Hello, and thanks for your comment. Rank Math's HTML sitemap is a better option for SEO. HTML sitemaps help improve the user experience by making content more accessible and navigable, and they also enable search engine crawlers to index pages more quickly. Additionally, Rank Math makes it extremely simple to create an HTML sitemap on your website. Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
I can exclude specific pages from XML sitemap by no indexing the page, still they shop up in HTML sitemap. Why is that? Or how can I exclude them also in HTML sitemap?
Hello, thank you for your comment. When you set a post to noindex, it will be excluded both from the XML sitemap as well as HTML sitemap. In case, noindexing doesn’t remove your post from HTML Sitemap, please open a support ticket here so we can look at the issue: rankmath.com/support/

What if your sitemap is so big the page crashes? How can we force it to break the sitemap into different pages on a really large website? Specifically the html sitemap.
Fantastic! Thanks for this. Love how you always explain everything well in the videos. One question. Say I have a blog of 1400 posts. Will that then be too big a sitemap? just a big list?
Hello, Thank you for your comment. Your sitemap can be divided into multiple pages for better organization, and this setting controls the maximum number of sitemap items per page. We recommend 200 links per sitemap as we’ve observed that Google responds better to smaller pages in sitemaps. With this in mind, Rank math uses the link per sitemap limit to break down sitemaps into smaller parts. Since you have 2,700 and 5,500 posts on your site and have set the links per sitemap to 200, you can see post-sitemaps named from /post-sitemap1 to /post-sitemap14. This is done automatically and it helps in having small-sized sitemaps making them easier to crawl. This will not affect the indexing of your posts or page. Hope this helps. If you run into any issues, open a support ticket and we would love to help you sort it: rankmath.com/support/ We are here to help.
