    Thank you for the quick reply I was most interested in the alignment feature roof installing Starlink this weekend

      You're welcome. The alignment might have taken five minutes time. Primarily because it wasn't obvious to me that the orientation of the antenna image on the map can move around and shows the three axis rotation. The alignment feature works well. You'll likely find it easy enough

    Thank you for the video I have a question does the Starlink app work when you are in bypass mode

      @homesteadyall  5 месяцев назад

      The app still works but you lose some functionality. The app has functions for the router and antenna, so you lose only the router piece. You can still do the essential antenna and speed test and other app features like support, statistics, obstructions, alignment. To bring back the router, you would have to do a factory reset.

    Is that the updated pole mount? Any looseness in the pole mount?

      There's not a lot of movement after tightening the adapter to the pole. I wish they'd have gone with a different design for the system but alas. This is working great. I've seen no shifting or degradation in signal. The pole mount was purchased separately (link in description). The adapter came from starlink and tightens via set screw. This one is the latest technically it's gen 3 revision 4 compatible

      I added the link for the adapter to the video description shop.starlink.com/products/us-consumer-mount-pipeadapter-gen3

    My problem isn’t the speeds, it’s obstructions all the time , sky to the south is clear but they want me pointing it north right at the woods with tall trees

      Unfortunately that's the only direction. Have you considered building a radio tower or removing particular trees. Would it fare better on the other side of the house on a high eve mount?

      @@homesteadyall I’m in the middle of trees, to the north points to someone else’s property so I can’t remove those trees, these are tall pine trees, I thought about putting it up on a pine tree but that’ll but a lot of work, I’m kinda screwed , watching shows seems to be fine but the kids gaming is nearly impossible to play without the games freezing

      I don't know the exact layout but the angle of the antenna is about 10 °. I remember seeing a video of another channel in a similar situation and they mounted it at the top of a tall comms tower about 40' up and it was enough to get above obstructions. Hope you can figure it out. Sounds like you're good on buffered videos but latency is not good for gaming. Those towers can cost money but you can use it for other things also. Like ham radio, CB, PA speaker
