Dear Mr. Barton, Allow me to express my belief that this set of recordings, is a gift to humanity, not only for your subscribers. On top of that, you provide a link with the whole set of recordings in. mp3 format. Your generosity is beyond words... Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for this gift! I will listen to it as long as I breath :)
This is a monumental achievement Paul. Bach's music always leaves me speechless but listening to all this today really gave me an idea of the unparalleled greatness of an intellect who lived ages ago. We are so blessed to have such work available to us. Thank you.
This is truly beautiful Bach! People comment that it's an amazing accomplishment; that is true but it also sounds fantastic! Paul has played these with brilliance, gracefulness, and feeling. The recording quality is superb and the mixing balanced so the piano sounds great too. The result is enchanting music that we all can enjoy for hours and further adorns the great name of Bach himself.
To Mr Paul Barton: You did something unbelievable: 2 parts of WTC, not really many pianist can say that played all WTC of Bach. I gonna say more: I know just several of them. With this video your channel entered into another level, no, not level, The Level. You've got my all-time applause. Bravo!
Thank you so much, Paul, for putting these treasures online for free. Not only that, but this is seriously one of the best performances of this set I've heard!
Thank you so much, Paul. Nothing has been as helpful for me as your split screen score videos are for improving my reading, fingering, and harmonic understanding. This is invaluable source material for learning and practice. Rest easy that you are helping hundreds like me!
Thank you so much for uploading this complete version of the Prelude and Fugues. I've been playing my whole life and recently I've been playing even more. Your videos are very inspirational, encouraging, and provide me with so much hope. I recently programmed my synthesizers to play the Goldberg Variations, since I'm never happy with my own performances. I did record a couple with myself playing, but they are far from a desirable level. I've always wanted to hear them in the Wendy Carlos style, so that's why I did it. Bach is by far my favorite composer, so you uploading this for all to enjoy is a great gift to the world. Take care, Sam.
I appreciate your professionalism, especially keeping it clean as Bach intended it to be. Urtext, no pedals, not much difference between the dynamics, simply baroque and genious. You can hear the Cembalo, sometimes the organ too. so lovely. Most appreciated 🙏🏻 P.s. Sometimes less is more ;)
Just wanted to thank you, Paul. I'm a music educator (orchestra) and a few years ago I challenged myself to start learning Bach's Inventions and Sinfonias. At the time, I could only handle right-hand melodies and left-hand block chords. So sad. Over the course of the past few years, and via your great videos, I have made it through a great number of pieces and reminded myself how to learn a 'new' instrument to improve my own teaching. Again, thanks!
Can't get over how the Bass Melodies just hit you in the guts. Music as a physical force. Wonderful. Hit me hard, Mr Piano Player. The Reverb is just right.
I always gain valuable insight on each and every piano work by watching every single detail of Paul hands movement and the score above. He is a my virtual piano teacher.
After years of enjoying your tutorials (beginning with the Chopin etudes), this monumental achievement has made me appreciate your gifts even more. I am honored to be your latest Patreon. Best wishes to you and your lovely family.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart Paul Barton, this video of Bach has brought peace to my soul, as Bach is my all time favorite Composer. His works have never disappointed me, and you interpreting all pieces in both WTC books is definitely not an easy task. Thank you Paul for this wholesome video. :)
That's one behemoth of a project completed. Really shows the kinds of results capable with consistent effort. On a side note, I can't imagine how long it took to upload 4+ hours of HD video....
Since you posted this, i listened to the whole thing twice. And let me tell you Paul, what you have achieved here is nothing short of a Miracle. You continue to motivate me with each upload but this one just left me breathless. Truly one of the best pianists i know of, well done!
What a phenomenal achievement! I have played a dozen or so of these in public, but thought that several were either not worth the effort or not interesting enough for the ears of the general public. This performance has changed my mind on both counts! So, I am back practising hard! Truly magnificent! Your channel has been an inspiration for many years - and will continue to be so. Thanks you so much...

This is just so awesome. I'm currently working on the very beginning of the WTC volume 1, and to hear it played so masterfully is just a great inspiration. It also gives me a goal to aim for in my own learning.
I am very grateful to be able to hear and see how Bach is played on the piano. Thank you Maestro Barton for making his art and skill available to everyone through the internet. I really appreciate your way of bringing out all the voices in the fugues and the cleanliness of the execution. I kindly ask you to continue to disseminate his art, perhaps with the complete performance of the French and English Suites. Thank you Master Barton.
Andras Schiff used to be my go-to choice for WTC on piano, but I admire your unpretentious approach, which creates a less refined sound but not unsuitable for Bach. Seeing this on youtube, I must say (without pretension) your work does a great service to music lovers.
Truly monumental - and you make it look so easy...the fingerings, hand and finger movements are always so smooth and logical. Hats off to you for a great achievement - well done! I'm also enjoying your many contributions, tutorials and overall approach to piano playing. Many thanks!
Thank you. I keep listening the versions of Rosalyn Tureck, Glenn Gould and Xiaomei Zhu all these five years. I really appreciate your intuitive videos. Best wishes.
