"Sickeningly saccharine" basically she's so sweet it's gross. Think of it like this, say you eat a piece of your favorite candy, and then you eat like 10 pieces at the same time, you like that candy but all of it is just too much. So it's not that it's bad (or even actually gross) it's just A LOT.
