Awesome video. Thank you very much!!! I am so glad that you hooked up with Martin, as I would never have found your site. May happiness and love forever be upon your family.
Thanks for the reminder. I was almost there and then dropped it to finish my book Cymroglyphics book on reading heiroglyphics. I have loads in the can and must get it done and out there - plus the contact with CADW :)
So interesting! Big thank you from the US for your work to identify and preserve that history. Your video kept popping up in my feed and as she is my namesake I just had to watch and learn! God bless your important work!
Fantastic video! Thanks for putting that together. I've visited it a few times and like you say, the area is full of interesting place names. If you follow the river up stream you quickly get to the mill of the Knight (felindre farchog) then to the head of the skeleton (pen y penglog) then to the large castle (Castell Mawr) then to the remains of an ancient camp which is next to the week of the raven (felin y cigfran) before you know it you arrive at cross well and the head of the cross. That's just a small slice of what is here. That's if you just head in one direction from nevern. I could go on and on and in about all the really interesting bits here in this area but is be at it for hours. That's without mentioning pentre ifan and the bluestones and the boat shaped graves and the large settlements bla bla bla ... It's insane! All I know is that something was going on here and it was happening for a long long time. There is almost no interest in it from anyone... Crazy!
Cheers Rhys - I would like to see all of those and do a full guide if you can guide me around. Although I have been to Pentre Ifan. I shot some video but havent done any research on it yet. Was very handy in the rain. :) Please send an email to ross AT cymroglyphic DOT com or get involved with the Britainshiddenhistory Facebook group
The CD is now available - only took 9 months for me to get back to you!! LOL www.cymroglyphics.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=61&product_id=68
Did you see the pilgrim's footsteps indented inn the rocks on a path to the left of the cross? So many thousands of feet must have walked there... !!! Just a thought... it looks to me that the seal has already been broken? I think the cross was originally carved on one piece of some and that, at some point, someone has blasted through the rock and then building a slate wall in place... as you say, it looks just like that other more modern wall!
@@BritainsHiddenHistoryRoss I think your lad is sitting on the kneeling ledge. I have a short video on my channel with the footsteps worn into the rock. The cross faces the peak of the sacred 'mountain', Carn Ingli. It is also precisely in in the central flow of the dragon current I've traced through the three counties over 3 years. The behaviour of the Ddraig in Nevern indicates what a significant 'realm' the Nevern clas was.
@@ellisctaylor74 Thanks Ellis. Great video. The pics were handy such as the "Bledding yew" at 19'. Thanks for including views of Carn Ingil - I will be making a video soon of how Never forms the centre of a great cross that has been made. The only thing I couldnt quite make out was your mention of Tennison (?) stone in the grave yard - could you explain that? If I knew how to highlight or pin a comment to the top I would do so - good work and I hope people from here also take a look at it.
Thank you Ross, very enlightening. It put everything in to perspective by showing us the place of the cross and the church including the translation of the place names. The stones were incredible in that church. Do you know how old that fig tree is? Because what I know is a fig tree is a very mysterious tree. Thanks again Ross. Brilliant!!!
@@BritainsHiddenHistoryRoss Hi Ross, I made a mistake, It was not a fig tree, I checked again about that tree you were talking about in the grave yard that bleeds, it was a Yew Tree. I just wondered if you knew how old it was?
My dad was from Nevern, he grew up there, shame he is no longer with us or I would have asked him what he knew, was he told any stories that were passed down through the family
I also saw your other comment asking about the meaning of Nevern in Welsh. Nef is the root for all sorts of words related to heaven and Nefern is generally assumed to be something to do with heavenly. Thanks to your great question (which YT seems not to want to show) I also looked up Ern in an old dictionary. One of the definitions is "to settle a bargain". So Nef-ern could be to settle a heavenly bargain which is pretty powerful for a place with the cross! Thanks - this will be on tonight's show.
Is there any historical record of what became of the True Cross? Many relics of it are said to be kept in Santa Croce in Rome. What is the evidence which points to Nevern?
pi was thinking about who joan of arc may have been - was she boudica.?.............if that cross originally made of wood and if so has it been petrified?
in the end ross it just comes down to science and religion, and the druids, who worshiped hu, who was basically druidic jesus, it was a fair system fair laws it all just comes down to the metaphysics and science of man and the universe . the virtues, present, courage, conduct, the beginning and the end. ... under the lord hu and his peace .. you wrote about king caractacus bringing christianity to rome, but thats besides the point ross, we were religious and philosophical, or metaphysical then, before we were christians.. thankyou ross
Been watching all your vids Ross👍 I would love if you did more vids with Allan, been looking out for them for ages😀 I'm wondering what you /Allan think about Ralph Ellis's work on Jesus King of Oddessa(modern day)? He surmises Jesus was sent to Chester to be held captive in a fort. I realise this to some extent varies from The welsh(British)account However he does place him in Britain. Hope you do lots more vids👍
Hi Barry, more videos with Alan are planned. I hadn't heard of Ralph's work and havent heard Alan mention it. Could you post a couple of links or some more info and I will have a look and try to get Alan to have a look as well.
The problem with Ellis is he constantly uses modern terms to describe ancient events. Confusing foreigners into thinking it's English history. Who knows if he does it on purpose.
He has, that is a carry on to these people he is discussing. King Arthur, othwrwise know as Andrigathius and Arthwys, as their were two are direct descendants of these people.
if in deed it did happen, i doubt that they would have given her the true cross, even if it still existed some two hundred years after the event. they probably just palmed her off with some old timbers from anything they could find.
The true cross of Jesus would could either been burned or used again. I do not believe she found the actual cross. The early church did not have the time or means to preserve it.
Quite possibly. The point here is that this is what the Christian world of the time believed was the true cross and what drew thousands of pilgirms to the site for a vision
I would like to respectfully suggest that it may have been preserved or protected, at least parts of it, after the resurrection. The world was so quickly turned upside down by the apostles who wouldn’t be silenced about the truth. Also, the rapid conversion of so many people so soon after the event, growth of what became the Christian church, as recorded by the early writers and martyrs, supports this I think. Having grown up Roman Catholic, we venerated relics of saints, etc. Just my perspective! Blessings to all! ✝️💜
Let's not forget, The Roman church is not the same as The original one. It would be in their benefit to deny all these histories. In modern times anyway. Can you imagine the world's reaction if the true cross was found within Wales? Alot of people would have alot to answer for.
She must have had a lot of money, also I dont think they would want to upset Constantine, and don't forget they would have wanted to deny jesus existed, what better opertunity to get rid of any evidence by selling it to helen

So intriguing and history with such great landscape is fantastic. Love the dog too!

Fascinating. A lot of historic sites in the Preseli region. The stone cross and menhir need to be protected from the elements.
Darn, need to look inside that cave !
Wonderful, thank you

There is a chapel built by Helen in her birth place of Colchester which is now used by the Russian orthodox church.

if in deed it did happen, i doubt that they would have given her the true cross, even if it still existed some two hundred years after the event. they probably just palmed her off with some old timbers from anything they could find.
Do you mean Brythonic Empress?
No, Brythonic was a latin term for the Cymro people (Tribes). The Cymro have always self identified as such. The assyrians are proof of this.
