar all you have to do is stand in a box with lava underneath you or with minions outside and swing a flail around or you could use an inferno potion to block all the projectiles.
You're my favorite terraria youtuber btw, I really like your commentary style, and you don't do any pet peeves that irk me I notice in other youtubers.
Some early game tips if u find a gravity potion u can raid the floating islands early for a starfury/fledgling wings making the early grind a bit easier Early game underground ice zone if ur strip farming is the easiest cuz worms rarely spawn and ice bats glow to show u where openings are
Tip: you can actually fish trough a one block wide gap, you have to stand on top of it and you have to place your cursor in a weird way (depending if the gap is on the left or in the right of the player)
always make the bottom entrance two tiles wide, or maybe even have a one tile block to cast your line and a more secure entrance in particularly hostile scenarios. I learnt this the hard way, and now so have you.
3:24 Yes, my first Queen Bee fight... I had 20 defense (expert mode summoner playthrough, only a snapthorn and finch to my name), and saw that 1 charge hit whacked my health from 400 to about 310. I realised I wasn't ready and used a magic mirror. But the boss bar didn't go away. I looked at the map, thinking it was a bug and then BAM! She was already past the jungle, about 460 blocks away in the desert, I closed the map and she arrived not 10 seconds later, and those stingers may as well have been Duke Fishron's bubble attack.
master mode wof is easier if you use necro armor and hellwing bow as well as terraspark boots, fledgling wings, brain of confusion/worm scarf, obsidian shield (to prepare to get ankh shield in hardmode, band of regeneration, healing potions, imp staff, the buff potions of your choosing, and lastly get the exquisitely stuffed buff from your choice of food item (i'd recommend burgers, as they don't waste golden critters and can be farmed pretty easily)
My first best attempt of hardcore master ended at martian invasion, I got really surprised by the saucer you can't hide from. Second best attempt was sweaty at the moonlord but I got out victorious. Good luck in your attempts!
Ouch, that ending. I would have just fished through a single block though, cause master mode hardcore is so creepy. Furthest I've gotten, is just before WoF, haven't dared try beating it, never felt ready enough, I like your bee strategy though.
Furthest I got too. Died finishing the hellevator when my imp minion summoned the wall which I never considered, and I didn't know you can't teleport home. Died in the desert underground very stupidly after getting back to 400 hp. Decided the map was no longer hardcore, I forgave the first oversight. Only boss other than the wall I didn't do was the golem I think. Also I too fish like a coward, say early game in the mushroom biome or something, I was thinking the same thing, single block hole is enough. I can confirm the bees, bow, summon beeswax set, wasps and the accessory that improves friendly bee damage worked great for skeletron. I think imp staff may have been better cuz wasps are not bees though, not sure. Skeleton was too fast for my liking the one time I had faced him, so I went minion to focus on moving. Think it could shred the wall with the accessory, just the bow and nades.
I've not played this game in quite awhile but I feel the pain. I once choked on a expert mode, hardcore yo-yo only run fighting Moon Lord. over thirty hours down the drain. Eventually I got it done though. Keep it up, there is something rather satisfying about hardcore runs in this game. Maybe I should reinstall and give mastermode a go.
But it’s a hardcore run, a bed wouldn’t be useful in an arena since you can’t respawn. And there would be no need to teleport to a new arena to heal because why would you start a boss fight without full health
@@DantheManZ-wn6zg u can mm, or recall to a bed, and also if u get low you can Tele to the second arena and use natural heals like honey, campfires, heart lanterns, ect while the boss is flying to you. It's an easy way to get some breathing room.
Congratulations on making it this far Gungnir! One tip I had to learn the hard way is: Make a Grand Design. It allows wires to be seen and edited anywhere on screen.
As an avid fisher, I saw your end the minute I saw your fishing platform. You figure out pretty quick the standard fishing platform won't work in the jungle. You pretty much have to block off the entire lake so tortoises can't get in the water.
While I was watching the queen bee fight, I remembered that the meteor armor buff for the space gun, can be applied to the zapinator. At least the last time I checked
The fact that u made it that far in 26 hours is really surprising. I've done a run called sashcore which is 0 armor 100 life runthrough with many limited things and it took me roughly 2k hours to just to get to post skeletron prime. and 3k hours just to finish the run.
I tried hardcore on the "Drunk seed" (Cause it's really easier to get plant seeds) and Plantera is horrible, my advice: "make your Plantera arena around 6 queen bee arenas sizes"
The legendary warrior, the one who went deep into hell and destroyed gluttony itself, defeating powerful monsters with a powerful sword, shredding through the most dangerous world and completely dominating it, got vored by a tortoise while looking for fish.
Tip if you ever found a dead man's chest check for dynamites underneath, break it then box yourself in with the chest using blocks so you wont get hit by boulders and dart
I feel like if big servers are a thing, QB is a massive troll. Someone could summon it while others are farming or decorating or whatever, then accidentally die or intentionally leave the world. QB doesn't despawn and didn't kill everyone in the world so she'll go after a random player, likely one who isn't prepared for her. Could you imagine fishing and seeing "Queen Bee has awoken" and figuring "Oh, someone's just farming. Maybe for Bee Armor." only to then see "Troll has left the game" then having an angry royal bee trying to murder you? Like, bruh, I was minding my own business. XD

A little over an hour building an artificial biome to farm an item only to have the item drop as you place the last few blocks. That's how farming in terraria usually goes for me.

btw the wall of flesh instakill happens in any difficulty (at least on mobile), I used to play terraria with my sister and this happened to me when I tried to recall from the wall
What I do is put some solid blocks below where U fish to have the security that nothing can go in and attack me. Now that I've beaten hardcore expert, it's time for me to suffer with hardcore master.
Spelunking may be safer than fishing, considering how this ended. While spelunking you have your weapon ready at all times and hopefully a weapon good enough to knock the enemy away from you. Also you have your recall potion on 9? I don't know what you are used to but it seems inconvenient. I have mine on 0 (to scroll) or 3 (easiest button to reach). You are brave taking the queen bee before molten armor. I didn't do that.
I've been playing Hardcore Master a lot as of late and I've never felt safe enough to try any boss fights. I DO allow myself "Save & Exit" cheese but Recall potions are pretty plentiful with even just a little bit of exploring so the past couple of tries I've eased up a bit on the "Save & Exit" and instead been hotbarring Recall Potions. The ONE bit of cheating I've allowed myself is I have a copy of the base character files that has a pressure plate I grabbed from an older world. No other items, no upgrades, just a simple Gray Pressure Plate. I died to far too many cheap traps so now I just hold the plate for a moment to check for wires as I progress through a cave. It also means I don't have to remake the character every time, just copy the files over and get back to it. After I remake the world, because I'm also deleting the world the character died in and making a new one each time. Blank seed, random evil. My last run had been going so well but I got killed by a jungle slime before I could recall out. Thanks for the video, hope you have better luck next time.

If a goblin army occurs he still has to worry about the summoners and the sorcerers
@@coppertuna1252 that might work actually i should try that.
@@Birdbrain-ss7np did it work
You're my favorite terraria youtuber btw, I really like your commentary style, and you don't do any pet peeves that irk me I notice in other youtubers.
Some early game tips
if u find a gravity potion u can raid the floating islands early for a starfury/fledgling wings making the early grind a bit easier
Early game underground ice zone if ur strip farming is the easiest cuz worms rarely spawn and ice bats glow to show u where openings are
Tip: you can actually fish trough a one block wide gap, you have to stand on top of it and you have to place your cursor in a weird way (depending if the gap is on the left or in the right of the player)
10:07 axe: *is in hell*
also axe: "this is perfect chopping weather"
always make the bottom entrance two tiles wide, or maybe even have a one tile block to cast your line and a more secure entrance in particularly hostile scenarios.
She was already past the jungle, about 460 blocks away in the desert, I closed the map and she arrived not 10 seconds later, and those stingers may as well have been Duke Fishron's bubble attack.
this was amazing dude- great job!
That casual Turtle evisceration was PAINFUL
master mode wof is easier if you use necro armor and hellwing bow as well as terraspark boots, fledgling wings, brain of confusion/worm scarf, obsidian shield (to prepare to get ankh shield in hardmode, band of regeneration, healing potions, imp staff, the buff potions of your choosing, and lastly get the exquisitely stuffed buff from your choice of food item (i'd recommend burgers, as they don't waste golden critters and can be farmed pretty easily)
You're a mad lad. I'll be very much anticipating more of this run!
For fishing, you can make a safe box by hammering a couple of blocks to make a very narrow tube for the bobber and only the bobber to fit through
3:18 from my experience in my master world with Queen bee, I would agree that she scary
Damn, this really hurt at the end, little tip, still fish in hard mode but if it’s in the jungle or caverns sleep till the next day for a new quest
My first best attempt of hardcore master ended at martian invasion, I got really surprised by the saucer you can't hide from. Second best attempt was sweaty at the moonlord but I got out victorious. Good luck in your attempts!
Martian madness is useless especially on hardcore
Ouch, that ending. I would have just fished through a single block though, cause master mode hardcore is so creepy.
Furthest I've gotten, is just before WoF, haven't dared try beating it, never felt ready enough, I like your bee strategy though.
Water Bolt also does some good work against WoF. Launch it at the ceiling for a good angle of attack.
You dont do the maximum amount of difficulty, you need to use the "for the worthy" seed, then you are truly a master.
For queen bee you can make a second arena with a bed ( Also in the jungle ) so you have a second to heal before the queen bee can get to you.
@@EnvyyTouchedMe Tru Tru
man I remember watching your old videos where it was some guide for a weapon with the kevin Macleod music in the background, you've come a long way
So glad I can catch up on content I missed out from the livestreams I couldn't catch
Me who can’t even beat classic mode on easy without dying:
“Looks easy enough”
You just should prepare.
Congratulations on making it this far Gungnir!
One tip I had to learn the hard way is: Make a Grand Design. It allows wires to be seen and edited anywhere on screen.
if you didnt see he had one when he died lmao
@@nothinghere5080 No I didn't 😛
As an avid fisher, I saw your end the minute I saw your fishing platform. You figure out pretty quick the standard fishing platform won't work in the jungle. You pretty much have to block off the entire lake so tortoises can't get in the water.
This guy is going to keep terraria alive
I don’t think a top 10 best selling game of all time needs to rely on a guy who barely uploads to survive
Games pretty boring most of the time so I'd agree
Even harder: hardcore, master mode and 200% zoom on getfixedboi
2:58 yep…. once it one shotted my character with endgame gear (solar armor) no joke those things are…
6:55 brain of confusion was super clutch with the confuse
This man worked so hard he deserves so more likes
While I was watching the queen bee fight, I remembered that the meteor armor buff for the space gun, can be applied to the zapinator. At least the last time I checked
I've never played a game on a difficulty level other than the hardest and it seems to me that it's some kind of mental illness
The fact that u made it that far in 26 hours is really surprising. I've done a run called sashcore which is 0 armor 100 life runthrough with many limited things and it took me roughly 2k hours to just to get to post skeletron prime. and 3k hours just to finish the run.
no way it took that long!
You forgot another luck factor- the chance to dodge from the Brain of Confusion.
If that had've proc'd, you would've been 100% fine
I tried hardcore on the "Drunk seed" (Cause it's really easier to get plant seeds) and Plantera is horrible, my advice: "make your Plantera arena around 6 queen bee arenas sizes"
Now beat calamity in malice mode hardcore
i gave this a try. detahmode Hardcore 1.4.7. died to hardmode :D Still impressive and on first try.
Gungnir and Yrmir Rhymes so.. They are brothers :>
The legendary warrior, the one who went deep into hell and destroyed gluttony itself, defeating powerful monsters with a powerful sword, shredding through the most dangerous world and completely dominating it, got vored by a tortoise while looking for fish.
7:00 omg that made my heart stop imagine if all his efforts went to waste
I'm just here to boost early engagement, your videos are really good.
happy to see another gungnir upload :) great vid as usual
Don't feel bad about the dynamite trap, I've had 2 dozen-hour hardcore runs ended by those. An invisible instant 400 damage is a bit dumb imo.
XD
if you fish in the junble do a 1 block gap or 2 like that turtle cant hurt you
Gungnir: "That trap can deal up to *500* damage."
Me: *thinks of the 500 cigarettes meme
Despite it being short this was entertaining to watch. Should upload the next attempt as a series.
Oof this is his latest upload? You're amazing dude keep it up!
Hey man you should do a vods channel so everyone can watch the full stream before the edited version.was thinking about this when I was watching your masochist mode playthrough, hilarious btw but I sooo wanted to see every detail of the adventure, alas there was no such channel plus it’s extra views so I don’t see why not.
Gungnir: fights boss
Lucy the axe: Hehehe.. Chop Chop Chop
Gungnir: *plays as ranger*
Other youtubers: *play as summoner because of the low defense
I like how he talks about his bad bezor luck but in my original main world i looked for weeks of time spent searching, not including any time not spent actively looking and never found one
You’re patience is immeasurable
You are a legend amongst terraria players ! Keep it up and better luck next time :)
bro I quite literally gasped when that tortoise hit, I feel so bad all that progress omg
someone predicted the queen bee dying to zapinator in comments lmao
Now hear me out, "Terraria, but I can only use NPC's""
You are absolutely my favorite creator
As wise youtuber Agressive Bungee once said "the zapinator is not okay".
i know the feeling. I've made it up to planterra on hardcore mastermode then died to chattering teeth bomb after feeling pretty confident i'd do it this time. Safe to say I haven't gone back since that death
you can see both the tortoise and the pixie on the left are confused at that moment
pixie: yo wtf dude, how did you one shot the guy?
tortoise: I, I'm not really sure, but, hey I did it!
meanwhile the Arapaima in the water:
Arapaima1: damn bro got the moves, did you see that?
Arapaima2: I did, that was hot
“Nothing can go wrong if your just fishing right.” Famous last words
Why did you make the opening so big!!! Lmao nuuuu you can fish out of a one block gap.... dang that was good tho gg can't wait for the other one
Recently beat my first hardcore playthrough. Only on classic but I'm still pretty proud of that.
you can fish out of a 1 block wide, or rather you can get the fishing bobber out with just a 1 block wide space... hope this helps
Meanwhile I lock myself in to be protected during fishing on normal playthroughs just in case the crab decides to turn on me
A little over an hour building an artificial biome to farm an item only to have the item drop as you place the last few blocks. That's how farming in terraria usually goes for me.
Reminding me of how my furthest hard-core run ended when a spider gave me the cursed debuff and killed me while I was collecting souls of night for destroyer 😞
I could just feel the fucking nerve that specific turtle had even tho he was the same as every other turtle in the game
Y'all ever find it odd when creators say "we", I get that they're trying to make the viewers feel included, but it's hard to unhear it once you've noticed how much they say it.
It's just a habit
Love the videos, keep it up, you inspired me to pick up terraria again.
btw the wall of flesh instakill happens in any difficulty (at least on mobile), I used to play terraria with my sister and this happened to me when I tried to recall from the wall
Hey gun the hardest difficulty is legendary mode.
What I do is put some solid blocks below where U fish to have the security that nothing can go in and attack me. Now that I've beaten hardcore expert, it's time for me to suffer with hardcore master.
Took you three attempts to get into HM? That is actually insane dude, because most ppl make it to HM on their 10th attempt
What you should've done is made a layer of blocks below the platforms so you can freely throw beenades
This is going to be insane to watch!
Hardcore master mode for the worthy but you start with nothing and chat can influence the game in minor ways. Thats a video id love to see.
2:50 This has happened to me quite a few times in my hardcore runs, it sucks...
This proves that high defense in prehardmode does wonders
One i found a trap seeable from the aboveground lol
