I actually got hit by this. I invaded a player who was spamming Sacred Flame, and not knowing about this glitch, I let myself get cocky, and got hit by it. Bam. Barbecued Onion.

While this glitch does do absurd amounts of damage, I wouldn't mind it if spells like Sacred flame had a bit more Oomph behind them. I mean for the amount of time you spend telegraphing that attack, It *should* have some serious payoff.

i guess you are not good at using it i use this all the time in PvP because people are shit at darksouls. (there is that elitist attitude amirite?) But if you are good its pretty easy to use i dont even use iron flesh and still connect my sf 80-90% of the time. versus how many black serpant or chaos bed vestige the average pyromancer throws out 80% isnt a bad ratio to land these things

The real Sacred Flame should be nearly as devastating, maybe not quite as powerful as the glitched version. In its current state it's way too weak for what it is; a melee grab with a tell that leaves you extremely vulnerable. It should come at least close to a one-shot in PvP on a player-character.
+TerraMantis If you actually spec for pyromancy it can hit over 900 damage on players without the glitch, so it can oneshot players with low Vit. The damage is fine already, but I think they could make it more reliable, either make the actual grab work more reliably or speed up the casting time a bit.
Gotta love how buggy sacred flame is. Triple grabs, grabbing while hit making it do no damage, etc. Also the tracking being so ridiculous it can catch people sprinting around you or roll spamming. 11/10 best spell in the game.

The invader would come through the door saying "Nooo living!" And you'd have to go the whole day dying to them. The weak ones would be complaining in the back of the map; "Sir? Can I do some disconnecting?" "NO YOU HAD ALL THE BOSS FIGHTS TO DO THAT!" "Oh come on, sir!"

Its a bug, but sacred flame needs a buff like this. Obviously not 5000 dmg, but if i can get two/one shot by sorcery then sacred flame deserves more than 500 dmg
+TheeCM5 Im level 60 and using it with like 33 faith and 20 int (and all three rings). It also two shots everyone I go against. Only slightly less than Vestiges, and people walk into Sacred Flame all the time. I think its good. Maybe like 30% more range on the grab, but apart from that its perfect.
+DaS Guardians Locking on kind of screws it a bit, you have to get the grapple with lock on inactive so you can turn during the animation. And yes, investing in Faith/Int with the appropriate rings makes it well worth the risk.

This works with Dark Hand instead of a multi-hit riposte weapon, thanks to Dark Hand's skill having multiple hits. It actually does more damage than using something like thrall axe, as far as I can tell.

Static poise is not in the game anymore, however, what Iron Flesh does instead is temporarily turn you into a infinite hp/defense cheater and turning off your stagger animations in exchange for some FP and putting you at 99,9% equip load. At this point a building could fall down on you and you would just slowwalk out of the rubble ( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ )
+Lakanus Actually, Iron Flesh (and Perseverance, but it degenerates to current poise count which is calculated based on player value thus to 0 as the glow fades after the first hit) use true poise, Iron flesh applying the maximum unbugged stat count possible of 100. Thus heavy weapon users (and stuff like the guaranteed ragdoll from the BKGS 2h charged attack) are good counters to it. Iron flesh working with true poise is because it (just like pers afterglow) do not use the player stat for it, but as a buff effect (same for iron fleshs "weight bonus", opening up some funny combos).

Well sacred flame is decent damage anyway (stronger than chaos bed vestiges) and is great against shields
I've done it a couple of times without glitches (they were fairly low vigor compared to average but still)

+DaS Guardians Locking on kind of screws it a bit, you have to get the grapple with lock on inactive so you can turn during the animation.
And yes, investing in Faith/Int with the appropriate rings makes it well worth the risk.

This works with Dark Hand instead of a multi-hit riposte weapon, thanks to Dark Hand's skill having multiple hits. It actually does more damage than using something like thrall axe, as far as I can tell.

Static poise is not in the game anymore, however, what Iron Flesh does instead is temporarily turn you into a infinite hp/defense cheater and turning off your stagger animations in exchange for some FP and putting you at 99,9% equip load. At this point a building could fall down on you and you would just slowwalk out of the rubble ( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ )

+Lakanus Actually, Iron Flesh (and Perseverance, but it degenerates to current poise count which is calculated based on player value thus to 0 as the glow fades after the first hit) use true poise, Iron flesh applying the maximum unbugged stat count possible of 100. Thus heavy weapon users (and stuff like the guaranteed ragdoll from the BKGS 2h charged attack) are good counters to it.
Iron flesh working with true poise is because it (just like pers afterglow) do not use the player stat for it, but as a buff effect (same for iron fleshs "weight bonus", opening up some funny combos).

Apparently, and i hate this thing, the first time i encountered it, the asshole 1 hit K'Od all three of my phantoms before i even knew what was happening, and then he glitched it through my shield, i hate this glitch so much
+Desert Rogue Yeah I do enjoy Pineapples vids, but spreading this glitch is on the one hand nice so the devs are pressured to fix this shit asap but on the other hand it leads to many many player abusing this (though to be fair, it's very easy to counter it)
+TheAzureKite only however if you know how to counter it, as mainly being a pve player, i am still learning the ropes of the pvp, and when something such as this can be very difficult to deal with, i still have a hard time judging phantom range
