Amr ibn Awf reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “By Allah, it is not poverty that I fear for you, but rather I fear you will be given the wealth of the world, just as it was given to those before you. You will compete for it just as they competed for it, and it will ruin you just as it ruined them.”

I think it should be DEEN in the DUNYA and not DEEN vs DUNYA. We are not monks.

Whenever a Muslim answers a question about an ayat in Quran and begins with “I think this means” etc versus the tafsir of that ayat by the established mufassireen then he needs to shut his mouth.
Islam is a wholistic religion. Islam is not just salat, fasting, and other rituals. It is important to go fall back on the Hadith in 40 Hadith by Imam Nawawi (ra)not 40 Hadith Al Quasi by imam Nawawi(ra). The Hadith in 40 Hadith by Imam Nawawi(ra) states that sex in marriage is an act of worship, going to school is a act of worship, taking the trash out for one’s mother is a act of worship. Perusing Dunya I respect in doing good is worship. There is also a ayah in the Quran that states that ALLAH created man and jinn to worship him. Your implication encourages a person to not see going to dunya as worship. PLEASE let me know what you think of my comments PLEASE. MAY ALLAH GRANT YOU SUCCESS IN THIS LIFE AND THE NEXT.
