Depends on the car but a stage 1 shouldn’t hurt things too much. The 3.0 s5s take nicely to tunes. My friend has a stage 2 tune with the extra pulley and hasn’t had any problems.

@@MikeMcclendon1377 I'm new to this channel so unsure as to what other things kev had done to his S5, however I have the miltek exhaust on mine and sounds very similar to the AWE system but it has a very smooth, deep note throughout the range. I would also strongly recommend getting a nice open cone filter with a heat shield like the FORGE or REVO intake kits. The supercharger sound is amazing!
I have a stock B9 S5, and have been debating between track and touring, too. I’m definitely not trying to get pulled over or wake the neighbors, but I do want to make my presence known. Would you say touring accomplishes all that?

What does it do when you put your car in sport or dynamic with the exhaust? I have a stock b8.5 s5 and it gets louder when I go into sport do you still have that ability? Thanks
These 6 cyl S5’s have power but they sound like garbage no matter what exhaust. All sound gutless and raspy. Similar to the BMW’s of this generation. B8 V8 S5/RS5 are the only beautiful sounding engines for the S platform.
@Jon Pey Only good sounding 6 cyl from VW/Audi was the VR6. No 6 cyl engine produced by them even comes close to that raw VR sound. We need it back supercharged/twin turbo.

To be loud, its loud. But the sound itself..... beurk. It sousnds like an annoying teenager's civic. So in fact its obnoxious, annoying and frankly, i'd be ashamed to drive with that. It lacks graves, loudness, growl. I know its a v6 and not a v8, so its harder to get a deep growling sound like an f-type or my cayenne V8. But I remember putting a scorpion exhaust system on my 2.0l turbo impreza back in the days and it managed to sound almost like a V8. I know its just a question of personnal preference, but for me, if you are to have something loud that people can hear, at least, it has to be a nice sound (like a v8). Not something that makes you look like a teenager with a rust pierced exhaust... But the important is that you like it bro. That, and that I don't have to hear it... lol

I put Scorpion exhaust on my 215 S4. I chose it cuz it's a bit quieter than this. AWE was just too loud for me.

How is the drone on the inside?
Really not bad because it still has mufflers. Definitely a bit louder sound at lower RPM’s but it’s a much better sound in my opinion

Holds revs longer. The exhaust isn't valved so nothing really different as far as noise level!
