- I struggled with this painting a bit. I love how the cells on the sides came out, it is exactly what i wanted. But the center was not what i wanted. But i just stuck with it and came out with something that i really like. And as well i LOVE the gold lacing that ended up popping up in those areas! So exciting when you work so hard for a pour and it actually works out.
Canvas is 20x20 in
Pouring medium: floetrol and water (thin consistency)
Satin enamel mixture: 50/50 white acrylic paint and satin enamel plus a little liquitex pouring medium and water
Colors: 24 karat gold, aqua marine, silver (extreme sheen)
Paints in the center cup blue violet, aqua, gold, paynes grey

I gotta say this is by far one of my favorite paintings. From our side of the canvas I loved the lines you added and couldn't see why you didn't. And I was sad that so much of the aqua marine was dumped off but then you added it in the middle and whaaaat... blew my mind! And the sides the whole time were stunning! ❤❤❤
Always love your choice of colors!!! Hopefully when I start doing projects I can do as great as you do😊👌
Be prepared to be addicted.........I started late summer and cant get enough- it would be much worse if I had lots of room!!!!! And dont feel like u have to spend barrels of cash- I started on cardboard with the 50 cent apple barrel paints and- I still use some of them- the bright blue is a favorite........
Shannon O'Brien it sure looks addicting I can not wait! I actually have all the supplies I need.... I just have been watching so many videos because there are SO many ways and techniques to do it... I bought the smaller canvases and also bought some tiles to practice on....
@@LongnailsNJ do 1 technique at a time.........I started on flip cups.......I'm still working on ring pours- I take Lyrica for nerve damage and it sometimes gives me a tremor- so they r frustrating for me- cuz I just wanna SO bad and I try once in awhile but I just cant.......I mostly do straight pours and true dutch pours........Molly, Kanella, Fiona, Dirty Artist r some of my fav's-also Smart Art Studio.........I'm hoping here in another month or so to have a channel up n started- we all have 2 start somewhere

@@LongnailsNJ course not.........I also have bad back issues.....I've had 8 lumbar back surgeries and had Caudal Equina which is why I have trouble doing ring pours- because of the Lyrica.....I would LOVE to jot take it but- I need it so- it is what it is
I love this one. To me it looks like I'm looking down on a tree stump and the snow on the ground with the wood;and flowers just starting to pop their heads up. You do some stunning work. I don't know if I should give up - or try much harder with my efforts! You make art, I make a mess.😕

Thank you! The cells are created from a reaction of very thin paints and the mixture of extreme sheen and satin enamel paint by deco art

Have you ever used cheap paint? And if so how does it work compared to the more pricier paints?
Yes and there Is no real comparison if you're doing it for yourself and you just wanna have fun with it then use any paints that you can afford but if you really want lasting pieces and you want bright colors I would definitely use at least student grade paints if not professional grade paints the pigments hold a lot better you have less cracking and you can do so much more with the better paints

How do you make your cells so big? Mines are tiny.
It's the satin enamel and extreme sheen, they start tiny and then I stretch them out and they grow
How much satin enamel and sheen do I mix with the paint?
