Every single synth, from early Moog, to Buchla to the Yamaha DX-7 to the Synclavier, all have very distinct signature sounds or tonality. As great as they were (and still are actually), those defining characteristics meant you couldn't really get all the sounds you were after... I've owned many synths since 1973, and I've got to say that UVI Falcon is probably the one synth that can really get ANY sound you want. But even more than that, it has a quality that is rich and pure. I've owned it for just under a year and I've got to say, this update is mind-blowing. And that it was free was is amazing. I own over 100 libraries (orchestral, all-in-on Arturia, Omnisphere, guitars-- yes, I'm a sound hog), but Falcon might be the best.
I used to have dozens of VST's installed but since I built a new music production rig I basically installed Falcon and a bunch of its expansions and find this will cover most songs. It is a hard sell without the UI of existing synths but once you look past that you will find a world of sound design pleasure. I can not work without it anymore... Thanks for updating and your continued support guys at UVI.
Wait what, MIDI out feature... how did i miss this? or is this new in v3 ? :) And thank you for making the upgrade free for us v2 users and not being cash-grabbers like some other non named plugin vendors. You guys rock!❤🔥
UVI really has found a good presenter in you Venus Theory! Good voice, knows what he is talking about, no nonsense approach. And, judging by your videos, UVI has build THE can-do-it-all synth that i have always wanted.. but never heard of.. until now.. I will buy this beauty today! Thanks for the in-depth videos!
Give Dan a break a$$, the poor guy can’t handle it any more due to his health problems. This guy is more than capable, if you don’t like him go and get a gay cat and move to a nudist beach in North Korea
I love it too. But. Falcon has a ton of stuff. I'm glad every instrument has it's own GUI so I can manage the settings without knowng them deeply (I will, I need some time)
Its only missing a good preset browser. With all these vintage vault and other libraries which have multiple presets and each library instrument can have multiple presets inside as well it gets really difficult to browse all of that to find a good matching sound for your track. I would focus the development on that part instead of adding new cryptic sequencers etc etc.
I bought Falcon YEARS ago and paid hundreds of dollars for it. At this $149 intro price if you don't buy this you're NUTS!!! The free Falcon Factory Patches is worth the price alone.
This is absolutely amazing. I get it for the special price with a coupon of 100,- This instrument can really do everything. The possibilities are endless and the sound is amazing. Ok…it will take a long time to discover all its features but I‘m blown away by this plugin. For 199 including a 100 bugs coupon it is a no brainer
Keeping going on UVI, you guys products are really awesome and easy to use!!! The initial sound patches could already beat a lot stuff by competitors out there, and if you want to do your own unique samples UVI also offers a highly customized function to make us achieve our goals. Also expected to see more vintage synths such as JD-990, Proteus II, Korg Trinity, AKAI S3200/6000s etc. to be resurrected by UVI haha!
The only thing that is completely not as expected is under edit, the single flow appears to be backwards from what I would expect. Why have the OSC section (the source of the signal flow) at the bottom and essentially flow upwards? Is there anyway to reverse this?
I have a question: if I buy a Falcon 3 and a Synth Anthology 4, is it possible to tweak presets under Falcon in the same way I can do with Arturia V Collection where I can modify any aspect of the sound generation? More to the point can I change the oscillators parameters of the presets in Synth Anthology?
" Each oscillator has its own editing tab with basic ADSR, Filter ADSR (plus multiple filters with different modes), Pitch and Voicing controls, and various modulators with flexible routing options. There’s also an FX tab for each oscillator complete with Waveshaper, Flanger, Chorus, Phaser, EQ, and more. Other features include a dual-layer sequencer and arpeggiator, a Global FX tab with Send FX and Bus FX, and MPE support."
Question here! Is it possible to slide with an MPE Y axis to transition between sample layers? Like you would with velocity in a multisampled instrument, but then in a legato/sustained way? There's no current sampler that lets you do this....
CAN IT DO VOCAL-MORPH SAMPLING. EXAMPLE: I SING (MY VOICE) and for example I SAMPLE ELVIS'S VOICE RECORDING... AND BLEND MORPH THE TWO SAMPLES ALOWING A BOOT-STRAPING FOR MY VOICE HAVING THE ELVIS SOUND WHEN I SING?
Falcon back, everyone! :) Btw, is there an edu pricing for it? I'd appreciate that because it cost a pretty penny otherwise. Not saying it's not worth it!
I just bought version 2, litterally just installed it. Does that mean we get a free update? If so, omg I love this company. Merci beaucoup you beautiful people at UVI. Much ❤ from Belgium.
When I updated Falcon to 3.0, It works in new projects but it is frozen in older projects. The visuals moves but I can't use Falcon. Is there a way that I can fix this? I tried reinstalling, and updating.
Falcon is an amazingly powerful tool! I feel a little spoilt to say this but I’d love to be able to change theme on it as I now find the theme too dark for my eyes. I mostly use the effects like the 4 band compressor, the different delays and reverbs, and ircam stretch so all and all I feel like I wasted my money in a way. I don’t really like editing samples on it, the UI I mean. For a real sound designer I couldn’t recommend it enough though, it runs really stable with a powerful computer. The sound and effects are some of the best quality I’ve heard.
I'm still an amateur. Said this, I know Falcon is a great instrument builder. And yes, it can be layered, complicated and crazy. Because it's exactly why they made it. Too many UIs? Of course. You buy a complete instrument with its own interface and everything has its own UI, if needed. That's the beauty of Falcon: you can control every detail. Pigments is a great synth, without all the details Falcos has. Of course you can build a lot in both ways but the approach is very different.
@@ipezmusic Cameron's instructions are good, UVI should get him to do more. I've been inspired to try and learn Falcon again as it's obviously amazingly powerful. It is however extremely frustrating to learn, I feel like it could have a better interactive help menu, but hopefully it will all make sense one of these days! :)
In the basket (planned for 3/4 November, for 200 € launch promo + 100 € voucher for expansions). Despite I hate iLok protection (not the worst, though), I'll do exception. This Falcon 3 is a killer. UVI is a French company, arent? (if true, I'm proud to be a French guy - lol, 2nd degree 😁). Thank you Cameron for this presentation video! Greetings from Nîmes, south of France.
Falcon looks pretty awesome. I wonder if anyone uses it with FL studio. How's CPU load?! This synth seem like an uber overload of goodness, but is there a price to pay in terms of CPU?
Just bought it. I'm a beginner. Someone wrote, Falcon is not "intuitive". Well, I still have to find an intuitive, easy to understand synth out there. Does it have too many UIs? Strange interfaces? Let me say, they are a big plus to me. Like the colors in Pigments. We just need colors, effects and we deserve a little fun! We have real computers today, with real power and storage enough to make whatever we want.
What is your experience with it so far? Especially compared to Pigments? I love the layout in Pigments, everything seems to make sense, however, so far it has not been inspiring to me. This could be because I have not played enough with it (or just the user), but the presets also do not wow me. I don't want to fall into the trap of yet another softsynth haha
I'm a beginner but AFAIK Falcon is an "instrument builder". Pigments is a great synth, it's made to play and it does it really well. So you can use Pigments like an instrument and Falcon like a workstation. Said this, of course you have a _lot_ to do in both but in Falcon you can achieve a deeper control (or more madness lol). That's why Falcon is made that way.
I am not sure whats going on with UVI servers, but i have abyssmal downloadspeeds and the site perfroms horrible with timeouts for the GUI to load even. It's not on my end because very other site is running smooth and fast (i have 250Mbit Cable). I bought the Falcon 3 Suite and getting 48kb/s download. WTF? This is worse then 20 years ago on my 56k-Dialup-Modem.
make turtorial on how to get the keygroups in a program! I made a few really cool multis but I do it wrong. I get all the keygroups on separete channels on the mixer. Omg the amazing effects man! But, my problem is that I make mostly one keygroup per note and want choke. But choke don´t work if I don´t do it right, witch is to put/copy the keygroups in a program/part. UBER SYNTH HYBRID OF ALL TIME!
Habs gerade gekauft und komme noch gar nicht darauf klar wie heftig das teil ist. Hab nach 4 std. Wahrscheinlich noch nicht mal 5% des Potentials erfasst !
All in all a very weak update given it's a big number THREE. I see no core changes. Has layer/program level adsr triggering been fixed? And don't say there's keygroup level for this, there's much use for it on upper levels. Wavetable its ok, but maybe an option to draw your own tables? Or dragndrop files to make a table, not this creepy stuff with naming files in a special way and counting its samples? True additive synthesis with perharmonic control? Audiorate modulation? An ability to audiorate modulate layers with other layers or one oscillator with another? And I could name more... 😢
Hands down, my favorite synth. And, Cameron, thanks to you for introducing me to Falcon and UVI! Great stuff
UVI has a bundle sale on , if you didn't know, wow this is worth the entrance price by itself....OMG......this is crazy.....

In a world of thousands of synth emulations on the market, it's a fresh idea to have custom GUI and to revert to the look of hardware is just so 2010.
This is true, but keeps Falcon off the radar for many people who just buy the emulations@@kiillabytez
